Had a great day on LARC-5! We did a 1hr afternoon tour and it was worth every cent. Fun and Entertaining and caters all ages from 5yo to 99yo! Must do family fun!
Great day out on the bay with our host, Mark. Laid back, laconic local. Very knowledgeable about the area. We did the 2 hour lunch tour. A wrap, fruit, biscuit and cold drinks included. Highly recommended.
Fabulous, amazing tour. Great value for money the guide Whitey and the Skipper Jono were so informative. The tour had it all from history of Bustard Lighthouse to wild life, seeing dolphins in the ocean so we joined them in the surf. 10/10 high recommend.
What a fabulous day out. It was amazing from beginning to end with Kev as our tour guide and Jono the skipper. Fantastic lunch and tobogganing down the sand dunes was so much fun. We loved the tour of the lighthouse and surrounds. If you’re at 1770 don’t miss out on this awesome day.
1770 LARC Tours was awesome. We did the 1 Hour Sunset Cruise but They offer other Tours Daily. Loved Our Guide, Loved the Tour.
Amazing day! So recommend the LARC Paradise tour. Also give the sand boarding a go! The staff were lovely and very knowledgable and entertaining.
✅️ What a hoot! A Paradise Tour with larc-aholics, a lighthouse with a keeper and a happy memory I will store internally forever. I went along for a ride and was taken on a flight. Good stuff highly recommend. Image shown: with Stuart Buchanan- Author of the book "Taxi" and other titles.
I expected it to be ok, but it was really good! Allow extra time, as the driver/captain? spots something interesting, he just charges into the ocean to check it out. Very good and entertaining commentary. The lunch was fruit with choice of chicken/ham or veg wrap A great couple of hours, would definitely recommend the tour 👍

Really enjoyed the trip out to Lady Musgrave Island and reef tour. The staff were extremely friendly and caring. The tour of the Island was fantastic and very unique in its development as a coral island. The vegetation was beautiful. The food was provided all day in plentiful amounts. Appreciated the cup a soup for warmth and the scones were definitely a winner. Reef and sea creatures were in abundance and thoroughly enjoyed the snorkel. The icing on the cake was to view a whale close up on the return. Would recommend this tour.
It was certainly worth getting up early for this trip to Lady Musgrave Island. The crew were very professional and competent. We had lunch morning tea and afternoon tea – all was Complimentary and delicious. There was also the opportunity to purchase other drinks and snacks. It was interesting to walk around the island and learn a bit about the history of the southern barrier reef. Then to be guided through the lagoon to see the most impressive turtles. On our way back, the captain made a slight detour as he had been looking out for whales - We had a wonderful display from a mother and calf. I would highly recommend this trip.
The stars are for this magnificent island and lagoon. We were a little disappointed by the coral: most of it is brown, which doesn't mean it's dead, but rather due to algae. It doesn't look like coral with all the imaginable colors you can see elsewhere on the Great Barrier Reef so if you want to see coral go to the north. The worst part is that I've never paid for a wetsuit on a tour. Yes, it's written in the email, but to me, it's a joke. The price here is the same as for all the tours in GBR, with an extra charge for snorkeling. The wetsuit costs $10 per person, which isn't much, but it's a bit surprising it’s alaways included in the price…
Our family of four (kids are 12 and 7 year old boys) had an amazing time. The ride out was rough, and we were glad we took our motion sickness medication. However, it was worth it to be able to explore the island and snorkel the reef. The boat itself is comfortable and accommodating. The staff were very friendly, professional, and helpful. We saw tons of beautiful fish, many sea turtles, an octopus, and stingrays, and we were even treated to some whale watching on the smooth ride back!
We just came back from our experience at lady musgrave island and it was amazing. Highly recommend 1770 Reef. The crew and captain are very nice and friendly
Had a lovely day trip to Lady Musgrove island today. Safety procedures were well explained and demonstrated. The skipper a glimpse of a breaching whale. He diverted our course so that we could see mother and calf playing. We must have sat by them for 10 minutes. What great diversion!
Great snorkeling trip! We loved to see this part of the great barrier reef, see the corals and the turtles! The trip on the boat is one we will never forget haha, the crew was so nice and helpful. The sea sickness pills we recommend 👌!
We had a lovely day out by the reef with 1770 reef experience. The crew were incredible - super friendly and communicative, we felt well taken care of and safe every step of the way. It was our first time seeing turtles live in the water. An incredible adventure!

Beautiful location in 1770, just up the hill from 1770 camping ground. Easy walk to private beach to the right, 1.5 klm walk one way to the top of the hill but if you don't cope well with steps it may be better to go for a short walk then drive up to the Roundhill Headland carpark and then walk to the lookout from there.
Pleasant for a morning walk, steps were a surprise. Scenes were beautiful.
An amazing historical place. Nice easy walk to the point. Beautiful scenery with outstanding views!
(Translated by Google) Beautiful, beautiful park with a really beautiful view. (Original) Skøn, skøn park med virkelig smuk udsigt.
At the time of writing this review It looks like the walkway is very new and there is no signage up yet. It is wheelchair accessible with a small incline. The walk itself takes less than an hour to do and has some very pretty outlooks so stop and look around. We found it very easy to get a park in the carpark and is highly recommended if visiting 1770.

We had a top night paddling with Simon into the sunset. A beautiful night to see a gorgeous sunset, Simon was fun and passionate about his love for the marine life and 1770. Absolutely stunning, highly recommend you won't be disappointed. Thanks for the wine and spoils of your home made Anzac biscuits and popcorn 🍿 Simon they were delicious! 😋
We rented a kayak for a self guided paddle and it was awesome. The birds and marine life you can spot as you take a leisurely paddle are totally awesome. The Soldier Crabs on the sand bars were out of this world. The weather turned on our last night so we missed the opportunity to return for the sunsets paddle which looks really good.
We did the sunset kayak tour and just .. WOW! This was one of the best tours we’ve done since landing in Australia. Simon was so knowledgeable about the area of 1770 and its marine life. Answered questions we’ve been wondering about Captain Cook and why the town is called 1770 also! We saw 3 types of dolphins swimming metres away from us and unbelievably saw whales breaching in the distance - SO AWESOME. You also sea loads of rays in the water and Simon even said you sometimes see turtles! The two person kayaks are actually so much better than when I’ve done it solo as it does get tiring and you cover a lot more distance with a two man - IT’S THE WAY TO GO. Simon’s home made biscuits and popcorn during sunset was the icing on the cake.
BOOK NOW!!!! I cannot recommend this enough. From the start to the end, the tour was brilliant. Hosted with an excellent level of detail on the local wildlife and by great people who care about the environment they live in. I hadn’t kayaked as an adult and it’s something I would do again in a heart beat. So much fun and a great way to see the area. Again, BOOK NOW!!! You won’t regret it.
Awesome experience. Perfect dog friendly activity. Fit a golden retriever in the back and got good tips on how to kayak with a dog. $35 for two hours. The area is amazing, in the morning you can stop on the sand islands and see crabs.
OMG, this is the best!! Went kayaking with our fur babies in Oct at low tide. This experience far exceeded our expectations!! We were first time kayakers as were our pups, and we had a ball!! Our experienced instructor gave us tips and confidence. It was honestly one of the best things we have experienced all together with the fur kids. Can’t recommend highly enough! A must do!!
Absolutely fantastic afternoon on the sunset tour. Our tour guide Simon was not only helpful with kayaking tips and safety but he was very knowledgeable on the history of the area. We saw dolphins playing close by and it was a relaxing and enjoyable time to witness the beautiful sunset of 1770. The snacks and drinks were a nice touch. Highly recommend
The tour I went on was quite unremarkable but wasn't bad. We spent a couple of hours out: some of it on the water, some of it looking for things on land, and some looking around rocks at the shore. I think it would have been better had the guide checked out what was there to see before we went out walking around searching for things on the sand. The guide was very interested in the wildlife, but not that friendly and forthcoming with local knowledge. It was thoughtful to bring small fish for us to feed the pelicans with though, which was quite fun.

Absolutely stunning ! What was this place, back in the day? 24th May ‘70 Lieutenant James Cook, captain, came ashore and landed on the beach of Round Hill Creek.
Awesome views, heaps of butterfly's. There are a few steps, overall pretty easy walk
A lovely walk that takes you along the coast in mainly tree sheltered forest with lots of butterflies to be seen. A fairly easy path. I do recommend bringing water as it can get quite hot. The coastline is absolutely spectacular and the walking up to Bustard Point and into Joseph Banks Conservation Park is a good way to extend this walk.
I googled the Butterfly Walk and this came up...it's smack bang in the middle of the captain Cook walk and down a short bush path came to the most gorgeous little beach! Not a soul around, so peaceful and an excellent swimming beach (no waves) loved it! 😊
Great and easy walk with wonderful views towards 1770 lookout.
Went there at sunset to catch platypus searching for food....nice !
Great walking track well looked after
This is not the Round Hill Creek Walking Trail. That walk actually starts 500m back down Captain Cook Drive at the Captain Cook Memorial Monument

Best day of our 4 week holiday. Tony & Sandy were the perfect hosts, they took us snorkeling at the reef, we saw some whales on the way & then we went fishing. The whole time a pod of dolphins were swimming around the boat. We caught so many fish, book a tour with these guys, you won't be sorry. BEST DAY EVER Kim, Frog, Dusty & Ash
Tony and Sandy took us out to Lady Musgrave for a week long holiday. They were so lovely and helped make our trip even more enjoyable. Would highly recomend Tony and Sandy to anyone looking for a fishing or reef trip off 1770! BEST HOLIDAY EVER!
Amazing day out on the reef with Tony and Sandy. This is one of those special tours you never forget. We felt like part of the family on the boat and had the flexibility to do what we wanted. If you want a personal tour to the best spot on lady Musgrave and some amazing fishing then this is the one.
Did a half day fishing combined with half day snorkeling. Everyone on the boat caught plenty of good fish and the snorkeling was great too. It's a smaller boat than some of the other operators so it wasn't crowded even in summer peak season, only 6 customers on board. Highly recommended.
Cannot recommend Tony and Sandy enough for anyone looking to go offshore from 1770. We faced a very difficult forecast period and Sandy was in constant communication helping us to best organise our holiday. With Tony's many years experience as a skipper were able to capitalise on a brief weather window, travelling happily with our dinghy in tow to Lady Musgrave for a wonderful stay. I can't wait for the next trip out with 1770 Creek2Reef!
Tony and Sandy are such helpful and lovely people, make you feel as comfortable as you can on your trip. Great knowledge and service, highly recommend!! Thanks again!
Great hospitality, took us to a pristine snorkel at the reef then fishing. They allowed us to do both trolling and bait fishing. The only problem was that the fish were too big. Despite losing a few giant fish we managed to land some nice coral trout, red emprorers and a black spotted cod plus a many others.
Tony and Sandy, thanks for an awesome day on the water. Great communication or organise the day and great work by Tony on the water. Cannot recommend highly enough.
