What a gem of a place, great family place especially the little ones. It’s a safe environment with gentle rolling waves when we were there. The bath area is netted and fronted by a spacious sandy beach. Facilities include deck chairs picnic tables and chairs, (cold?)showers, toilets, communal beach toys for the kids. I think I even saw a beach umbrella but there are some shady areas during mid morning on the beach. There are more shady spots along the grassy side near the entrance. free parking at street level and more at the boat ramp. Free entrance on weekdays when it is not staffed. Highly recommend this place. May I suggest we all pick up any rubbish on the beach we see, especially cigarette butts, bits of plastic wrappers, broken plastic toys etc embedded in the sand and put all the toys back. 🙏
It's OK. A short walk from street parking and we were lucky to get a good parking spot. If you want a good position on the beach then you have to get there early. Very limited shade areas behind the beach so if you have your own umbrella, or cabana, then bring it along. By early afternoon it was very crowded with a couple of large groups of small children from nearby preschools adding to the melee. There is a kiosk that sells coffee and other refreshments.
Beautiful baths but there is a bit too much sand for my liking, free if no lifeguard but costs money if there is! Too much shells in the pool for me!
Lovely river bath with a little sand beach, beautiful views of the city center as well as the usual facilities like bathrooms, showers, changing cabins and a little cafe. Entrance is $4.70 and it's open until 8pm in summer. Beware that the water is not clear and there are partly algae and sharp oysters on the ground. While I was there a girl cut open her foot.
Oh! Just another amazing hidden treasure of the Sydney North Shore! 😍 Not that easy to access if you are not driving, but no problems to park, entrance not expensive at all, super friendly staff, options to have a coffee and other basic drinks and snacks, never too crowded, perfect to relax after kayaking around the harbour. I do not know if it's always the case... but today the water temperature was just perfect! 🤩👍🏾
A lovely harbour beach where you can get a great view of the city and spend a relaxing day. It's great for the kids, with the area being fenced and netted off, as well as a heap of complimentary toys for them to play with. Also, the bottom is quite shallow for a distance, so non-swimmers can still have good fun. For the adults, there are a couple of lapping lanes further out and deck chairs with cushions to relax on. There is a cafe that serves drinks (including the all important coffee) and a selection of food. We had the fish and chips, banana bread, and a soy latte, which were all nice. Finally, but importantly, the shower facilities are clean and new.
Lovely little spot for a cheeky swim in the sea. Nice little beach area though not a huge amount of space. $4.30 entry is a bit much, shame they couldn't make money off the coffee and produce. However it is a high standard and the staff are friendly, also not too many options in the area.
Nice little beach, good for kids. Water was very warm and shaded parts on the sand along with deck chairs for use (if you can get one). Coffee was OK. Food was average, and pretty expensive for serving size.

BEST COFFEE OF MY LIFE. I seriously had the BEST iced oat vanilla latte. I think it's their vanilla flavour that is super tasty I can't get enough. I keep coming back because their service is so good, and their coffee is even better .
I get my coffee fix every morning at Unwined Cafe, and it’s always amazing! The coffee is top-notch, and the staff are super friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!
Massive shoutout to Luke, Sarah, and Phil—the true legends behind the beans! These guys keep Lane Cove buzzing harder than a guitar amp at band practice.
Very nice hole in the wall cafe with great service and good coffee. It has a nice cosy ‘local’ feel to it and is quiet enough to talk. Our eggs were perfect and the toast (including gluten free) was great. We did not see the upstairs seating but clearly it’s very popular with the local NSW Police - a great recommendation in itself.
My favourite place to get coffee in Lane Cove!!! Not only is the coffee delicious, but the cafe is unique too. Located opposite the post office, it may be the size of a PO Box, do not underestimate the quality! This cafe (to my knowledge) is the only cafe within the Lane Cove canopy/village area with extra large (510mL/16oz) coffee cups, which makes it my go to in the morning before a busy day at work. Not only is there an option for very large cups, but all the cups have unique designs on them, often featuring Australian flora and fauna! They even had Aussie themed Christmas cups last year, which bought me a little bit of festive cheer! The coffee is very reasonably priced too. An extra large mocha with alternative milk is $6.80, which is what you’d be paying for a standard large (300ish mL) coffee in Chatswood (if not more). The staff are very friendly and often make conversation with the regulars! My only complaint is that it closes at 12, so I can’t get a lunch time coffee there! 5/5 stars
Six stars for best and honest customer service! We ordered banana bread and when the lady brought it to us it was slightly burnt. The lady kindly asked if it is too burnt and will get us another one. This is all before I took a look at the bread and she genuinely care about customer satisfaction. Obviously she insisted the second one is free. This is so rare in the cafe industry now. The extra star is for the awesome coffee and banana bread!
Our local and we love this coffee, best in lane cove.
Really nice food and quick service. The cafe has a really nice feel inside too.

I actually came across this park by accident and now it’s my favourite place to take my dogs ! Really nice big open area and great bush walk as well
Today is our dog’s birthday, we took him to Blackman park. It’s a very good place to enjoy the weekend with your little puppy, spent time with your family or your friends. Blackman park is a well maintained park. It’s covered by all ages activities and you can explore around the park. Tennis, table tennis, basketball court, bushwalking, playground etc. lots of parking spots. Easy parking.
Blackman Park used to be a tip. Once my son was playing rugby there in 2005 and I kicked at a metal object in the ground and up came a manual meat grinder. I never liked the first artificial surface. My wife was a goalie and we had little rubber dots all through the laundry and even in the bed. My son played rugby on it and got shin splints, it's very hot and sometimes you get static electricity shocks from the plastic grass. Now they are pulling it up and relaying the surface in the middle of winter. Bob Cambell oval has been closed because it flooded and washed the playground away. Partially that was due to the construction on the golf course taking up the green spongy grass that soaked up some of the water. Add to that the overgrown privet and other weeds in the drain causing the flood coinciding with high tide. I have to ask the question Are lane Cove council setting up another never ending grounds rehabilitation project like North Sydney Pool
Blackman Park is my favourite local spot, there’s a great off‑leash area for dogs, a fun playground for kids and a lovely little café for coffee and snacks. The walking track winds through shady trees (just pop your dog back on leash once you leave the off‑leash zone). It’s clean, friendly and perfect for a relaxed outing with family or friends!
Amazing park with great football (soccer),table tennis, tennis, afl and basketball facilities as well as a quality outdoor gym and playground, two great dog parks and the grass on the oval is pool table quality. The lap is a perfect 1km with 0 total elevation hill so perfect for that pb attempt
Blackman Park is a combination of outdoor multi sport facilities synthetic and grass) as well as playgrounds, running/ bike paths, an enclosed dog park as well as natural bush areas which have bush walking trails which are easily accessible and not difficult to traverse. The Lane Cove River is located behind the dog park areas, but there is limited access. There is only one entrance into the complex by vehicle. On weekends, it can be difficult to get in or find parking if there's a sports event on due to the high volume of traffic. Off peak times, there are no issues with parking. There are two playgrounds to keep the kids occupied, sandstone animals, and 2 outdoor gym areas located along the running track. On weekends there is a canteen running to cater for sports. There is also the Puppy Tail Cafe situated in close proximity to the dog parks, which also sells dog treats. Accessibility to most areas via wheelchair or mobility aids is easy.
Nice short bush trails that lead to a large sports ground with a well-maintained dog park. Plenty of shaded areas and seats. Great for walks, runs, or just to have nice a picnic. Ample of car spaces too. All the dogs were friendly and my corgi had a good time.
Great range of facilities here - ovals, basketball hoop, playgrounds, skate park, dog play areas and can walk along the river tracks. Nice small cafe there too. Was plenty of parking when we went, but imagine it would be busy when games are on at the fields.

This afternoon was the launch of live music at Carisbrook House, and it was sold out! It was a fabulous cheese and wine event with entertainment by The Songs of Dire Straits. What an amazing say and highly recommend future events, especially if the same band play again. 5 stars!
A lovely look at the history of settlement along the rivers of Sydney. Devonshire tea hit the spot! Thanks to the friendly volunteers who keep places like this running with a smile 😀
What a beautiful House Museum! Our family visit here on Saturday Afternoon and enjoy their afternoon tea 🫖. When you look at these very ancient house you will get a lot of knowledge about the live style in Lane Cove area , I am very appreciative that they offer us to be the member and this Sunday Evening my wife and I will enjoy the Jazz Music 🎶 in here again. Very exciting and waiting the other amazing moment! 👏🏻🍾️😀
Sadly a very disappointing experience, or lack thereof I should say. I had planned to take my elderly grandmother here as she had always wanted to visit. I emailed with one of the staff via the email they have listed on their website in the week leading up to it, confirming they would be open. My has a lot of trouble leaving the house as she is very frail and it was a 40 minute drive to bring her here. We came all the way and she was so excited, just to find that they were closed. It did not list that it was closed online or anywhere. I did expect to possibly receive an email from the staff I had been speaking with via email to let me know they would actually be closed as I had been told otherwise, and had let them know that I would be attending, but I received no communication. This I would have been okay with, but when I called their phone number on arrival the woman I spoke to was very rude. I explained the situation and that they had not announced anywhere that they would be closed (must have been a last minute decision) and that I had travelled 40 minutes with my elderly grandmother to come visit. The woman did not care whatsoever, and seemed extremely bothered and irritated that I had called. No apology or anything. Extremely rude and annoyed tone. Completely ruined the day and we were so upset. If you had needed to close because of weather that is completely understandable, but you need to work on how you speak to potential customers/visitors and not be so rude to people.
Beautiful and well kept museum that recalls the Australian history and life in the 1880. It definitely worths a visit, just make sure about their schedule first due COVID-19. Make sure to check out for the Devonshire Tea.
Lovely historical house and gardens with informative tour and Devonshire Teas. Well worth a visit.
Loved it. The volunteers who meet & greet. Then the volunteers who prepare Devonshire tea. Then the volunteers take you on the tour of the house; not a Grand House but a middle class home which was deserted for many yrs & needed massive restoration and done so well. The knowledge that these ladies shared was brilliant. And ?Ted our carpark attendant. Such a team & such a house!
This lovely house will always rate 5 stars for me! I made another visit last Sunday with my social group and again was given the most amazing tour and information of the house and the people that have lived in it. The gardens are lovely and you can walk right down to the water and across to a park and oval area for a picnic if you want to. They also can organise a delicious morning tea for group tours which is very inexpensive plus they have quite a few events happening during the year, just check out their website. This was my second visit in 6 months and highly recommend it for anyone.

I had a wonderful experience at Araya Thai Lane Cove last week. I booked a 2-hour hot stone massage with Sunny, and she was absolutely amazing. Her expertise was evident throughout the session—she combined a soothing oil massage, hot stone therapy, and even some muscle stretching, leaving me feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. The little touches, like the jasmine tea served before and after my session, made the experience special. This was honestly one of the best massage experiences I’ve had in Sydney, and I can’t wait to visit again. Highly recommend!
Great relaxing vibe, clean, warm, nice calm music. Sunny my masseuse was amazing, I asked for a firm massage and that is what I got. She really worked on my tension and knots - knew what she was doing. Would definitely recommend booking a remedial massage with Sunny!
Araya Thai Massage is the best I've ever been too. My fiance and I go quite frequently but tonight was the best, a huge shoutout to the ladies that work there. We always request the couples room and we love the privacy and to be close to each other whilst getting a massage. They are awesome in getting rid of any pain I might have had going in. As soon as you walk in your warmly greeted and throughout the massage the atmosphere is relaxing and peaceful I love the music (like a violin version of popular songs) then the tea or water at the end is always delicious. The experience from start to finish is 10/10, if I could give more stars i would.
I recently had the pleasure of receiving a massage from Sunny, and it was truly exceptional! Her expertise in targeting specific pain areas, as instructed, was impressive. She employed advanced techniques that effectively alleviated my discomfort, leaving me feeling revitalized and relaxed. Before the massage, I was experiencing significant pain, but Sunny's skilled hands worked wonders. Her attention to detail and ability to tailor the massage to my needs were outstanding. I highly recommend Araya’s massage services to everyone. Their exceptional skills and dedication make them a standout therapist. Don't miss the opportunity to experience the bliss of their expert touch – it's a must-try!
Amazing hot stone massage, relaxing music and tea transporting me to Thailand. Expert therapists, always professional, clean and well priced. Highly recommend and will continue to return.
We had a couples massage, it was so nice and relaxing! The staff were lovely and we will definitely be back!
Excellent remedial massage and service! I have been having a sore lower back and had seen 2 Physio’s that helped a bit but not much. The remedial massage here was fantastic - they really know hot to isolate and treat a lower back injury. Highly recommended and heath fund rebated
I have been visiting Araya Thai for over 3 years now - pretty much every 6 weeks or so - for a remedial massage. Kudos to the management - throughout these years, masseuses have changed but Araya delivers a great experience 9/10 times. I can’t really remember having a bad massage here. All masseuses are very kind and accommodating of individual needs. Rooms/ tables are clean and linen/towels are always super fresh. In an industry facing workforce shortages like theirs, it’s a commendable feat. Well done Araya and keep up the good work. 👏

Had a lovely massage from Kate today. It was my first time there and everything was perfect. Left feeling super relaxed. Great value for the price. Will definitely visit again.
Friendly service, clean and pleasant environment, great massages for a good price. Can’t ask for much more. I have been here numerous times over the years and despite trying other local massage therapists. I prefer this one.
Very well shaped and professional yet relaxing environment- The treatment and remedial were both amazing and no word needed to pinpoint the healing spots. Thanks team and Eby for providing the good service. Thanks
The massages here are great! All the staff are super friendly, and the massages are always good. I especially had a very good massage from Noy today (5 April 2025). Thank you for always, I’ll be back soon again!
The service felt rushed, and the masseurs were unprofessional—constantly talking to each other, answering phone calls, and even leaving the room multiple times during the session. It was disruptive and far from relaxing. Definitely not worth it.
Everything was perfect~ Massage, atmosphere, therapists were amazing. My only suggestion, to add to the relaxing atmosphere, is to remove the ticking analog clocks in the rooms. The sounds were a bit distracting (maybe replace them with digital clocks?) Otherwise, will recommend this place to anyone~ :)
Wow .. felt like new born… best massage in sydney Nita and Noi were well experienced and know the right nodes and made the muscles relaxed ..place to visit if you are a massage lover
