Best golf course I’ve played so far. Very well maintained and awesome facilities. Spend 2 days played The Lost Farm and The dunes both course are spectacular. The Dunes cottage was very cosy and clean. Amazing experience.
Great golf course but very tough on a windy day. Very unforgiving if you stray off the fairway, so bring plenty of golf balls. Staff are all wonderful and incredibly helpful. Great day on a challenging course.
First time at this resort and it's been absolutely amazing. Courses are difficult but fun. Great facility's and well run . Would recommend any golfer to come and visit this fantastic place.
An amazing links golf course and golf destination. Beautiful location and in great condition. The haven several options for accommodation. Beautiful ocean two bedrooms villas, cottages or the lodge at Lost Farm. The Dunes was by far a much better golf course than Lost Farm. The greens on the later was really bad. The restaurant at Lost Farm was much nicer in all aspects than the Dunes.
3 great courses to play to suit all golfing levels and all types of golf from small groups, individuals or large groups out to have some fun. A must do for any golfers!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in one of the 4 bedroom 4 ensuite Bunker villas overlooking Barnbougle Dunes course and clubhouse. It’s very vompfortable with almost everything you need. There was no internet and no TV apps but once the wind dropped this view always all we needed. My highlight was Sammy the sea lion in the warm carpark for 2 days.
I’d describe it like your first love.. loath her and yet still wanting to see her again. Great course, even in 60km winds (not so good of a score). Staff at bar and proshop are fantastic. Can’t wait to come back.
Played Brand bougle blues and lost balls 17/18/11/2025. Blues better than balls. Very windy on blues. Even worse on balls. Groundstaff watering bunkers as well as strategly placed automatic sprinklers. I found the wind unbearable on balls. Wind blowing the buggy over on almost every hole. Golf was totally un enjoyeable. All for the princely sum of $179 or $9.9999 dollars per hole. Hat's off to the farmer for setting up Brand bougle though 20 years ago. Grand villas cottages lodges and even a private airstrip. Wow. But I came for the golf and yeah nah. It's a nah for me Had more fun at tam o Shanter golf club for $20 all day just 30 minutes down the road. That one doesn't have a private driveway though. It's run by volunteers. I have given an extra star for the staff at Brand Dougle. 1 star for the golf .

Phenomenal. We ate at Lost Farm numerous times over a long weekend and couldn't fault a thing. The service was excellent and genuinely friendly. All the dishes were delicious and the local wines expertly recommended to accompany them. The view speaks for itself looking out over the ocean and the golf course; people playing the 15th and 18th made for great entertainment. All three courses were so much fun, and the pros very accommodating. The rooms were large and comfortable, shuttle between Dunes and Lost farm was easy and quick. Highly recommend the entire resort.
We hosted a Porsche drive event day and selected Barnbougle’s restaurant as our lunch destination — and it truly exceeded expectations. From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel incredibly welcome and well looked after. The views alone were breathtaking, with panoramic scenery that perfectly showcased the beauty of Tasmania’s coastline. The food was next level — fresh, beautifully presented and packed with flavour. Every course felt thoughtfully prepared, and the service was faultless from start to finish. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our group, ensuring everything ran smoothly and on time. It was the perfect balance of relaxed atmosphere and refined dining — the ideal stop for an event like ours. Barnbougle delivered on every front, and we can’t recommend it highly enough.
April 23rd, I was visiting from Canada. Decided to try this so called, “lovely, high-class restaurant” that is Lost Farm. I was very disappointed with what I was given, not only in the food, but also the drinks and poor service. To start off, our drinks came late and confused with others. The food had little to no flavour, and personally the portions were relatively small. As well as, glasses and plates were not to the highest quality of cleanliness. While I can understand waiters may want to talk to their coworkers I’d suggest doing it in the staff room, kitchen or after hours. As communication may be strong with eachother on topics of personal matter, it was not a strong suit in work as our meals were mixed up/given to other tables, and another waiter came over after we were finished eating, plates cleared and all, asking if we got our meals yet. Hovering over the customers will only piss someone off more, which I could see from the neighbouring tables. The staff not only looked lost, but in comparison to the setting, they were very untidy in appearance. There was clearly no one competent enough in charge of the waiters and waitresses present. It was one of the worst experiences I have had in a restaurant. While Tasmania gave me good memories, this was a very poor/sad/disappointing/slightly disgusted one.
We just went to the lost farm restaurant. The food was very nice and the service was good. We were literally the only people there when we arrived, but the views are stunning. Food isn’t cheap and the quality of it was about on par or slightly below the price point, but we went for the views and they didn’t disappoint.
Barnbougle is Disneyland for golfers, and Lost Farm is the most fun I've had on a golf course. While the Dunes is the higher ranked course, for a mid handicap golfer Lost Farm was more enjoyable to play. Cannot recommend a pilgrimage strongly enough.
Amazing golf course with fabulous views. A challenging course but definitely one you should play. Well worth the trip.
Good restaurant, great golf course (much better suited for the high handicapper than the dunes IMO). Friendly older gentlemen in the pro shop.
Ultimately I came here to golf and I was deeply satisfied. The courses are super cool with challenging routing and my caddie at Dunes was a gem. The sheer amount of flies on the course were awful, I couldn't hit a single shot without at least a dozen swarming me. I also really liked my room, it's spacious and has a beautiful view of the ocean. The bed and couch were very comfortable. Free laundry machines were a welcome surprise as well. Food was mixed overall. My dinners were wonderful (the chocolate tart was to die for) but the breakfast is very basic for the price you pay. The pizza at the sports bar is absolutely terrible with a flagrantly small amount of sauce and cheese. Service at both restaurants were excellent as well.

Had a fantastic time with Mel our tour guide, fantastic way to spend an hour and a half! Great facilities and really lovely staff and dog (Winston)! Great fun indeed. Good variety of tracks. No need for a car licence, drinks provided. Doesn't matter if you have never ridden before, Mel will show you how. Sorry for being so naughty on the track Mel and thanks for being patient! Ps. We spent our 1 yr anniversary here and was worth it.
What a fantastic adventure! An absolute must, so much fun! Great tracks suitable for every one in the group, and all levels of experience. A stunning property with the best host and guide, so welcoming and friendly. We loved meeting Winston too. Cannot recommend this experience enough! We will definately be back! Thanks again Mel! X
Such wonderful hosts you are, Andrew and Mel. Totally professional and caring at the same time. We loved the bike experience! You have such beautiful green pastures and ponds! And thanks Mel for locating my son’s phone! You have indeed such great instincts!

Thanks Again Andrew from Sam and Alex!!!
Our family had an awesome time today with Andy and Mel. They were really friendly and welcoming, and great guides on the ride. My older boys and I got to cane it while my wife and younger boys (doubling with Andy and Mel) enjoying a slightly slower pace. Highly recommended! (as is the beach town of Bridport nearby for a swim after).
This has been a fantastic experience, from the time we arrived we received a genuinely warm & friendly greeting, safety brief & orientation and then we were good to go. The quadbikes are of good quality, the tracks are fantastic fun & well maintained, safe for all levels of experience providing plenty of challenges as well. This has been one of the best finds on our visits to Tasmania excellent value and we will definitely be back
Had the pleasure of meeting Andrew on the day, my husband and I took part in a 1 hour quad bike tour. The experience was absolutely brilliant, Andrew was a great host and guide, the tracks were so much fun and allowed you to go at your own pace. Peter and his team were amazing. They made use feel really comfortable on our flight out from Birdport to Flinders and then again on our way back. We had some dramas with our hire car and he was nice enough to lend us a vehicle so that we could get our flight back to Sydney. Who does that in this day and age? Legends. The lot of you. To all the team - thank you for making our experience to Flinders and our stay in Tasmania extra special.🙏 Wellison & Michelle
Fantastic service, great flights both ways. Highly recommend and would definitely use again.
Highly recommend, such a beautiful way to get to work and back home. All team members are professional, friendly and easy to dear with.
Chris and Luke were fantastic. They were very safety conscience and still made sure to get us to our spots on a very tight schedule. I would recommend this company for any logistic needs you have.
Many thanks to Peter and his crew. We were on a light aircraft flight from Sale, Victoria to Wynyard, Tasmania. The weather closed in on us, and we had to turn back and land at their airport. We were made to feel welcome and given a coffee and toilet stop. After a couple of hours or so, we were on our way again. Many thanks
Flinder Island Aviation were amazing!!! A lovely surprise the staff had organised awaited the birthday girl on arrival. For 3 of our passengers it was the first time on a small plane and James the pilot was so relaxed and the flight so smooth it put all at ease. Everything was so easy, the organisation and communication so simple. We loved every minute of it and would go again and again Thank you Flinders Island Aviation for a wonderful experience 🙏😊
Flinders Island Aviation were terrific. From day one we'd had problems contacting other airlines on the weekend but Peter was available, obliging and saved us money as well. The pilots Gerald and Lachlan were great and we were lucky enough to enjoy a detoured flight home over Cape Barren's wilderness and the Furneaux Islands to enjoy an amazing scenic return journey. Thanks Flinders Aviation.
Our recent trip to Flinders Island was navigated faultlessly by Peter and his team, from our early communication regarding our flights to our final flight home. Lachie was our pilot for both flights, he was polite and knowledgeable about the Furneaux Islands. The team were relaxed and flexible, a pleasure to deal with!

I truly waited to a little mermaid to come from the waves. What a lovely place. The longer i looked more alien it would seem. White sands goes to the ocean, gives you a clear welcome acces to the water. Definitely recommend to spend some time here.
We had a lovely day for a swim, the sun was shining and the waves were gentle. The following day was totally different but equally beautiful.
Natural beauty. Rocks with character, sweeping coastline and the largest sand dune in the distance. Very easy to walk there.
A must walk along the foreshore to Mermaid Beach. No signs at all so discovery required.
Great little beach to enjoy with thr kids. Looking in the pools of water and exploring
Pretty little swimming area, just a short walk from the old jetty parking area, just follow the track that leads out of the end of the unsealed parking area, it’s about 100m on the left
Awesome at high tide. Very beautiful, easy access. Fun to jump off the rocks
Wow a good little spot for a swim , but in winter maybe/maybe not. Picked up some lovely coloured rocks and there are some shells there too!
