Bennetts Beach is an absolute gem! The pristine sand, crystal-clear water, and stunning views make it the perfect spot to relax and unwind. Whether you’re up for a swim, a walk along the shore, or just soaking up the sun, this beach has it all. It’s well-maintained, peaceful, and a must-visit if you’re in the area. Truly one of the best beaches I’ve been to!
Beautiful long stretch of beach. Terrific Surf Club open for afternoon drinks and nibbles on the verandah.
Has everything you need for a beach day out. Great views, coffee van, parking showers and surf lifesaving club
I am sure it's a beautiful beach with fascinating ocean view under normal conditions. But hundreds of dead seabirds are lying around at the beach. Checking the news it is not clear why but there is a warning about a very deadly H5N1 influenza strain may arriving with migratory seabirds this year. As this is not only dangerous for birds but also dangerous for mammals I am wondering why the dead birds are not removed properly?
Beautiful spot. Wouldn't be ideal for young children to swim. It gets deep very quickly.
Bennetts beach is breathtaking!!! The sand is white and clean , no rubbish on the ground. The ocean is clean and clear and so fresh. When I sit on this beach I take in all the this beautiful creations and really just grateful I get to see this and actually be here.
Beautiful beach .certainly worth getting up early to watch the sunrise here . Managed to capture lovely photo of kookaburra too. Peaceful at dawn too
Beautiful beach. Long walks are perfect and the white sand just goes on and on. It is especially beautiful in the morning when these images were captured. Parking tip: We always find space one block back. Lots of shady parking spots!

"A Haven of Serenity: Jimmy's Beach, Hawks Nest, NSW" Jimmys Beach at Hawks Nest, NSW, holds a special place in our hearts—it never fails to leave us feeling rejuvenated. With each return visit, the allure of this beach only grows stronger. There's something magical about Jimmy's Beach, whether it's the enchanting sight of dolphins, invigorating swims, tranquil fishing spots, exhilarating kayaking adventures, or leisurely strolls along the shore. Witnessing the breathtaking sunrise on two out of four mornings was a true highlight of our experiences here. As you explore the southern end, you'll find the swell diminishing, creating the perfect conditions for even more water-based activities. Our love for Jimmy's Beach knows no bounds, and we eagerly anticipate our next visit to this blissful sanctuary."
One of the best beaches that I’ve been in NSW
Incredible sunrise. Do yourself a favour and check this place out.
Jimmy beach is a stunning spot for the family to enjoy all sorts of adventures from 4x4 driving on the beach to diving/snorkelling, fishing, swimming or just kicking back getting a tan, It offers great views overlooking the islands and Nelson bay while taking in the beautiful landscape, Sandy carparking, unfortunately rest facilities that I could see.
Fabulous beach for relaxing and walking along, definitely not a surf beach for sure, but great for spending quality family time looking back into the bay. You can also take 4WDs on this beach with an appropriate permit.
Fine white sand, clear water and lots of shallow protected from ocean waves, perfect for children and families to play in the water. We also saw dolphins passing by the day we visited!
GREAT spot for snorkelling and stand up paddle boarding. There's no waves really so really good for just chilling in the water!
One word, Amazing. Must see when you are here. Plenty of room for activities and the water was so clean and fresh

On 8. November we had a great morning kayaking tour with Kat and James. Kat, our guide, explained everything about the nature and wildlife of the Myall Lakes region and it was really interesting to listen to her. On our way we saw many pelicans, cormorants and even a dolphin mother with her baby from afar. Kat and James, you both are lovely people and we had a really great time with you two! You are doing a great job. Thank you so much again! Many Greetings from Sofie, Tina & Octavian from Black Forest, Germany 🇩🇪
Had a wonderful day. Hired a double Kayak with my wife & it was beautiful. Good equipment, helpful service & a very helpful pre-trip briefing. James and Katrina know the area and did everything to ensure we had a good, safe trip. A close encounter with a dolphin was a memorable highlight! Definitely something we will do again.
These guys are amazing people. The prices are reasonable and couple of hours is a good start. You can rent the kayak or sup out in hassle free ways. You will find them towards the shady end of Moira Park. It is a wonderful location to enjoy Myall River's true beauty by kayaking or by SUP. We went on Australia Day and were able to see the local ceremony before indulging ourselves into water activity. Don't forget the 5 S's of Sun Safety - Slip, Slop, Slap, Seek & Slide. Have a wonderful time there.
What an amazing and fun experience. We went kayaking with our three children (14, 12 and 8 yrs of age). The owners were lovely and were great with the kids, the little lesson we had beforehand was great. We even took our little dog along on the kayaks, stopped off on a few little beaches to have a swim. It was a great day. Thank you EZY KAYAKS for an awesome experience.
Excellent service. Full briefing on how to make the most of the kayaking experience including where to see the dolphins. We spent a sublime two hours exploring the mangroves and enjoying the lush greenery and gorgeous birds. On our way back, we spotted 2 big dolphins jumping and flipping so close to our kayak. Then we saw around 5 just under the Singing Bridge. One dolphin came about 10 metres from us. It was surreal. Excellent experience and a fantastic way to enjoy Hawks Nest Bay. Highly recommended.
This couple who runs this business is passionate about what they do. They made it easy for us right from instructing us to setting us up for the ride. They were kind towards kids and us whole group of eight concentrating on preparing us for a great start of the day. Clearly instructed us on where to go and where not to before allowing us on the Kayaks. It was 2 hours of incredible fun!!! Thank you guys!! Keep up the good work!!! We will definitely see you again!
Had a lovely time kayaking with Ezy Kayaks! Perfect location and weather. James was really friendly and gave helpful advice on how to kayak safely. Definitely the highlight of our trip to Hawks Nest!
EZY KAYAKS was great experience and I highly recommend it! James was so friendly and helpful, giving us tips on where to go, including where to see dolphins. The kayaking experience was a great fun and I'd do it again.

Dropped into the golf club bistro "Sandoh' s" on a very busy Friday night but service was reasonably quick and the food was delicious. Pictured is the Chilli Prawn Linguine and the Pan Fried Barramundi. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.
Beautiful course in excellent condition. Greens were very consistent and the bunkers were in good condition. An interesting layout, friendly staff in the pro shop and good facilities in the clubhouse made for an enjoyable day.
Went to the restaurant Sandos when it first opened and came back because it was so good! This time we tried the roast of the day and also got some other small sides. Another great meal! It's actually tasty food and made from scratch with real flavours and real sauces. No pre-made, bulk bought meals and beautifully cooked. I know why its crowded but it was worth the wait. Staff are super friendly and let you know up front how long the wait is. Great pizza at the new pizza bar that wasn't there last time we came. A few of our party had some pizza entrees while waiting. A great night. We will be back!
We held a birthday function in the outdoor space at the Golf Club. The new caterers did an amazing job. The food looked amazing, was very tasty and the whole experience was seamless. Fresh seafood, a really modern menu selection and nothing was too much trouble for the team. The kids area attached to the outdoor space is brilliant! Kids had as much fun as the adults. And the outlook over the golf course, just stunning. Highly recommend
Terrible experience! We visited as a group of 15 on a busy night. I placed my order early and was told there would be a 45-minute wait, which I was fine with. However, my meal never arrived. After following up, I was told that my order had been missed, and I’d need to wait another hour. I eventually received my food around 10 PM — two hours later than expected — which was especially difficult as we had young children under 6 with us. The owner offered a refund, but there was little acknowledgment of how inconvenient the situation was. The only positive was that they offered free desserts as a gesture of goodwill — though this only happened after someone in our group privately spoke with the owner. Would not recommend this place!
Tonight my wife and I ordered a snitty, chunky chips and seasonal vegetables. The vegetables were not cooked, hard crunchy carrots and hard crunchy broccoli and the few beans were the same. The menu said chunky chips but they gave me overcooked skinny French fries I’m assuming had been sitting in the warmer for ages, when I complained the said they had run out of the chunky ones, but miraculously were able to cook some for me after all. The snitty was dry as well. Only thing nice was the gravy. The worst snitty I’ve ever been served, really disappointing.
Pretty impressed with this golf course. Went there for the first time recently for their Summer Classic and played the course 5 times. They have use recycled water on the course and it really keeps the course in good shape. Fairways were great and the greens were very true and consistent, I'd guess they were running at 9 or 10 on the stimp. Lots of trees and the bunkers were deep with lots of fine sand but they were fair. Clubhouse is large and the Sun bistro served good quality Aussie Chinese/Thai. Highly recommend this golf club I will definitely be returning.
Easiest meal to cook is a Roast However wife and I had a Shocker Brussel sprout raw carrots raw no pumpkin one chat spud cut in half and 4 green beans absolutely cheesed off then tried to palm off half a scoup of ice cream as a dessert, had good meal there before but last night was terrible. It's not good for such a night advertised as Roast night.
