This dive centre is fantastic and I would recommend it to any diver Advanced or above. The diving is world class. The accommodation and meals are amazing and the owners and staff are fabulous.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Julia and Shane. A very well run operation and each day seemed to outdo the last with the dive sites and weather. Their advice and experience was superb and the liveaboard experience to the Poor Knights Island was spot on. A truly spectacular piece of the world made even more so with their help. Put it on your to do list and do it!
Myself and a party of 6 came up from Wellington to lodge with Northland Dive. The diving was phenomenal and only matched by the outstanding hospitality provided by Julia and Shane. The lodge was gorgeous, the diving was out of this world and their boats were world class. The two are also very knowledgeable about the area and have the insider scoop on all the epic dive sites! 10/10 will come back
Top dive charter in the Northland, great hard working team and support staff. thanks Shane, Julia, Darrell and the rest of the support staff, I really enjoyed the live aboard weekend away to the Poor Knights Islands, fantastic dive and amazing scenery. Thanks for opening my eyes to my backyard and how wonderful it is. Cheers.
Awesome dive trip. I did an overnight out to the Poor Knights. I decided to skip a dive or too as I was so cold (underestimated my ability to stay warm - most of my diving has been in the tropics), but was sooo nice just relaxing on the boat. Definitelyrecommend heading out with Northland Dive for a Poor Knights experience. Fantastic sea life too. The night dive searching for nudibranch is fabulous!! Catered for the fussy eater (I'm vegan) and the good was great.
Such a fantastic dive trip with Northland Dive. The liveaboard in the Poor Knights was amazing and then two wonderful dives on HMNZS Canterbury. Julia and Shane run a superb business and along with Liston, we had such a wonderful experience. Will be back in 2025 which is the best type of review! Shout out also for the amazing food throughout! 🦈😁🐟🛥️
I had an amazing five days diving with the Northland Dive team, with three days out at the Poor Knights. Highly recommend! They run a slick operation and there are heaps of great dive sites in the region.
The experience I had with Northland Dive would be right near the top of all my diving trips. They are second to none when it comes to looking after you. I spent 5 nights, 4 days diving with them, based at their lodge and exploring the Bay of Islands and the Canterbury wreck ( which I soon learned is there because of the work of owners, Shane and Julia). We also went out to the Poor Knights Islands for an overnight liveaboard and 7 more dives. The dives are all amazing. The food is great, and there is always plenty of it. Where else can you visit a scuttled frigate one day, then sleep onboard a boat in an enormous sea cave the next?
