Spent the entire day there! Great place to just breathe and take in all the wonders of the animal world. Very well set up and run by the happiest people on earth. Highly recommend everyone to visit. Incredible display of the Irwin families private collections. Roberts photography is amazing to see (and buy)! Fantastic day!
Lovely zoo, and very well maintained. Grounds are well looked after and lots of thought has been put into it's landscape and architecture. Staff are very friendly, amenities are clean. There is a shuttle bus between areas of the zoo but it is a nice walk around the place on flat terrain. Bring lots of water and wesr comfortable shoes to enjoy the day out. Various shows on throughout the day for entertainment and educational promotion. Plenty of parking.
I visited Australia Zoo last week, and it was an unforgettable experience that truly lived up to its reputation as one of Australia’s best wildlife attractions. The zoo is extremely well-maintained, spacious, and beautifully designed, offering visitors a perfect mix of education, entertainment, and close-up wildlife encounters. The highlight of my visit was the incredible variety of animals. From kangaroos and koalas to tigers, rhinos, crocodiles, birds, and so many others — every exhibit was clean, natural-looking, and cared for with genuine passion. The crocodile show at the Crocoseum was especially exciting and showcased the staff’s expertise and dedication to conservation. I also enjoyed feeding the kangaroos and watching the zookeepers interact lovingly with the animals. The staff throughout the zoo were friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. They were always ready to answer questions and guide visitors. The zoo’s focus on wildlife rescue and conservation gives the whole experience a meaningful purpose beyond just entertainment. Food options, rest areas, and family facilities were also excellent, making it comfortable to explore the zoo for the whole day. Overall, Australia Zoo is a must-visit destination for families, tourists, and animal lovers. I highly recommend it for a fun, educational, and inspiring day out.
Australia Zoo truly lives up to its reputation as a wildlife experience, blending spectacular animal encounters with a passionate and powerful message of conservation that honors Steve Irwin's legacy. It's an absolutely brilliant day out for the family, offering genuinely close-up views of iconic Australian and international animals. The zoo is expansive, requiring a full day if not a bit more to explore, and there is plenty to look at and do. Including engaging live shows / talks that are both educational and highly entertaining. The dedication to wildlife preservation is evident at every turn—from the exhibits to the staff's enthusiasm—making you feel like your ticket contributes directly to a worthy cause. Unfortunately, the day ended on a sour note that prevents a perfect 5-star rating, related entirely to the closing procedure. There was no clear announcement or warning about the zoo closing soon, which left us scrambling to reach the exit shuttle. A staff member was directing everyone onto the shuttle to return to the exit. When two members of our group fell slightly behind (less than a minute), the staff member refused to hold the shuttle for them, stating abruptly that "They will have to turn around and walk back." Given the sheer size of the grounds, forcing paying guests—especially families to split up and a young child —to undertake a significant walk due to a lack of notice and an unwillingness to wait moments for their companions is unacceptable and directly contradicts the friendly atmosphere cultivated throughout the rest of the day. While I hope this was an isolated incident of poor judgment from one individual, it was a disappointing final memory on our first visit. A world-class zoo and a must-visit for anyone in Queensland.
Amazing experience! Very huge park with professional staff and experienced people who take care of all the animals there. You have the feeling, that they know exactly what to do and that they treat the animals well. Relaxed atmosphere and a huge variation of different animals there. It’s not just a regular average Zoo. It’s a huge animal adventure park. It’s hard to explore everything in just one day.
What a wonderful zoo! I felt good about the care the animals received and how many were rescues. The zookeepers really seem to care. Feeding and petting free roaming kangaroos was sooo cool. And they only charge $3 for a good size bag of food for them. A very cool experience.
The zoo was huge, and it really felt like the animals were living in a natural environment rather than being confined to small cages — especially the giraffes, rhinos, and tigers. The food was also much better compared to other zoos or theme parks. There were plenty of shows, and the frequent shuttles made everything very convenient.
The zoo is beautiful. Everything from the enclosures, the garden, the animals, the Crocoseum and all the facilities are so well planned and maintained. We spent the whole day there and had great time. Parking is available and entry seamless.

This library overlooks a beautiful park with a pond full of birds, fish and water lilies. Great place if you need to sit and work or study for a long while and want to look at nature to distract yourself a bit. Very helpful and friendly staff. Relatively quiet. They sometimes have activities for toddlers and people with special needs, and some tables to play chess.
Soooo grateful for this awesome library and the story time and rhyme time programs. My son loves it :) Karen the facilitator is a beautiful person.
Been coming here all week to study for uni and it’s been great! Beautiful scenery, comfortable & organised. Sometimes a bit noisy with children depending on time of day
The smell of books , the support from staff to help you out; either on the computer or finding a book or DVD and having a JP there on Tuesday (check if this is still correct). They might even have: "A` la recherche du temps perdu" Or something a lot smaller: The little book of calm ,😌
Friendly staff, helpful. Love the puzzle set out. Clean. LOVED the Taylor Swift quote, really made my day.
The "Dear Reader" event based at Beerwah Library was a great part of the Horizon Festival. I have added a little snapshot from the workshop on Structure and Plot presented by author, Melanie Myers. Her workshop was so useful - I was writing down notes at a furious pace, despite having the opportunity to take photos of the PowerPoint slide.mnn There are some lovely places around the Library building that invite people to sit and read. The beautiful watercourse is visible from the Library through magnificent floor to ceiling windows. Stunning.
Always clean, lovely and helpful staff. Not a big library but good enough array of books to choose from.
Very nice place to get your laptop out for work. Fast, free WiFi and beautiful views of a small adjacent lake. Have to take 1 star off for the noisy bogans there who look like they should've been in school.
