If you call into the Croydon information centre they have a little theatre and film about the gold that was mined in the 18 hundreds then you can get for $5 two nights in there rv park just a kilometre away with showers and toilets great value then they have the town square of old buildings that you can wander through all the streets are lit at night and on Wednesday evening at 5pm the have a train that takes you west about 20 minutes to a place for dinner and back well worth the $53 dollars I paid for a single
The Visitor Centre reflects the entire Town’s presentation of its history and beautifully maintained heritage. We visited the lake, heritage precinct, cemetery, outdoor museum and more. The Shire and community have done a fantastic job of showcasing their past and present . The park at the Belmore lake is outstanding. This review is dedicated to the town in general. Excellent location.
An absolute must visit. Lovely lady. Very informative.
Wonderful. Great job ladies. Did the town tour (free) every Tuesday at 9.00 am. Well done. Learnt lots about history of the town. Lots to see. A credit to such a small population to maintain the history as they have.
Interesting place to visit to learn about the history of Croydon, with a very good in-house movie about Croydon and a good collection of historically significant things to view out the back, the ladies there were very helpful with local information.
Great historical buildings in a short walk from True Blue info centre which is now open 7 days a week. Court House is my favourite as you can listen to an original court case. Very funny.
there's free wifi, bathrooms, and some tables which we used to have dinner while the place was closed
