"It's a great spot for a weekend evening. The view is beautiful, with the sun seeming to sink into the sea and the refreshing waves bringing in fresh air. It would be a lovely time to spend with loved ones while enjoying a cup of coffee. 🌅🌊☕"
This is a beautiful geological formation similar to the Cathedral at Zion in the USA. The major difference where the place in Luanda is that the formations are next to the beach. Overall, a good experience.
Viewpoint of the Moon The Viewpoint of the Moon is a stunning natural lookout offering panoramic views that resemble the surface of the moon. Located in a rugged, rocky landscape, it s a perfect spot for photography, sunset watching, and appreciating the raw beauty of nature. A peaceful escape with an otherworldly atmosphere.
Amazing view. Picturesque scenes of rocks and ocean. Clean and dignified place. Available restroom. Small coffee shop and market of local souvenirs. Secure parking. Entrance AOA 1,000.
Amazing place in Angola. Beautiful nature, peace and unique energy and sunshine.
An incredible place, from the outcrops to each sample, simply a unique experience.
A fantastic view. It's a pity that you unfortunately don't come to the beach to see everything from below.
Crazy beautiful place. Awesome views. You pay an entry fee. 500 Kwanza for a car that seats 5 people. 1000 Kwanza for a car that sits up to 12 people. There's a small bar with cold drinks and snacks. Very well maintained benches and viewpoint. Stunning views of the rock formations and beach in the background. Highly recommend.

One of the best history lessons I’ve experienced. If you are in Luanda, this place is a must. Being able to walk the grounds, read historical documents and catch some amazing views made the visit worthwhile.
A must to understand the recent history of this very young country. Make sure you have somebody that can explain the story and you can understand the different conflicts.
Great place with great view of the city. Our guide was very kind and explain us a lot about Angola history!
A must visit if in Luanda with great views and nice exhibits, you feel like you’re walking through time. This is where the big Angola flag sits
Nice spot and view but only limited historical information
Interesting. Great views and a calm and safe place to walk around.
Interesting place to visit. It has this coministic feel to it. A bit of military gear, but most attractive is the view towards the city and slums on the other side. Be aware that you can only pay with local bank cards, otherwise cash. Absolutelly worth attention.
Old Portuguese fort with a nice view over the city displaying different types of weapons used in Angola and some civil war loot. There's also a restaurant one level down on the backside.

Worth a visit! Stay for sunset and - at least midweek - you'll most likely have the beach and all of the shipwrecks to yourself. Visited May 27, 2022.
I was on this beach in December 2023 and there is nothing left to see. Nothing remains of the shipwrecks. All of them were pulled ashore and the steel was used by the inhabitants of a nearby village or sold for scrap. The beach is full of small rowing boats and the last bits of scrap metal. There is no longer a trace of the ship graveyard :/
The shipwreck is no longer there.
All ships are gone, no ships available to see anymore, very disappointing.
(Translated by Google) Because it is so unique, it is definitely worth a visit! The beach is quite dirty, except for the small resort that exists (and is not signposted from the trail) where you can enjoy a clean beach with some support. You can take a long walk along the beach to see the dozens of abandoned ships there.
(Translated by Google) The ship graveyard was a beach where the attraction was a series of abandoned ships in the surf zone, practically on the sand. Today, these ships have been dismantled and cut up, leaving only small remains, so it no longer represents any attraction. However, the beach is long and the sand vast. It's almost always deserted, so for those who enjoy peace and freedom, there's a beach here. No entanto, a praia é londa e o areal vasto. É uma praia quase sempre deserta, daí para quem gosta de sossego e de liberdade tem aqui uma praia

Not sure how to rate this place as anything other than a museum because the content and material is so shameful.
The museum is kept clean. There is a guide on site who offers free tours. Parking is free as well.
This is a museum that is well done on such a horrific topic. We learn about how slaves were processed, managed, and competed for amongst slave sellers. Overall, a good experience.
One of the place of interest in Luanda. A bit outskirt from the city. The area had stalls selling Angola handcrafted products.
Almost a tiny museum. I mean there is not much here to show you the impact of slavery. A better effort should have been made to have a bigger impact. I like the idea but the execution is rather poor.
A small but very well laid out museum. Do bring a guide if you do not speak Portuguese. There are no translations to any other language on most tags to artefacts.
Perfect for tourism. The history was very well displayed. Colorful. Very well detailed. I would suggest to imclude English and Portuguese tour guides. Overall: It was a great experience. Spectacular place! Memorable! Empowering !
The tour guide was helpful. He tried to make us understand what he was say saying. It was a good tour

Slide 1 of 8
INCREDIBLE CALANDULA FALLS Some say it’s the journey that matters not the destination. But traveling to see Calandula waterfalls is mixed. What we thought was a 5.5 hour & 370km journey from Luanda took actually 7 hours. Be warned that 60% of the roads don’t exist with a mix of dirt roads, detours, numerous pot holes and damaged section of roads. If you visit the dry season, then be prepared for the dust and dirt and if its wet season, then most sections will be waterlogged and bog. If going for a day trip start by 4:30am from Luanda and return from falls by max. 2:30pm. With darkness driving back becomes perilous. Ensure you have a good car with good ground clearance. Now for the good side, traveling by road can bring you closer to the rural side of Angola. We could not help but admire for their hardiness and the will to survive despite the toughest conditions. It is beautiful for those who can appreciate it. At the falls point, we hired two guides ( just to support local content) and went to base of the falls. This trek is not for all. The climb down to the base and slight climb up is through forest, swamp, slippery tree wines, rocks etc with no dedicated pathway. Going there during wet season when river is in spate is not advisable. But the guides are amazing they will definitely take good care of you. Don’t have to pre-book them. We paid 15,000 Kwanzas for two of them and then tipped them as they were truly reliable. Going down alone is not advisable as you can get lost since there are no path marks. Once down the falls are incredible and beyond what words and pictures could portray. There are two view points on top as well. Plan the trip on a sunny day to enjoy this place as light brings out the colors & butterflies & birds. For nature and photography enthusiasts, this is the real destination with dozens of birds, butterflies, dragon flies & reptile sightings. You don’t have to go to the Posada Hotel opposite to enjoy the view. HAVE A SAFE TRIP
A must visit spot. Absolutely worth the rough road to get there. It was peaceful and quite with hardly any other visitors during our stay. The staff were friendly and the scenery stunning.
Magical waterfalls and a must visit when touristing in Angola. Suggest you take a guide (plenty of young boys in yellow jerseys waiting for you - approx aoa5-10k per person, they are very friendly) to go to bottom of waterfalls. At times steep but only 15mins or so downhill. Depending on time of the year can go to almost right next to waterfalls - during rainy season this is not possible (can still go down but expect your feet to be wet!).
Wonderful and unique experience on Calandula water falls. I took my family and we had Paulo, Francisco and Joaquim as our guide doing excellent job. Big shout-out to Pedro who provided provided all the advice and selected the guides!!! We went down to the water falls, very challenging descending, slippery surface, but it's all part of the challenge. We were very grateful for the safety and support provided by the guide. We took many pictures, then we crossed the river and moved to the other side climbed up and crossed the top side of the river (just before the water fall). This was an amazing experience, and having Paulo, Francisco and Joaquim to guide us was awesome 👌. I fully recommend this experience!!!
We had a wonderful 4-day tour with Marta Tours and Trips. From start to finish, the experience was seamless and truly memorable. Our journey began with a guided city tour around the capital, where we visited key landmarks and got a great introduction to Angolan culture and history. The following day, we traveled to the breathtaking Kalandula Falls, where we stayed for two nights and enjoyed a variety of activities in the area. Marta was highly professional, responsive, and committed to accommodatie all our requests and ensure everything ran smoothly. Thanks to Marta and her drivers and supporting guides who made our time in Angola unforgettable.
None of the guides I interacted with spoke English so I'd be useful to bring a Portuguese speaking friend if you don't speak it yourself.
It’s a fantastic place, breathtaking. Please take into account that the road to get there has many stretches in bad condition with (deep) potholes. You’ll also get stopped by police, so make sure that your hire car has all the paperwork not expired. Make sure to have a reflective vest because the police will ask for it
This natural beauty here is absolutely breathtaking! The views are stunning, with unbelievable landscapes that make you feel completely connected to nature, taking photographs, or just enjoying the peace and quiet, this place is perfect. The air is fresh, and the surrounding greenery. You can see and hear the sound of the fall of the waters. truly a magical experience.

Really Heaven ! Must Visit if you are in Lubango. Serra da Leba is a breathtaking mountain peak in Angola that truly takes your breath away, both figuratively and literally. Standing at an elevation of 1,845 meters, this majestic natural wonder offers a panoramic view that is nothing short of awe-inspiring. The winding road that leads to the summit is an adventure in itself, with hairpin turns and steep inclines that make the journey exhilarating. As you ascend, the landscape transforms from lush greenery to rocky terrain, offering a diverse visual experience. Upon reaching the summit, you are rewarded with a vista that defies description. The Serra da Leba viewpoint provides a bird's-eye view of the stunning Tundavala Gap, a geological marvel carved by Mother Nature herself. The vast chasm seems to stretch endlessly, creating an optical illusion that you are floating above the clouds. The best time to visit is during sunrise or sunset when the colors of the sky paint the landscape with hues of orange, pink, and purple. It's a photographer's dream, and even amateur photographers will capture stunning shots effortlessly. However, it's important to note that the altitude can make the air thinner, so visitors should take it easy to avoid altitude sickness. Also, the weather can be unpredictable, so dressing in layers is advisable. In conclusion, Serra da Leba is a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts, adventure seekers, and anyone who appreciates the beauty of the natural world. Its dramatic vistas, challenging journey, and captivating views make it a truly unforgettable experience.
Absolutely Breathtaking! The Serra da Leba Pass in Angola is truly a marvel of engineering and natural beauty. Descending this iconic pass with its dramatic 4,833 switchbacks is an unforgettable experience. The panoramic views of the surrounding landscape are simply breathtaking, offering an unmatched perspective of Angola’s rugged beauty. The road is well-maintained, making it safe for both drivers and riders to enjoy the journey. It’s the kind of place that makes you stop often just to soak in the scenery and take photos. This is a must-visit for anyone exploring Angola—an adventure that stays with you long after you leave! Highly recommend planning your trip to ensure you have enough time to enjoy this spectacular destination.
Beautiful. Loved seeing it from the top view. Historical landmark. Beautiful roads. Very careful while driving during the day and night. Some light posts could be implemented along the roads for safety.
Astoundingly beautiful - both the winding road up from the plains, and the waterfall that crashes back down. See it during the sunset if you can - the view is one-of-a-kind.
Take the side road at the top to the restaurant for the best view. Either going down or up be cautious of the tight turns and trucks that go both ways rapidly! A few pots holes to watch out for also.
Amazing road to ride on a motorcycle. A true masterpiece of road construction.
A must see place stunning view & beautiful landscape.

Is an small place with part of nature from Angola. Is interesting visit the site. If you come with a wheelchair you must be helping for downstairs and upstairs inside the local you don't need the help. There is not air conditioning.
Interesting history of Angolan wildlife. I had the whole museum to myself when I visited lol
Sadly the museum is closed from January 2025 until now,i and a group of girls visited the 28th July 2025 and the lady said they have been closed and that it is not open, just wanted to write this for anyone who has planned to come here...to prevent dissapointment
I wanted to visit today, but it's closed even though it says it's open on the internet. The outside is completely neglected and it looks sad. I asked a lady behind the gate when it will open again and she simply emphasised that it will be closed for a long time. I hope it will be fixed and opened again soon.
Antiquated taxidermy extravaganza. Has to be seen to be believed. Absolutely loved it
Good but no one to show and explain things about the museum to us
Pay 100 AKz/ person. First floor not really amazing but the 2nd floor was amazing. It's diorama museum.
I've been there with my 5 year old son, and we really enjoyed the show. There is a part dedicated to aquatic life and another one for land animals living in Angola. Each animal has a corresponding card with its natural specificities of diet and way of living. The collection of animals is quite, from squeletons to complete animals. There is also a collection of rocks and a special part dedicated to the Palanca Negra. Just go if you are not afraid of taxidermia...

Massive park with tourist lodgings that has reintroduced wildlife such as elephants & giraffes.

Wonderful place to see many animals, the service is good and staff helpful. To stay overnight there are comfortable huts
The drive from Luanda to the Park is educational into the struggle of common Angolans. The park is flat and dusty and animals are doing there own thing and not there for us so we didn't' see a lot until we spotted some Zebras. We went in a private car and then got stopped at one of the many military check points and was given an armed soldier to be our guide and protection against poachers. Poachers are still burning vast tracks of land to get clear shots at the fleeing animals. Angolan corruption and desperation by the people lead to crime.
National park of Angola where you can go on safaris. It's not that well developed for tourists yet though. To preserve the wildlife, remember to keep the speed limit to avoid hurting wild animals and take your trash back home with you.
Worth the visit - Gazelles/ Giraffes / Zebras / monkeys, other animals & elephants if you are lucky.. Time: For good possibility of viewing more animals need to arrive at park location quite early - say 7-8 am. If summer time animals seem to hide more middle of day to avoid heat. Location: is around 2 hrs from Talatona (including around 45mins of 30-40 kms in a bumpy road from main park entrance until the safari camp) Fees: are quite good - park entrance fee per person - 1K Kwanzas per person under 17 yrs old & 2.5K Kwanzas over... Another fee is 4K Kwanzas per person if you are taking the park's safari car. (Check pics of fees attached) Practicalities: Park's SAFARI Car is uncomfortable with some metal part on the seat. With the bumpy ride - might be good if you can have some padded pillow/towel to sit on. The seats at the side of the safari car are fun but take care of getting scratched by trees & plants during the ride.. ENJOY....
Very interesting. It is not far from the city and it is worthy to visit BUT please come early in the morning (from 6:30 to 8:30) is the optimum to see all the animals. I started after 9:00 AM and I could see almost everything except the elephants. Even while driving to the reception, you start seeing animals crossing the road... Very Nice! Be prepared to pay (as a tourist) 2500 Kz at the main gate and 4000 for the safari itself in the park's rangers trucks. You could also have breakfast first or afterwards in the restaurant or Lunch... They also get accomodations to sleep over there (200 $ per night). It's a pitty, the authorities does not communicate too much around this precious natural site.
Nice place to go for the day or to stay overnight. Cabins are ok. Nothing special but well worth for a special night away.
Not too many animals, but we did see a family of elephants and some giraffes — still worth the visit if you're in Luanda!
A tragedy of a national park.. very few animals, and about 100,000 humans living inside the protected area… during covid pandemic, the 60+ giraffe population was decimated to 0.. they’ve had to import 3 new giraffes and restart the population. Frankly this place needs 2 days of safari to see anything, and the high human presence around the park meaning poaching will probably keep the animal populations very low (unlike the hubs of life visible in south Kenya and Tanzania) There are far more fertile and isolated parts of Angolan Wilderness that need protecting. This was a great idea during colonial times, when the population of Luanda was sub-1million. It’s now difficult to fathom how long this can continue to be called a “National Park” with any credibility

Very good museum. I really like the architecture of this museum. From the outside it looks like a shiny monument, but once you walk next to it there are steps leading down into the museum. The museum was clean and very well organized. Most of the exhibits are very informative. There’s a very cool exhibit that allows you to pick up a gold bar, but you have to insert your hands into the two security holes. There were 3 or 4 school bus trips when I visited the museum and the museum staff appeared to have the groups well organized.
Interesting to see the history of the currency. Also the bar of gold and the foreign currency was nice.
I loved to go back in time and learn about Angolan's previous money currency. Simple access. Respectful staff. I also noticed that a lot of schools/teachers take their pupils to the museum.
Great museum… but very small permanent exhibition.
Very nice exhibition. Mega story about Angolan money.
Relatively small, but very modern and nice museum.
Very nice view near the bay ,, Welcome "Miami of Africa"
This space is very nice for a meeting, forum, or other activity that has someone to present.

Historical landmark in Luanda. Church is colonial, simple but very pretty. Was open all day when I visited. Not a long stop but definitely enjoyable.

Insane church built over 400years ago. Plays an important role in the lives of locals and street children, but is also a major tourist point given it’s long history.
Lovely place. With access to wheelchair. For parking need yo be 1 block before. Central location

Very good amusement park! can enjoy with family and friends, very cooperative staff, feel comfortable
This is an amazing amusement park. It's unique in Luanda with such dimensions and features. Really nice atmosphere, and an inviting environment. I loved the greenery of the place. Friendly staff committed to safety. Security is guaranteed, and there's available paid parking (100 Kzs per hour). Ulengo is now being brought back to life after a few years of mismanagement. The prices are now more affordable. It's suitable for the whole family, including small children.
This is a good place that could have really be great with some creativity and unselfishness. The centre management should bring some popular events to the centre to atract people, the centre should not also not be selfish in occupying all the space in the centre for themselves, they should rather rent it out to well known supermarkets and restaurants etc
The place was fine, but felt really old and mantained, but overall the place was good and fun for the family.
Great however it looks so disserted and perhaps they are not doing a lot of advertising these days.
Good parking space
Awesome attraction for all ages.
Nice place for family and kids
