When it rained our last day, it was the ideal place to hunker down with a book and some reading. During our stay only 3 of the 8 rooms were in use, and we rarely saw anyone else on the property. It was immaculately clean, beds were comfortable, bathtub massive, fireplace easy to use. And obviously the TWO morning breakfasts were divine. Cons: Yes, it is an old house so you hear the occasional voice and floor creaking from other people. We went into October and even though we couldn’t open the windows or control the heat/AC, we were comfortable and didn’t need to use the fans provided in the closet. We were provided the option for a free upgrade to room 8 where no other guests were staying nearby and had its own heating/cooling. Looks they do this when they can. Unfortunately I was unable to use the stairs. Suggestions: 2nd breakfast at 945 was a little late as someone who likes to get up and out early. If we would come back would maybe ask for an earlier start. Would love to see an afternoon tea or happy hour to make it more social among guests Book. It’s a great place.
