Memorial park playground is awesome for kids. So this place definitely exceeded my expectations, absolutely beautiful, but prepare for it for sure. Aster was blooming and that was amazing!

We paid and did the self tour & could see other parties with guides. I stepped back out to see if we could get a guide and were told no one was available. We have ordered him whip cream & sprinkles DOZENS of times AT KILWINS in BR without any issue. Willingly & GLADLY paying the full/regular price of a cup of ice cream ($6.75) so that he is able to be included. Yesterday, we were told we could NOT order whip cream and sprinkles. When we asked the manager his reasoning as to why (when we have ordered it there many times before with no issue) his response with a straight face was: “we are a franchise, and we do not offer that product.”, “whoever gave it to you before was not supposed to.”. We calmly went on to explain our situation as a special needs family and asked for the small accommodation and were belittled & denied again (in front of other customers). But a couple of things were off putting the first night. Second was when we asked if we could take two wine glasses to our room to go with the bottle of wine we had not finished, room was above restaurant, we were told no and were offered plastic cups, and that would had been fine but the explanation was an off putting tale that letting one couple would soon lead to 40 glasses missing. He didn't mean it but the interpretation was we would steal the glasses. When I stay at a resort at this price point and am paying for a special dinner this isn't what I expected. Second night was a totally different experience. Instead of dining room we ate in the bar area. Bartender was absolutely delightful. Had the burger which was excellent and the hot ham and havarti sandwich was spectacular. Loved the fries. So we would go again to eat bar food but skip the dining room until they get more settled in with new management and chef. I completely understand start of season new staff training just wish a couple of things had been handled differently the first night. The female server that first night did a great job

All great when traveling with dogs and needing to have take out when weather doesn’t permit patio dining. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows. Room also has a sound machine which is a nice touch. Sadly, the space just didn’t feel clean. In the sitting room, throw blanket, sofa and throw pillows were stained and smelled as though they had never been cleaned. Throw rug in the living room was filthy. Sites are close however with the trees you have privacy. Fire pits and picnic tables. Showers are only in one loop. Tent loop D. Pets welcome with leashes. Not that I had any. The only trash dumpster is at check in.
