Two of the guys got burgers, and had no complaints. They had wings as a starter too. Overall, a brilliant place. Very stylish, but still keeping the "bar" theme. I hate to leave negative reviews, I want to emphasise that the pub, the drink choices, the general atmosphere and the front of house staff were fine/good, but this review is focused on the food and it just wasn't enjoyable at all, I regret eating here. I can see many 5* reviews (hence why we went there) but I cannot understand why, for the Roast at least. Go to this pub for food at your own risk. The food was edible but just didn't hit the spot!

One particular night some time around 16th October, a large group of us arrived early so that we could get a table. The family of the landlords walked in and loudly said “they’re at OUR table”. Sadly on this occasion that staff, who suggested they were short-staffed, struggled to cope. It wasn't packed but they weren't able to get drinks to the table in 15 mins which was just not great - especially not *every* time. Food was a little slow but delicious as always. The waitresses were friendly but just couldn't manage to get things to us in good time. Something was missing from one meal so they kindly brought it out in a small bowl but then promptly charged us for it on the bill. We had to pay at the till rather than the table but only one member of staff could process it as it required a manager to remove the mistake. Bit disappointing all-in-all on this occasion.
