A lady at the entrance greeted us and gave us all a free map, which I found very helpful. The garden is extensive, with well maintained tarmac and gravel paths, and a few hilly parts and steps, but most of it is wheelchair accessible, and you can hire a wheelchair or scooter at the entrance. Harlow Carr is a delight to explore, with colourful flower borders, a streamside walk, sandstone rock garden, lily ponds, a small lake, wildflower meadows, an arboretum, and much more. It all looked beautifully kept, the plants clearly labelled. I particularly loved strolling through woodland filled with lovely rhododendrons, azaleas, and other flowering shrubs, and relaxing on a swing bench among palms and exotic plants in the subtropical garden. There are plenty of wooden benches and shelters, picnic areas, toilets at the entrance and dotted around the garden, and a children's adventure playground and tree house in the woods. Three cafes, a garden centre and two gift shops. Betty's Tea House is the ideal place to chill: great view of the garden, and a good selection of drinks, cakes and sandwiches. The coffee was very good. Did not get to see all the gardens (you need at least three hours), but I thoroughly enjoyed wandering around them and getting close to nature. Will definitely come again!

To come home and find that my feet are just as dry after the treatment as they were prior to the treatment and that the nail colouring has no shine to it after paying £67 is really really disappointing particularly as I would have expected a 5* treatment at that price and at a spa such as Rudding Park. On arrival it was quiet but expected as they had not been open long. The atmosphere felt a bit lacking but we sat down and were greeted warmly by the waitress. The menu is vast and obviously mostly fish but all very tempting. We were four people, so two went for Prawn Cocktail and one went for Lobster soup and I had Scallops all excellent. Main courses didn’t disappoint two time fish pie with some vegetable sides all piping hot, I went for Cod as did my friend we also went for some new potatoes (Very Good) The cod was outstanding, cooked to perfection with a beautifully subtle garnish and dressing, a really generous portion too 10/10 for that dish. This review isn't for the believers, there's nothing I could say that add to the whole experience. This is for the open minded sceptics. I am the latter. Firstly, it was an incredible night even without "evidence" the atmosphere alone will have you smiling throughout. I was lucky enough to be in Paul's group and not only is he an incredible host and story teller, he is more than happy to debunk anything and everything before the spookiness of it all gets too much! Electric wires are checked and equipment malfunctions are checked. Nothing is guaranteed on the tour, that was made clear and indeed, in one room nothing did happen, apart from maybe getting creeper out by a "cute" bear. However, a few things did happen that in the cold light of day is still hard to figure out, from questions answered via a rem pod through to scratching feelings and being "touched" on my shoulders (an orb floating by my shoulder at the time I shivered, bearing in mind it was a dustless room). All in all I'd say I'm not a hard believer now, but I am edging a little closer since last night. Could not recommend more, go and see, experience and use the equipment yourself. I doubt you'll be disappointed. 10/10
