I had a bowl of the soup of the day (Creamy potato) and my friend had Red Curry Coconut Hummus that came with fresh carrots, celery and cucumber slices. I'm not a fan of Hummus, but this was delicious. So if you're on the fence about visiting a "boring" art museum, just go. I promise you won't be disappointed. AND... it's FREE! What a beautiful way to spend the day.

It's also a generally very quiet building which offered a much needed sensory break. You can't bring food or water inside for the safety of the art and I did not know this. A worker offered to keep my water bottle at the front desk so we didn't have to go back to the car to drop it off which was VERY helpful. 💜 Also a thank you to that worker for not judging my Dad's joke. My Dad has a TBI and sometimes misses societal boundaries but the worker didn't judge. The multi stall bathrooms are not chair accessible but I imagine that the single person family restrooms are. The elevator is MASSIVE and has a few chairs in it to watch a presentation on a TV screen in it. There are places with darker lighting in them that preserve the art but also offered me a place to rest my eyes as they strain easily in bright light. The entrance is also very accessible and I felt so seen and thought about. Even the choice of solid polished floors for an easier time pushing my chair without getting stuck on other types of flooring was amazing. It was an all around great experience and my family and I will be going to the other art building sometime soon to experience more. We will also likely revisit this building. 💜💜💜
