However that is just the start... The reason we came here is because our friends told us about the pop-up food menu that they have on Wednesdays and Thursdays. OMG! The food was indescribable, beautifully presented, delicious and totally unique. You have to check this out! We were a group of 4 and we ordered one of everything on the menu sans dessert. The two artisans crafting the dishes behind the bar took their time lovingly putting together each order so that it was perfect. If you are a foodie...you must check this place out. From the Crudo to the Lamb, from the Carrots to the Fried Rice, it all was fantastic. For dessert we had the Tart and the Pistachio Tres Leches. Our massage was good and the facility was nice but unfortunately they had no working saunas, so we were slightly disappointed about that. Feels very private and quiet. Rooms are a little run-down, however, and the bathrooms are poorly lit and could use a big renovation beyond just superficial cosmetic upgrades. There's a nice pool for families but no hot tub that kids can use. Very nice service from the staff. Room service and poolside food delivery were very fast. Food was good.

(Originale) Just returned from a visit to the Viceroy PS and sadly must agree that the entire property is in need of some TLC. I am sure when it was remodeled by Kelly Wearstler a number of years ago it was much prettier. Decor in our Dorrington Villa was overall very tired and a bit too sparse. The sofa which was very uncomfortable was also heavily soiled. Not acceptable for such a caliber of hotel. Kitchen was not as spic & span as I would expect nor was our sitting room rug freshly vacuumed before our arrival. On a high note the pools were clean and well maintained. Staff was wonderful and overall great service by all we encountered.

(Originale) I would like to file a formal complaint in regards to my stay at the Viceroy Hotel in Palm Springs in room 327. To put it simply the room was horrible. I will never stay at one of their hotels again. The room was 12x12 moldy smelling box and had a disgustingly filthy bathroom floor. The carpet in the room was rotting and the furniture had rips and tattered. I complained twice to the front desk the first day after I went in the room. I was assured that the manager would take care of the issue the next day. I was told the hotel was completely booked so no accommodations could be made that day. The room was so moldy smelling I had to leave open an unscreened window. Unfortunately, the hotel had a birthday party going on the lawn outside my room complete with a band approximately 15 feet from the window. The Band stopped shortly after 10pm however the clean up lasted until past midnight. When I complained the next day the manager comped me a breakfast and assured me he would take care of the issue. My room was never changed and I had no choice but to stay in the moldy disgusting room again. I had a headache from staying in the room for almost a week. I do not feel your site should recommend this hotel to any of your customers in the future do to the shabby treatment I endured.

ROOM SERVICE After multiple attempts to reach room service finally the phone was answered by a young man who didn't know if room service was being served and had no idea what was on their menu or even if he could take an order. I had no idea why he even bothered answering the phone. Needless to say we wine dined out. ROOM CHARGES To add insult to injury my credit card was charged twice for the room stay, an issue that took quite some time to resolve. We left our reservation early and flew to the Mandarin Oriental in Las Vegas. The stay there was as always, amazing. I travel often and frequently and have directed my travel department to remove Viceroy from it's approved vendor list both in the US and Abroad for client stays and conference bookings as I am appalled at the level to which the service has sunk. In Dubai we now always meet clients at the Burj which is service above anything one receives outside of Asia, and from which the Viceroy could learn quite a lot.

Each time I've been here, the level of service as well as the appearance of the grounds have been consistently great. Having stayed at a number of Viceroy properties worldwide, I can see that they certainly hold true to their reputation. I look forward to many more visits.
