Ate here on Christmas night with some of my family (a party of 6) and it was incredibly busy. While we did have to wait a bit for our food (a party of 17 came in and we could hear several DoorDash orders arriving while we sat), our server attended to us calmly and kept his cool. My food was good and the broccoli was the perfect amount of firmness. Several people came in and complained about the wait and the restaurant staff maintained their calm and courteous demeanor despite it all.
A thing to note is that we ordered water, soda, and lemonade — the lemonade came in a cup with ice, two of the sodas were canned, one was bottled, and all the water was bottled. Since this was my first time eating there, I’m not sure that is the usual practice. But you might check the price if you’re someone who orders water at restaurants to save money.
Overall a good experience, and I would return to try it under calmer circumstances.

This was the third Chinese restaurant we have tried in Montgomery and it’s by far the best. Happy to have found a consistently good favorite. We have really liked everything we have tried so far. Wonton soup, hot and sour soup, best wontons, lo-mein chicken and shrimp, generals and sesame chicken, fried dumplings, spring rolls, everything has been so good. We have been back now several times.

This place is EXCELLENT for what it is: it's a standard (but yet not standard - definitely above standar) Chinese takeout place. You can eat in also, and I have. But it's mostly takeout. The portions are very generous for the price. And the quality is a solid notch above most places. There are a couple other Chinese places in town I like also. But, for bang for my buck, this place is absolutely top notch. I've been coming here for years, and eat here at least once a week on average. I've literally never had a bad meal here. Easy to order and pick up, also. I just call them, tell them what I want - they say, OK - Ten minutes. And, in ten minutes, I arrive, and it's either ready, or almost ready. Very well run place, and again - above-average quality and portions for the price. An exceedingly good value.

Haven’t been here in awhile and was pleasantly surprised. They are serving crab legs on the weekends. 😀 Not sure what changed but the food has much better taste than before. Either way, very enjoyable and ready for a nap!😀😴

Amazing! Clean! (both by look and smell). Plenty of food, as the kitchen was absolutely cranking it out. The sushi and sashime were to die for, and our server was absolutely awesome! We never once had to ask for anything, she was very attentive to both myself and my wife, all while serving other patrons. I have had this restaurant on my to-do list for awhile and I finally made it ..
Once inside I loved the entrance decor it was great .. the service was excellent ..the waitresses were very attentive to the customers.. and removed finished plates in a timely manner. The items offered were excellent I loved the food and saw the kitchen staff attend the buffet bar for food replacement a clean up of spills.. so the food bar was on point as were the temp of items offered. The dining area and restrooms were well maintained.. YES !! I will be back .

Some things about the buffet are great, namely the Chinese food. The hibachi is very basic and the sushi is usually not great. I also don't enjoy their selection of American food. Average service and cleanliness and although I am a fan it turns my stomach to see the health score here. (80 @ time of last visit). Since the Chinese food is my main reason for visiting it's not really worth it. A buffet with drink is over $15, however I often see people eating plates and plates of shrimp and crab claws so it must be a value to some people. They also have a panhandler loitering problem and that hasn't changed for years.

We come here for many years but it has went downhill over the years. After about a year, we come in on a Friday night, we had misread and expected crab legs. We walked in and they weren’t too busy but definitely had a small crowd. The hostess was probably the worst part of the experience. We approached the hostess stand and she didn’t greet us or ask how many. She got on her phone and when someone tapped her should, (another worker) she asked how many. We asked if they were doing crab legs tonight and she said, “I don’t know” and she we asked what days and hours they do them and she ignored the question and started picking at her finger nails. We asked if they were doing them tomorrow and she ignored us again. We left but decided to come back the next day, which someone else was working and they were more kind. I believe it was $17-18 a person with the crab legs in the buffet. The food was fine and okay. The crab legs were put out 3 times in the span on 45 minutes which was nice. The food was hot or warm. The sushi was actually pretty decent, I didn’t really have any complaints with a regular California roll. I would recommend this place if you want a very WIDE variety of food. The service really makes your experience, so as long as you have friendly faces, im sure you’ll enjoy eating here.

One of the best chines experiences I've had...ever! This place has an older traditional feel with classic recipes that have clearly been perfected over the years. I recommend the fried pot stickers, crab angels, beef and broccoli and garlic chicken. All of these dishes were excellent. Highly recommendable.

We’ve been a few times and don’t regret it. It’s usually very quiet and the servers are very nice. I’m not really a fan of Chinese food, but I do enjoy it here. Their prices are reasonable and the portions are perfect. I can’t remember what we ordered, but the photos will hopefully help.

This was my first experience with Top China restaurant. I did not know what to expect so I ordered two lunch entrees. They come in a what appears to be a small covered bowl. The food is cooked to order and is very hot in temperature. I was able to only eat the bourbon chicken. I have the teriyaki chicken for another meal. I did not know how the food would be...... I thought it was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I failed to mention that while it comes in a small bowl, when I emptied it out onto a plate, it covered the entire full size dinner plate. I knew at that moment I would not be able to eat both bowls. I felt it was well worth the $6.95 I paid for lunch entree. I will be back to this restaurant for another delicious lunch. Please remember if you have to wait a while for your order, be patient it is being prepared freshly.

I ate my to go lunch entree here at the restaurant. They have tables. I brought my own leak resistant paper plate with me. I ordered the L 4. Moo Goo Gai Pan. I had no idea what it was, but I enjoyed it very much. I took a photo. It looks darker than the it should be because I added two packs of soy sauce. I am okay with sodium chloride. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I enjoyed lunch there this afternoon. I very much enjoy Moo Goo Gai Pan because of the delicious sauce and the fresh vegetables. The chicken is incredibly tender and moist. When you get it in a bowl, it looks like very little, but you see how it ends up on a 10.5-inch plate. I highly recommend it.

1 star is too much to give them. My wife picked up food on the way home and the food was absolutely horrible. The attitude of the young lady was even worse upon calling to complain. The rice smelled and looked old, and the honey chicken smelled horrible. They will never get another penny from me

Not gonna lie I been eating from here for a while and that's some good fried rice. Best out of most Chinese spots I had here. They could chop the food into smaller pieces. I don't like no huge general tso chicken lol I'll think it some else besides chicken. Good place neebr found any hair or some crazy in my food. Give it a try

We had a little bit of a language barrier with our waitress and she seemed a bit impatient with us. We ordered 2 items off the lunch specials, which are also available on weekends. We came here to celebrate after graduation. This is one of my kids favorite places to eat and it is pretty good for what Montgomery has to offer. I like that they serve family style so that we're all able to share the various dishes and the crowd favorite was the shrimp pineapple dish in the heat on the general zao's chicken was good as well. Their market has items that you will not find anywhere else and we ended up leaving with some pork buns for later 😁

I was reluctant to try it because of the exterior but was pleasantly surprised by the inside. Nice decor that looks like, once upon a time, there might have been a water feature throughout the restaurant. Lunch was very affordable and came with a soup appetizer, I chose egg drop. I ordered General Tso's Chicken and steamed rice. The food is good but I could tell they just precook the chicken and sauce it to order. This is normal but, if possible, shouldn't be so obvious. The chicken was room temp and the sauce was warm. I didn't mind but thought the observation worth noting. Lunch was quick and totaled about 7.64 after tax. I will come back and explore more if the lunch offerings for sure.

We ordered the dumplings and they were the kind you literally got at costco but laid over lettuce. The orange chicken, pictured below, was friend chicken with a bland sauce and a side of cold canned pineapple chunks. I had the General Tso's chicken and it was delicious. The chicken was tender and crispy, and the sauce was wonderfully flavorful. The menu indicated that it was a spicy item, but I found it to be only slightly so (for me, just right). I ordered fried rice which was also very good. The lunch special included an egg roll, which was crispy, hot and yummy.
My wife had the Sechuzuan beef. She enjoyed every tender piece of beef and said the sauce was excellent. She also enjoyed hot green tea with her meal. She noted that it was a delightful tea.
This was our very first visit, but we both agreed that we want to come back!

I love this restaurant and their variety of chicken flavor choices. I tried the Pineapple chicken with pork fried rice and it topped any sesame, sweet and sour, and orange chicken that I have ever had. Was looking for a dine-in place and decided to stop here. It’s a small lobby with a few chairs and a couple tables. Most people do carry out. I ordered sweet and sour chicken with fried rice. Total was under $10. The fried rice was excellent with just enough crispness in the onions. The batter dipped chicken was in small pieces… That kept me from getting too much bread in my mouth at one time.
Never been to China but if I had inside this place it wouldn’t surprise me. Down to earth people. The girl at front sounds like she grew up in Montgomery. But she also speaks Chinese giving this little corner restaurant an authentic feel.
Enjoyed eating here and will return if I’m back in this area again.

I doubt many people eat in. The dining room is very small but its Chinese so takeout is probably 80% of the sales regardless. Big portions. Great taste. Its feels pretty authentic as soon as you walk in and I wasn't disappointed when I got home and ate. Good service, good food. A tad expensive but that's late 2022 so I won't dock them for that. Recommended.

Tried this location for the first time and was please with my order. However, the chicken fried rice was tasty but a little salty. What I wasn’t please with is the cashier who wasn’t very friendly. I visited a second time and wanted to dine in. It took a few minutes to place my order because the cashier went to the back with two other workers before taking the order. After placing the order it took 15 minutes with only one other customer before preparing the meal. I ordered Szechuan Chicken which was really good. Not sure if I will return because of poor customer service. The cashier seemed to have an attitude. The cost is high because of two meals.

So to start this spot has been here and gone through some notable changes over the years. I have eaten here off and on for decades. The restaurant is small but functional with tables and a drive through. It's clean and you can call in orders or order online. The food is fine and my only real complaint is the level of interpretation each restaurant has of a recipe. The dishes are identical in name on the menu but vary in similarity to other restaurants in form. The general Tso's for example has no spice or chili flavor. Their menu shows a spicy symbol next to sesame chicken which is never spicy and surprisingly enough despite the symbol theirs isn't spicy either. The chow mein is not a fried noodle like many spots and the lo mein is more like a spaghetti noodle. While I feel like I might enjoy many of the dishes I also worry that I won't be getting what I'm signing to for when I order and that's concerning. It means the menu would require thorough exploration and understanding much more than the name of a dish you might have had before or how Google describes "Hunan chicken". Portions are enormous, value is great, people are pleasant, place is clean and orders take about 15 minutes. But it's not the place to try if you are craving a dish you haven't ordered here before because it might not be what you expected.

This is a really great Chinese restaurant! It was my first time ordering and I was really impressed by the options and price! They could even raise the prices to reflect inflation and I would still very happily pay to eat their delicious food. My favorites were the lo mein (a classic) and the Happy Family--I highly suggest you order these and share with friends. You won't regret it!

At one point I thought this was the best Chinese restaurant in town. The years haven't exactly been kind and business must be slowing down. The food, first and foremost, is still pretty good. The service is the standard brisk minimal interaction you expect from a takeout place. The location though is haggard, uninviting, and doesn't inspire confidence. They are takeout only, have no air conditioning, and old furniture and trash bag barriers at the register would scare away the faint of heart. I hate to see an old favorite losing their edge and I hope the family can turn it around. I will still stop by when I'm around. Quick lunch for 7.70

It turned out to be absolutely the MOST Tasteless Food I've ever put in my mouth! It's like they don't even own a salt shaker, much less any other seasonings. That's NO JOKE!!

This is a simple fast food Chinese place. If you are expecting Michelin stars you will be disappointed. The food is good. The service is good. The hot and sour soup is good. I had the curry chicken - it was better than most fast food Chinese version.

The absolute worst fried rice I’ve ever tried. The portions were also very small compared to what I’m used to receiving elsewhere. Shrimp Lo Mein was actually ok, but once again the portion size was extremely small. The egg rolls were rolled so tightly and slim. I’m not sure what’s going on with this establishment, but I won’t visit again.

Been in Montgomery for over a year, tried various “Chinese food” joints. This place though, love the people, food full of flavor! We got our food in 8 minutes, given water while we waited, and left with smiles. Great food, family loved it so much.

He wouldnt give me my change back saying he didnt have change he owed me .85, I tried giving him .15 for $1 & he said he was good. Just a .85 rip off but it is the principle. Also the food was old & hard. I asked for a refund, he refused saying he can replace with different food that was also sitting out like if its bad it's bad no thank you. Food is not the same as it used to be. Not good at all rice stale sesame chicken and honey chicken tasted like it was days old. Even the tea was old. The food was all sour my husband ordered chicken and broccoli it was sour myself ordered spicy honey chicken both were sour along with the noodles. It was like thrtmeatthe was old! This was the worst Chinese food ever. I ordered Hunan spicy chicken with fried rice and it was not the right meat nor was it spicy. My granddaughter had the sweet and sour chicken and she said the sauce was like Jell-O and it turned her her fingers red. I will never eat here again very disappointed 😞. Now this Chinese restaurant is one of my favorites. Only the drive-thru is open. The food here is made to order so it is in my experience always fresh. Try the duck it is so delicious. The food was adequate not particularly standiing out. What did stand out was the poor service. Granted that the issue was caused by GrubHub, in that the order of sever dishes were dumped out in the bag, when I tried to get it replaced all they wanted to do was refund my money. Fine but what about the food! Could have been avoided by placing in better containers for transport and sealing sauces in soup containers to be added to the food on arrival.

I can say that they lady seems to be extremely tired, exhausted maybe. She always has this look on her face that lets you know something is bothering her.
The poor kids are always in the lobby or behind the counter and I honestly think that is no place for kids to be. She needs to just stay home and let the men do the work because it's just not right. I'm praying that she finds peace but to be honest I think today was my last time eating here.

Great food! We picked this restaurant for take out because it is closest to our Cloverdale neighborhood. But, it is now our favorite Chinese place in Montgomery. All our 5 dishes were delicious. Beef with broccoli and beef with onion/peppers were some of the best in our lives There are very large dumplings in the pot sticker order. Their pot sticker sauces and stir fry sauces taste to me as if they are hone made...and great! We aren't from the south...so we think the filling in crab rangoon is too sweet...but, every restaurant in Montgomery we have tried serves them this way. I highly recommend this delightful family owned and run small business. We met three generations on our first visit. They are in a well lit strip mall. Give them a try. Our 3 dinners and 3 appetizers=$40.

As time passes these business be going down . Service was awful , the man was extremely rude and barely let you get out what u have to say . And the food 0 stars , you can tell they reheat the food , I wouldn’t be surprised if food is prepared beginning of the week and served until gone . General Tso chicken tasted very gummy & the chicken was stringy as if it was previously cooked and over heated same with the egg rolls . I recommend the Chinese place in eastchase food always fresh & very tasty .
