This is a grand mansion art museum in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The grounds are inspiring! My favorite is the swing under the giant oak tree. The sun streaming in my face through the leaves was memorable. This is a beautiful museum in a beautiful location. We especially enjoyed the grounds. Some of the art on top floor were by favorite artists of ours. Still lovely. The grounds are perfect. The hardscaping, fountains, statues, landscaping were all art in themselves. We were anticipating a quiet, peaceful time. However, we visited during a big children's event and would have visited a different day had we known. (We didn't see any mention when we were looking at hours/prices.) It was much more crowded than we anticipated for a Wednesday morning and not as peaceful in views or sound, but still lovely.
The photographer's garden (?) was closed so we were sad to miss that; however, the other side with the summer house, fountain and ascent to the house was lovely with the large swing and bench alcoves along the ascent.
The back of the house gardens sweep down, accented by descending water steps, fountains, koi pond and culminating in a lovely rotunda perched among the surrounding trees.

Definitely worth a visit at least once. The museum is great, but the gardens and park don't get their due. A must see, the pictures do them no justice. The only disappointment in the gardens are the pre-columbian and Pioneer gardens, they need some attention. Artifact room on lower level has more artifacts than you could look at in a day with a wonderful interactive e-guided tour via a tablet you can carry with you as you go through this section. Upstairs has visiting exhibits and some wonderful bronze work by artists such as Remington. There are wonderful paintings and the gardens are beautiful and peaceful. I am an autistic POC amateur photographer who frequently looks at art in the Tulsa area. This place is the only place I go that the employees make me uncomfortable. It is odd to say hi and bye to someone and have them ignore you every time. They certainly aren't that way with everyone. I did have a conversation with one person that was nice that gave me a business card. Some of the people go out of their way to make me feel unwelcome. I went to see Paul McCartney at the BOK Center with a friend. I didn’t have any problems, even when I needed assistance getting to & from my seat in by the stage due to my injured knee. I had great service from the accessible services staff.My friend who sat in one of the upper 300 sections didn’t have the same experience though. She started having problems with her legs & back & needed to get up and walk & stretch. When she tried to go back to her seat, they wouldn’t let her as she’d left her area to go walk. So she had to find somewhere to sit outside of her seating area & listen to the concert and didn’t get to watch the majority of the show. Plus, they wouldn’t bring her a chair to sit on, even though they had brought one for me before I hobbled down to my reserved seat. So we had totally different experiences at the center.
The sound wasn’t bad at the center, and Paul put on a great show-I am glad I was able to see him again.

We discovered 2 locations while visiting the Tula area, and being a lover of old diners PLUS one being on Route 66, we were ecstatic!!! But, we weren’t happy. The service was mediocre at best, which surprised us, and they seemed really understaffed for weekday lunch rush. Hubby ordered their ‘famous burger and fries’,and I had a shake and Monte Cristo and fries. Hubby would give his meal a 7, and I’d rate my meal as a 3. I’ve had Monte Cristo’s around the country and this one was incredibly raw, like it was cooked too fast. We both really enjoyed the fries, however they were luke warm at best, and my shake seemed to be missing ice cream and lacked strawberry flavor. (Shake was $6 for 10 ozs. We truly enjoyed the ambiance, but we wouldn’t go back. We did buy 2 t-shirts while there, but the $80 total ticket price seemed beyond excessive - especially with the food issues. We might’ve complained, but the staff didn’t seem to care to check on us.
Beyond disappointing!! I hope others have better experience than we did.

The museum is a great way to beat the heat in the summer. Seeing all of the exhibits took less time than I expected but we still enjoyed it. The large exhibit changes every 18 months and the smaller every 12 months. If you are looking for the history of Route 66 note that this exhibit was gone as of our visit summer 2018. I am on a journey to discover Tulsa’s music scene. Oh. My. Goodness! Maggie’s Music Box in Jenks is an absolute gem!! If you're looking for a place with amazing live music, good food and drinks, and a super fun atmosphere, this is the spot to be.
From the moment my friends and I walked in I was impressed with the venue. The repurposed drums for lighting gave the place a unique and artsy vibe, and the Elvis figures scattered throughout added a fun, nostalgic touch. There is an awesome outside patio that has a stage and seating, but it was too cold for us to brave it; although there were people out there sitting by the outdoor heaters and fireplaces. I can’t wait to enjoy the music from the patio once it gets warmer.
But the best part by far was the live music. Wanda Watson was playing and it was her birthday. The owner brought special seating to the front for her friends and family. It was definitely a packed house. She is an amazingly talented blues artist. The music was so fantastic!
The atmosphere at Maggie's Music Box is just the right blend of lively and chill. Everyone seemed to be having a great time, and the friendly crowd made it easy to strike up a conversation with fellow music lovers.

It was easy in and out. Coming in, there were nice big open doors so we just walked up and security/check-in guys were fast and real simple. Didn’t get frisked. Just showed ticket and ID for drinks. Nice eating and bar area, easily accessible bathrooms with A MILLION stalls so I never had to wait, and it was clean and nice and fully lit in there with touchless sinks and paper towels!!!
Stage looked nice and big. Music sounded great. The bass drops were DEEP and made the hairs on your arms vibrate like you were getting the chills!! More than I expected, yet walking around and getting where we need to go was always easy.
Parking was FREE across the street ish, however the ground you drive on is hella lumpy like you could get stuck or mess up your car a bit not driving on it in a smart way to avoid dips. That’s the one downside but we ended up having no issues.
Location is RIGHT off the highway so it’s simple to get to and the location is easily accessible. However it’s a downtown area so there aren’t your typical restaurants, fast food, or gas stations around. So that’s not fun. Gotta drive to those and find them because they’re out of sight.
Pyrotechnics were cool. Probably from the bands set up but there was plenty of space for it and it worked. State lights seemed good although we couldn’t see the singer much. Didn’t seem to be a spotlight on here like I expected. Couldn’t see too much of the band either because the stage was fairly dark. But maybe this is normal. I don’t go to concerts much. Smartphone recording was never shamed or frowned upon.

That being said, our child still had a good time and was entertained for several hours, and we will be coming back again

The sections are themed, and my only suggestion is to have the instructions/ explanations read to the little ones. My 6 year old loved the ball space, and sorting the colored balls (shout out for using color-blind-friendly colors!!), and my 11 year old enjoyed the makers spaces where we could build and test different things, like a parachute and paper air planes. As a formed elementary educator, I really appreciated the cause and effect theme of most of the exhibits. Restrooms are clean, exhibits are clean, and there are a ton of different spaces, which helps to break up the busyness. Time to up date my Garden Deva 5 star rating. Since I first wrote my review, I have ordered several new items as well a purchased several in person when we were in Tulsa in January. My latest order is the American Flag which "flies" on our deck, off the living room. My flamingo is on the roof which is our deck and can be seen for from many different directions. But my favorite is the salute to Ukraine (the picture is the last one below). I have it were I see it everyday.
Living in Denver doesn't allow me to take the Iron Work classes offered by Garden Deva, but I would love to.

Time My first piece from Garden Deva was 2001. I purchased it at Philbrook Museum of Arts, Festival of Trees. It is a young girl with her arms up. It represents my granddaughter. Three years later, I got a small Christmas tree with a young boy in front, representing my grandson. I have several Christmas ornaments. More recently, I have 2 reindeer, one large white and one darling red smaller female. Halloween is very fun on my back deck with the spooky hands, witches, pumpkins etc. I ordered, and love my Peppermint Christmas tree. The new Koala is on top of my lattes waiting the summer flowers.
Five years ago, several friends and I gave a personalized shower present to some very close friends. They owned everything they could need, making the trellis a very unique and appreciated gift.
As I live in Denver, most all of my pieces have been shipped with no problem.
I often wish I could take the Saturday classes.

As soon as they took over, statement dates, receipt dates, payment recorded dates all seem to be in conflict causing payments to not be recorded in a timely manner. Wow! Best way to describe our company Team building event. Our custom designed puzzle canvas project was perfect. Planning the event with Maureen, Lisa, and Kiley was easy and everything turned out just as we planned! Our artist Rachel created a beautiful design of our company model home. She had each painting space perfectly laid out and ready. She created a color “menu” for each canvas which helped us blend just the right amounts of paint to create consistent colors on each canvas. I have been here for in person sessions and had a good experience but DO NOT order a paint at home kit from this location. Google says they close at 10pm but if you try to pick up your kit at 9:30 they are extremely rude and won’t even open the door to speak with you. They yell “what do you want” through the door and say “we are closed”. You can only pick up a kit during their 6 random hours they have in person sessions. Not worth the hassle, especially if you live out of town. I’ve made 2 other trips this week with no success. Google hours are incorrect. My suggestion would be to purchase your own supplies and find a YouTube video for an at home experience

Decided to try Pinot’s Palette in Tulsa for Mother’s Day with my sisters.
Our instructor DaLinda had a great personality and sense of humor. The room was spacious and they give you ample time to paint (our class was from 2pm-4:30, we went over a little bit).
I’ve done several paint-n-sip classes but this one was quite different. So here’s some things you should know:
1. A drink is NOT included in your ticket (our’s was $42/person). I definitely didn’t understand this upfront, but if I did, I wouldn’t have booked. The tickets are too high to pay for drinks separately. I’ve never been to a paint event like this, considering how expensive it is. Typically you can find such events $30 and under, and they will either include drinks or be BYOB.
2. The art work is ABSTRACT. You will paint everything from scratch. Some painting events provide outlines and give you the option to select what you’re painting.
3. The classes are relatively large, so if you need a lot of 1:1 it could be challenging, but they did have 2 assistants to the teacher.
4. The class feels long. I think primarily because of the music and the type of painting you do. Some of the other classes I’ve attended the session were between 1.5hrs-2hrs and the music is much more vibrant and it’s more of an individualized approach.
I won’t be back, but I won’t say it was awful. I do though, think their prices are unreasonable for what they offer. It was $168 for 4 people.

My previous review was somehow hidden, I am going to try to post this one, This shop blocked me on Facebook because I was calling them out, all their artists stood by this tattoo saying it looked good, I had a terrible experience with Tim Stewart “Lil Tim” (and some of their other artists making rude remarks) and while he no longer works there this shop is still horrible and has horrible word of mouth around town, I have heard nothing but terrible things about the artists who work here and the Owner and I don’t mean just them being rude but also about them threatening clients and scamming their own artists, Instead of reaching out to me and reimbursing me or just an apology at the very least they block me on Facebook????

If you’re looking for Color ask for Kenneth. Told him I wanted to start a Japanese style sleeve and he knocked it out of the park. Had great availability and was ultra professional with the process. Took all the breaks I needed and made sure I was taken care of. The owner was super chill overall and all the staff I met there were cool too. I’d really recommend this spot as I’ve spent over 48 hours getting tattooed here and never had a hiccup. Definitely coming back for the other projects.

I could never say enough good things about this place and people. I have been coming in religiously every few months catching up on my ink seeing Jeff for over a year. My husband found Jeff on Instagram, got his tattoo and I knew immediately where I would go once I started back up. My husbands tattoos he has received are beautiful, and my tattoos are STUNNING. The Art Deco Lofts & Apartments community is such a great place to live. I've been a tenant for almost eighteen months and love the Downtown location. Initially, I had signed my lease sight unseen as a last-minute emergency right before a cross-country move with Tulsa Remote and was so nervous... However, building management made the process seamless, and even provided a walk-through video for me so that I could have a feel for the layout before the movers arrived. The building is well-cared for, as are the tenants; any concerns or maintenance needs are addressed straight away, and the entire Price Family Property team has been such a dream to work with.
The units are well-appointed, and the industrial elements add great character; you'll also find historical details from the Art Deco era throughout the building, too! Neighbors are sociable and warm, and there is secure underground parking for a very reasonable monthly rate. In the future, I'll need to find a larger apartment since I work from home, but am hoping to stay within Price Family Properties because of the great living experience—regardless, when it is time to say goodbye to this unit, it will be bittersweet.
