OMG such a nice place to stay for a week or so. It's so so peaceful and right in front of the ganga ghat. Ram jhula, parmarth ashram so nearby, walking distance. There is daily satsang inside the geeta bhawan. Overally the place is very beautiful and budget friendly. You should just book in advance if possible. They only allow families to stay. The rooms were okayish and there were ants inside at some places but overally the cleanliness was good.

We went here on 12th April, 2025 and depart from here on 15th April, 2025. The truth is that we did not want to come from there because we felt very good with our children, the children also enjoyed a lot there. It seemed as if we are at God's house.
We got lots of peace in this holy ashram. The continue chanting in the bhajan hall. Get positive vibes in Samadhi hall. The member of staff completely dedicated to their services.

There are a number of Yoga Ashramas for practicing meditation and Sivananda Ashram is one of the best where anyone can experience the humanity and yogic life It is managed by the Divine life society and the place environment very peaceful and religious and person feels relax in mind, body and soul.
This ashram is well managed and everything is very serene and peaceful here. There are also temples especially of Sri Krishna where arati and devotional activities are offered to the lord. It is good place to visit while in Rishikesh.
It's a nice ashram, very clean, and known for their spiritual experience. Although we did not stay there and came here only for the visit, I understand there are rooms here for stay for week or more time. If you're coming here for yoga and it's free of cost. The meditation room is quite big and feels very peaceful.

This is a terrible place to go to. The place is essentially run by a fraud manager and the food is pretty average. The manager was one of the rudest and money-minded people I have witnessed. You can enjoy boating in the Ganges also, which is near this suspension bridge. There are plenty of eateries nearby where you can have lunch or quick bites. WHAT to do there? - Just sit there. Just sit on the white sand listening to the Holy Ganges flowing past with strong current hitting the rocks. It is absolutely peaceful, serene and rejuvenating. It’s HEAVENLY!
WHEN to go there? - We went there early morning. Reached around 8AM. Wind was very chilly (March first week) and fast. You might want to carry a jacket. Especially if you have kids - cover them up nicely with 2-3 layers atleast. It wasn’t crowded at all. Hardly 15-20 folks. This is a small beach.
WHERE TO PARK? - You can park near Ram Jhula (Paid parking) and walk (800-900m) OR there is a small approach road (Google will suggest this if you put on the navigation). You can park anywhere roadside near the approach road. Not much traffic or restriction at this time of the morning. We did the latter.
HOW to reach? - we took the route suggested by Google from Tapovan to The beach via Jonk, Neelkanth Bridge and Laxman Jhoola road. Would highly recommend taking this route. It is filled with picturesque views. You will remember this drive.
Safe for Kids? - Yes kids will love playing at the beach. Sand doesn’t stick so don’t worry about brining it back. 90% of it you can just frisk away
Can you take a bath / dip here? - Although not recommended by the local authorities due to improper bathing facility and fast current, we did take a dip the holy water. Please be safe and don’t go too inside. Go in a group so that you can hold hands. NO CHANGING ROOMS. Would be difficult for women.
Overall a must visit for a refreshing experience.

Beautiful Ashram to stay and experience the divine Goddess Ganga in Rishikesh. The Ashram is maintained so neatly. It is very clean. Inside the campus, you will get a veg restaurant where they serve outstanding and very authentic food. Lots of foreigners prefer eating at this restaurant.
Govindji Prasadam Restaurant has pure Satvik food (Prasadam) and multi cuisine. Madhuban Ashram has a small Goshala. Charity goes to Go-Seva. Whole Ashram is very nice - clean and beautiful though small area. Parking space is available. Ashram has beautiful temple with mountain view - Deities are Lord Krishna, Radha, Jagannathji, Lord Sri Ramsita and hanumanji temple is also there. Charanamrith Prasadam is given. We visited this park on a weekday on summer at near about 1.30pm and so we have to wait for near about 2hours to enter the jungle area by sufari. We visited the chilla zone. A 36 km drive in this safari zone is very popular. It takes 3-4 hours to complete the safari. From entry to Mundal Sot track passes through dense forest as well as open Chaur. It is example of a mix jungle. Asian Elephant, Tiger, Leopard, Spotted deer, Sambhar, Langoor, Barking deer, Jungle cat etc animal found here. Pied, Great Hornbill also main attraction on this range. We have seen wild elephants, peacocks(male and female), vultures, mostly spotted deers, sambar, monkeys and some footprints of other animals as well, the guide had shown us.
Though we have not seen any tiger or pied or hornbill but I'm not much disappointed as it was my first jungle sufari. I can say I enjoyed my 4 hours(approx) journey .❤️❤️

We didn’t see any elephants on our first day (we went in mid April). Mainly just saw peacocks and deer. We decided to go back the next day because it was my dream to see wild elephants. Our driver/guide was persistent and we finally spotted to older juvenile male elephants. Well worth the second day looking. We had an amazing time. If you don’t have luck the first day, hire a different guide company and try another day. Also if you weren’t lucky with morning, try afternoon/evening.
