Brighton is so much more laid back and beachy. For those visiting Adelaide, non of the metro beaches get any surf unless its a storm. The water is super calm so if youre new to the ocean and afraid of waves, no need to worry here. And obviously jetty jumping is a bonus, and Brighton jetty better than Glenelg as well. Finally compared to the beaches further north like semaphore and grange way, they just feel less coastal and nice imo because they're closer to Port Adelaide. Oh one other thing, if you go too far south and end up at the seacliff end there are lots of blue swimmer crabs down that way so you might get nipped / step on one. Dont stress though you have to be really far down the end near the rocks / reef so theres plenty of beach where theyre not a problem.
