But I gave this church another chance, because I wanted to try the kids church as well for my son, hoping he can receive some meaningful preach from one of the pastors. The first 30 minutes the kids were playing like any other daycares, and then one of the volunteers gathered kids. My son and I were excited to learn about the Bible. But the volunteer lady started some dance videos and asked kids to dance along. At that moment, my son completely lost interest in the program and wanted to go home. For him, he still doesn't know what God is, and why does he have to dance and sing "My father is good, and his house is good". Other kids at the program especially boys looked bored too. There WAS a kids pastor. She was periodically looking from the hallway. But she NEVER came inside the room to give any preach. So we decided to leave the room and I took him to the adult church where the concert was being held. He also enjoyed it first, but he wanted to go home. But I couldn't go home because I was going to meet one of the band member and talk to her ( because she told me to wait for her after the concert beside the stage) so I told my son to wait with me outside the auditorium and finally the concert was over so we went back inside. We waited for 10 minutes but she never showed up. So I was very sad. At that point I decided to never come back. But our bad experience didn't end then. One Asian lady suddenly started talking to me and since I talked to her when I first went there we started talking. She said hi, but as soon as she saw my son, she asked me " Your son is so pretty. Can I take a picture of him?" so I politely said " Sorry but my son is very shy so no thanks". But that lady took out her phone and forcefully trying to take pictures of him. I have never been to this facility prior to this concert. I believe now reading these reviews that this facility conducts itself in this manner as a personal preference. I strongly believe this church was NOT built for Bethesda/ChristCity and will one day dwindle and die and a new church, a worthy church will take the building and make it flourish. From what I read, one reviewer said they only see 30% capacity in the auditorium (its not a Sanctuary) this may be sooner than later. Thank God I live in Calgary now and never have to set foot in this place, even when my cousins play there in their successful band. And all of what I said was said out of love not hate. I am very disappointed in what Bethesda became because i have many great memories growing up in that church.

Alpha was a weird course whennwe broke into groups it was people talking about AA and past trauma not what the course was laid out in the videos. I stopped going after week 5. June 29 was the last and final time i attended as it was my bday weekend and wanted to see the people who became friends with but the service was nothing i want to be apart of again I will be finding another church I hope this shines some light on the issues that i have seen, and have also read about on the reviews before i posted.
