The trails and beaches were quiet and beautiful. I saw birds, shells, osprey, and the shifting colors of the Gulf. The air was warm and the light was soft. I love taking the boat across to Caladesi, which is the true island. The ferry is twenty dollars per adult. Caladesi is unspoiled paradise. It holds wildlife that ranges from amazing to shocking and the feeling of untouched Florida that is hard to find anywhere else in the world. You can really feel the ancestral presence here and the old story of this coastline. Honeymoon Island is peaceful, beautiful, and sacred. It has always been a place that returns me to myself. If you love nature, quiet walks, wildlife, and the feeling of wide open sky, this is a place you should experience at least once. My favorite beach. A great place for families with children! I have loved this park since I was a kid.
