Again, it was a crowded day, but I believe the news of a miscarriage should have been informed in some type of private space. A virtual appointment was scheduled. I was inform to have my phone in my possession all day, but the patient portal had the call scheduled for 9am. I did not receive a call from Dr. N. until 8pm that night. Nurses stated he would be in surgery all day, which confused me as to why the appointment was scheduled on a busy day for him. During the virtual appointment, Dr. N. explained that it happens & I should expect the bleeding to end just like a period. I’ve experience four weeks of bleeding. Bleeding finally ended on this Sunday. One thing that I found to be interesting is information listed on my medical chart that was not mention on the day of my visit. For example, prenatal vitamins was listed on my medical chart, but I was informed that I was losing my child & to just let it take its course. Also, I have history of being anemic which four weeks of bleeding is not a good thing. I honestly felt because I was only 1-2 weeks pregnant that my pregnancy loss did not matter because there was nothing that could be done & no more money to receive since my child did not make it. To top it all off, it was tough seeing mothers in the waiting room while I’m going through my first pregnancy & first miscarriage at once. I decided to have my follow up appointment at another obgyn location because I want to make sure that I have healed properly with my body from this experience.
