A nice museum that isn’t too large to cover all in one visit.
An array of work spanning different artistic periods. Mostly one of each of the artists you’d recognize (Hopper, Rockwell, the usual…)
It wasn’t overly crowded either, which was nice.

My friend and I had a wonderful time at the museum. Getting there was straightforward, we just happened to accidentally miss the entrance and go to the top. It's nicely laid out with a ton of space to explore! We finished one spot and thought we were nearly done, but there were 3 more sections left for us. I enjoyed the exhibits and learned a lot about Ohio history. The attendants were helpful and the map was straightforward. I do wish there was a better sign that upstairs is mostly empty. We thought we had more to explore and we were unfortunately unable to visit the gift shop because their wifi was gone. Beautiful building with so many awesome pieces of artwork. It has lovely garden and seating area with a restaurant serving some of the most delicious food I have ever had. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and are able to fill you in on the artists. We loved the Columbus Art museum and will definitely come visit again in the future. We got to celebrate Margaret M. Walter wings 10 year anniversary, maybe we will make it a point to go back for the 20th.

I didn't visit the bulk of the museum (yet), but we saw the Capbell Quartet perform a Halloween show with the Candlelight Symphony concert series & had a great time. I definitely intend to come back for a regular visit to see the rest of the museum, but this concert space was intimate & nice, staff was very friendly & we were pleasantly surprised that parking for this event was free. The quartet were incredibly talented & very personable as well.

The visit was amazing! We visited for the Unofficial Galaxies event since we are huge Star Wars fans. The event was spectacular with a ton of really insane exhibits that were mostly fan made. We were absolutely thrilled to see all of the handmade items and pieces from the films.
We recommend buying tickets in advance. Also the military discount here is only $2 but still worth it.

This place is so worth it. For only $30 bucks we got over 3 hours of fun and useful information about the world we live in. We visited the planetarium twice for two films that were incredible and at no extra charge. You definitely can make a whole days worth out of this museum. I also enjoyed that it’s not only child oriented but also includes stuff for adults to do. Also don’t forget to check out the shows they do during the day. We got to see rats play basketball! My one and only complaint about this place is I wish there were more cool shirts in the gift shop for adults! (All the cool ones are for the kids)

There are many exhibits to explore. The dinosaur & shark exhibits were great to see, as they had life size models on display & it was very informative. The Ocean exhibit was fun because you can go into a real submarine & there is an interactive water room. One of the best things about the museum is how many hands on things there are to do. There were tons of day camp kids running wild, but that can be expected on a weekday morning in the summer. Very cool hands on stuff for kids. I visited on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon with my adult special needs group, looking forward to a peaceful and enriching experience. While walking through the grounds, one of my autistic participants politely approached a volunteer and asked for her name — this is his way of introducing himself, something we're actively encouraging to help him feel more confident engaging with the community.

I cannot speak highly enough about the quality of the displays and the knowledge of the staff and volunteers. I took the guided tour of the WWI exhibit and Alex was incredibly well versed on the evolution of artillery and how it impacted so many aspects of the war. Scott in the all steel house - yes you read correctly - the Lustron steel homes manufactured in Ohio. They have a full home on display and you can open drawers, touch walls. The interactive nature of many of the displays is simply a joy for children I’m sure but this forever kid loved it too! Front desk staff made my entry and exit very pleasurable with their attentive greetings and suggestions.

A nice museum that we found to be surprisingly informative and interesting all about Ohio. As you travel from room to room it is fun to learn what each has to offer. There is even a replica home of life in the 50s which was fun to explore. I thought it was worth the stop and would come again.

The Billy Ireland Cartoon Library and Museum is relatively accessible. The entrance to the building has long ramps that are not too steep for those in a wheelchair or in general who cannot use the stairs. They have accessible entrances that can open automatically into the building however they lack it when entering the actual museum as well as the doors that lead to the restroom. The Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum is a really neat, free feature on OSU's campus. We stopped by on Friday and had a great time. There are parking garages on campus just a short walk from the museum building, and we paid $10.00 for event parking (probably due to the graduation weekend).
The museum is on the 2nd floor, and had a few featured exhibits on display - 3 rooms total. While not huge, it's still really enjoyable to walk around and see what they have. Pictures were allowed in some spots. There was a fun variety of art, a lot that was very nostalgic! I think there's also a reference library people can check out, but by appointment.
I would absolutely recommend people stop by the cartoon museum if they're in Columbus and have the opportunity.

Wonderful Memorial Grove is a sanctuary for remembrance and reflection with dozens and dozens of American Elms providing natural shade along the path proving a great place for relaxation amd rest. There are also 4 waterfalls to constantly provide a natural backdrop in contrast to the normal busy city sounds one might expect in the inner city. The limestone wall reflects regional geology and symbolizes the strength of the nation. The waterfalls highlight water as the source of life and healing.

Plenty of historical firetrucks and engines going back to the horsedrawn days, the stables are part of the experience. I was really surprised at how quickly they could get the horses ready to be out of the building and heading to the fire.
Hose drying was an area I hadn't even considered, but the tower is set up to show you how it worked. Well worth a visit and there's an exhibit, aimed at children, to help understand fire safety.

Ohio Village is included in the admission to the museum, and the town is laid out fully for you to examine and explore at your own pace - with assistance from staff who act out as if they’re currently living in the 1800’s, answering questions you may have and giving you lots of general information.
We came late in the day and when some of the staff were on vacation, but the people who were still there were very enthusiastic and seemed happy to show us around. We have been to the All Hallows Eve event several times before covid. Went tonight and still my family had a good time. The food stands were really good but prices were crazy. It says it's wheelchair accessable. Well that was proved wrong tonight. My 12 yr old has a hard time walking around due to health issues, so we took her wheelchair. I’ve loved going here since I was a child and I now bring mine here every few years or so. It would be amazing if they had more money but they do well with what they have. It’s nice to see they’ve opened a lot more stuff up in the last couple of years.
The trolley appears to run on the half hour fyi. Its fun and Id recommend it. Get there on the hour, check things out for a half hour, take the ride, then look at whatever you missed or you want to see again.

I attended several of the most recent exhibits including The Roaring Twenties in Columbus which was one of the best historic exhibits I seen, Pandemic Art in Central Ohio was incredibly moving and the current The 70's Music Explosion in Columbus. If your kid is into Legos, they will like this experience. I took my 9 year old twins during a weekday afternoon while they were on spring break. We were there for 3 hours. It’s definitely more geared towards 4-8 year old age range. The Lego city was awesome! I loved seeing Columbus in Legos. The VR experience was extra and lasted 2 minutes but was my favorite. The Starbucks coffee shop was my second favorite as I could drink my well made vanilla latte while the kids played. My son got into building and racing / wrecking cars off the 2 small ramps. The activity book was not worth purchasing and seemed annoying to have around my kids necks. It’s a bit pricey for the experience: 2 kid rides, 2 minute VR & 15 minutes of 4D movie. As an adult I found it lame and I love Legos. I wanted to redesign the layout and concept. The kids loved it and we got to spend the afternoon together.

I was reluctant to take my children/teen to Legoland Discovery Center for a few reasons but mostly because the tickets were $30 each so $120.00 just to get in....plus I knew my kids were going to ask to purchase Legos from the gift shop and only one of my children truly plays Legos on a regular basis. Overall it was a 4 star out of 5 experience....try to go on a. Non -busy day because it was definitely a plus that there was no waiting in line for rides or the movie or the playground. Parking is also super easy , just park in the garage and walk right into Legoland through the side garage entry door.

Visited for the first time to see author James McBride. We arrived to greeters happy to check us in to the event and they were very welcoming. Once checked in I walked around the center and looked at some of the art work posted. The event was very well run and listening to James McBride was a delight. He touched on his current book as well as a few of his older classics and had a long Q&A session. Afterwards he signed books and took pictures while the center had cookies and waters for everyone. Do not take classes with the ceramics instructor Sandy/Sandra Lang. She is the type of teacher that makes people not want to return. My wife and I visited The Museum of Catholic Art and History in Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday, November 26, 2022, to see the Christmas Nativity scenes on display. The museum is located on the first floor of The Columbus Foundation building, a historic building in downtown Columbus that is the former home of the first Wendy’s restaurant. We immensely enjoyed the exhibit, but more than that, we came away with a great appreciation for the whole museum.
First, only a fraction of the collections at The Museum of Catholic Art and History can be shown due to space limitations. However, it is easily observable that the collections on display are well-curated. The staff at the museum have put time, thought, and effort into showing these collections to the best effect. Second, the religious objects and artifacts on display are relevant to Christian (especially Catholic) visitors and are reverently presented. Third, our tour guide was thoughtful, knowledgeable, and helpful in showing us around the museum. These three factors gave my wife and me a wonderful museum experience.
If you are a Catholic Christian living in or visiting the Columbus, Ohio, area, I highly recommend visiting this museum. The value of touring the museum is well worth the price of admission. If you are coming with a large group (more than 4 people), it might be best to call ahead and make sure the museum can accommodate you.

My mother was visiting from out of town and I thought she might enjoy these Catholic artifacts. We were surprised at how interesting the whole place was even for non-religious folks! Part history, part art museum. The current location (inside the Catholic Foundation) is smaller than the previous site, but they have plans to move to someplace where their full collection can be displayed. Take advantage of the guided tour, they have a lot of insights to share. They are super friendly and let you photograph anything you want and there are even some things you can touch. They have a lot of plans to display the freedom train archives, holocaust archives, and 9/11 as well. They need visitors and donations to make this come true. Our history is worth it! Our primary objective this trip was to meet Matt Dinniman (Dungen Crawler Carl series) who was VERY popular at this event. I'd be willing to bet he was THE MAIN attraction based on crowds, long lines.
Though he wasn't meant to sign all day Sunday, he made himself available to do just that, ensuring anyone who wanted to, could have their book signed. Such a great stand-up guy! He went the extra mile and signed while walking around the event too.. which is when my daughter got her books and such signed. Check out the series if you haven't already! The audiobooks are AWESOME.
Overall, a very successful event, and worth the trip.

This new incarnation of the Barber Shop Museum and Hall of Fame is literally coming up from the ashes of the old museum, due to a fire in the building that housed it.
It is a labor of love that is still in the process of being cleaned and restored from the smoke damage. Exhibits are being reconstructed, and put back together in a larger and better location, which is part of the local school. Though it is not complete yet, we happened to stop by during one of their work sessions.

We just returned from an incredible visit to Olentangy Caverns in Delaware, OH, and we couldn’t wait to share our experience! From the moment we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by the variety of activities available for the whole family. Seriously, you could spend an entire day here and still want to come back for more!
First off, let me give you a heads-up: the caverns tour is stunning but not handicap accessible due to the steep steps involved. That said, the cool air and beautiful formations inside are absolutely worth it! We took our time with a self-guided sheet that pointed out all the key spots—it really helped us appreciate the unique beauty of the cave. The lighting created such an uplifting atmosphere; we found ourselves completely immersed in the experience.
After exploring the wonders of the caverns, we ventured into the maze! It was so much fun hunting for the vending machines scattered around. Each coin allowed us to unlock a prize from different vending machines—think arrowheads, ebony animals, and cute little vials of gems. There’s something magical about winning treasures like that!
Next, we wandered along a nature trail, enjoying the serenity of the woods while discovering intricately carved wooden animals. Nature and art combined? Yes, please! 🦌✨
But the highlight of the day? The petting zoo! They provide you with a cup of feed, and we had the best time feeding goats and deer. Hannah was absolutely in her element, giggling and interacting with the animals—this was definitely her favorite part!
We also squeezed in a round of mini-golf, where Hannah showcased her skills and totally kicked my butt! 😂 After that, she had a blast playing on the playground, complete with firetrucks, swings, and slides.
Before wrapping up our adventure, we indulged in some gem mining. Hannah uncovered some fantastic gems! 💎
On our way out, we stopped by the gift shop to pick out a few gems to take home as keepsakes. A note for parents: the restrooms are impeccably clean, and there’s a lovely picnic area with bottled drinks, chips, and candy available for those looking for a snack.

Went on a Saturday around 12, started to get pretty busy around 12:45-1:30. Which makes the cave/cavers very tight to walk through.
While your down there your using a provided map to guide yourself around and match the corresponding areas ( Ex; A to A or 1-1 ) We went after it had just rained the night before, so everything was VERY wet. Wear waterproof/walking shoes if you plan on exploring. Be prepared to get dripped on by very cold water coming off nearby rocks, and the “ceiling”. Coming down the initial very steep stairs is a beautiful view of different levels of rocks decending into a tunnel/cave where the rest of the cavers are. Tons of puddles all over the ground from collected rain water and the “droplets”. Most the areas are about big enough for one person to walk through the tunnel areas at one time, and if your a larger person i DO NOT recommend going down there. Some areas are extremely tight and really only accessible to someone under 4’5 and around 100 pounds or less.
(Im 5’4, 140 and some areas i almost got stuck cause it was too tight going through the rocks.
It is neat to see though, i dont think id want to do it again as it is just wet rocks and the furthest tunnel was closed from the previous year that occurred from some heavy rain water. (The water collected, over time causing a collapse). So that was kind of a bummer but i get it for safety reasons.
The gem mining was fun, definitely loaded with a lot of “gravel” type rocks so that was new for me, Ive only ever had ones with dirt/sand that yield rocks/gems/shark teeth. We found some really interesting gemstones in each tray.

Going to be boring and smelly, and i was happily wrong. The goats were adorable, when we came in a baby jumped through the fence and was following our group. And when we came inside the “pen” to pet them he ran back in it was very cute!
The deer were a little skittish but very sweet and gentle. The treasure hunt/maze was VERY fun we enjoyed getting different prizes snd trading them within the group.

I decided to review how Thompson Library is able to cater to those with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. First I would like to share that upon walking in, there is a large spacious entryway facing the oval with a push button for those who are entering in a wheelchair.
