There was absolutely too many favourites to list but definitely highlighting the following: dry-aged kingfish, hokkaido scallop: the kingfish was 'dry' not in the way that it had no moisture but more like the moisture had been locked in and the freshness of it paired with the slightly pickled(?) fennel was a great pairing. the scallop was fleshy, light and natural which just melted in your mouth. chawanmushi: silken and soft like the softest tofu but with no eggy flavour that you can sometimes experience with chanwanmushi. the dashi stock was flavourful but not overpowering and the abundance of soft spanner crab was so moreish. the smoked eel springroll: on paper that doesn't sounds like it works but not only does it work, as you have the last bite you can't stop dreaming about eating it again. the freeze dried ginger balsamic accompaniment needs to be packaged and sold so i can sprinkle it over everything! the service was attentive and professional and thoughtful. we had some great discussions with the chef given we had the chef's table private dining all on our own. thanks to the team at Mu for making our night so enjoyable and keep up the great work!

The drinks were a let down, Willow brought us out an amazing first drink but then her shift ended and she had to go.
