It is very well presented with lots of exhibits, both interactive and static, and it isn't just steam trains either. On my visit there was also access to the footplates of the locomotives being manned by the volunteers which was an added bonus. We arrived around 10:55 which was only 5 minutes before the recommended car park opposite the hotel closed for new cars. The walk from that car park to the hotel entrance is quite convoluted and at night less than enjoyable. There are staff supervising the larger slides and jumps for safety which is probably needed as it’s carnage (in a fun way) once you’re in the mix! Great fun for all and totally recommend! Wear long sleeved clothing and certainly not shorts to avoid friction burns on the skin! Trust me you won’t need longer than the 1 hour session! You’ll be knackered and covered in sweat!
