First off, the guy at the front desk wasn't necessarily the nicest but he gave us all the info we needed on where to go and such and we had to carry out clubs to the cart even though they are supposed to greet and carry your clubs for you. And second we didn't have any ice or water in our cart and there was no one there who I could bring this up to. These issues are small and very minor inconveniences, and because of that once I revisit the resort in the coming month or so and I don't run into these issues again I will gladly change my review to 5 stars! Great course and views. Update: Ever since my first review I have played this course a few more times and it hasn't been amazing. The second time was ok, however with having each tee time split by only 10 minutes and no sight of a marshal the play was very slow and took 3 hours just to play 9 holes. The third time playing here was even worse because the grounds crew was watering the fairways throughout the entire day and by watering I mean flooding. You would hit your drive and watch it splash and immediately die in the fairway. And not to mention that you would be driving right at the grounds crew which makes it hard to focus. I get it these places need constant maintenance for good grass but it seems that every time I play here I get let down in one way or another. Nothing critical happened during my visits so I will move my review up to a 3 star but I would recommend checking out other courses around the abq area until you find what you enjoy.

The wait staff should have anticipated that guests were going to be drinking more water due to the extreme heat. It was hotter inside than the outside temperature. We propped the doors and windows but the wind came through and basically sent decorations flying. Simple table settings were not done properly and the grooms family did not even get Champagne for the traditional toast as they did not even have flutes set. Another issue with service was the buffet line ran out of plates. As the mother of the bride I was wondering why my guests were waiting for a while so I left my meal to go see. At the end of the night the Bar was closing tabs and one of the guests was given someone else’s credit card. Due to the mix up I was left responsible for getting the cards back to both guests the next day. I expected better from Tanoan on this memorable day. When I brought my concerns up to the Sales team they made me feel like my complaints were not valid. Instead of empathizing with me one of them had the nerve to say to me that when she is out she always checks to ensure she was given her correct card. Honestly, I would do the same but this is not what I want to hear. I wanted some sort of responsibility to be taken. I wanted Tanoan to genuinely acknowledge my concerns and not keep saying everyone else’s day is perfect while I am the only one this has happened to. If it was an off day for them then they should acknowledge their failure and make it right. I do not recommend this wedding venue due to not only the lack of service but due to them not even caring to express their own responsibility in the issues. I would personally like to apologize to all of my guests for putting you through this and thank you all for being there for us.
