Honestly my go to for cakes around Tanjong Pagar when I am splurging a bit. It’s not too sweet (so not the Western Style cakes with heaviness galore) but more the subtle elegance of Japanese sweets. Since Pantler is no longer an option around here it’s been nice to get something that’s nearby which caters to people like myself who doesn’t like to maybe die of diabetes in the near future. They have more mousse base cakes which isn’t bad but I prefer the shortcake. They finally got a strawberry shortcake for the lunar new year and valentines season which I hope they keep on the regular menu! The cream on the exterior is kind of heavy like a butter cream but the inside was nice and fluffy. A pleasant experience overall as the staff was very nice. Best to go early while the display is full. Later on in the day it’s pretty slim pickings.
