We fit 270+ people comfortably into one side for the reception, while allowing the other side to be open for the bar, dance floor and desserts. Thank goodness for so much space because we had a line of people for our ice cream cart, while having so much room for people to dance at the same time. I then asked to speak with the assistant manager, but was given the exact same reason. They then instructed Heidi, at the front desk to tell me that if this is in regards to the water being shut off that they would be giving any refunds. Two managers refuse to speak with me in regards to my stay and let their front desk staff be the ones to deliver bad news. Unacceptable and the front desk staff should have never been put in that position! Not to mention the night and the morning this occurred not one manager came to the hotel during this episode of no water. They let their front desk staff handle all of this issue. Which they did their absolute best being kind to the guests. NEW MANAGEMENT IS NEEDED! *I also called the hotels management company of The Hospitality Associates and left a voicemail to discuss the issues of my stay, however I never received a return call....WOW! HOWEVER, I paid over $200 for a one-night stay that had no running water. Besides this being a health violation, it is disgusting and wrong. What I was given were two free bottles of water to wash up in my room.... After returning to my room, I then tried to get a bit more sleep before I had to check out, since I wouldn't be showering before attending the event I traveled there for. I was abruptly awoken by voices of staff in my room. I jumped out of bed to find no one in the room. The voices started again and that's when I found one of their radios underneath my bed! A terrifying way to wake up. Regardless of why the septic tank went out, guests of The Inn at Gig Harbor should not be financially responsible for a stay that could not provide something as basic and required as running water. As well as given the option to speak with a manager. To add insult to injury, after I returned home I found a Google review approximately 2 months ago from a guest(Kim K) that reported to have no running water AND no power. Clearly this is not a one-time occurrence, but a problem with this hotel. I also received a text from the hotel at 7:49 p.m. on the day I left, advising that the water was now back on. That is almost 24 hours with no water for the guests. I was in awe at the architecture and absolutely loved the Alice room. Absolutely charming inn and the location was ideal for us. Lots of restaurants to walk to, street parking was easy and plentiful, and close enough to Mt Rainier and the Olympic National Park.
