Dinned here on August 24th, we were walking on Rue-Notre Dame and came across this restaurant. We were seated immediately and got to choose where we sat. There were only a few people inside but it was early lunch so understandable.
We ordered the Truffle Mac & Cheese, Chicken & Waffles and Indian Butter Chicken Tacos (2)
Everything was delicious. I was hesitant to try the tacos because everyone makes their butter chicken differently but I was pleasantly surprised. The Mac & Cheese I got as a side dish and could have just ate that by itself.
The music was nice, the seats were comfy and the atmosphere was cozy and chic. They did bring me the wrong order at one point but quickly rectified it!

I went here for an early dinner on a Saturday night. The place wasn’t too busy. I ordered the tartare and my friends got the fried chicken, Mac and cheese, and oysters. The service was excellent ! It recently changed ownership after about a decade of the same guy running it. Apparently he was a well-known chef, but he wanted to retire to a farm. So a father and son bought it and now it has new life. The father (Sal) is the man in my review who is super nice and welcoming!
Food was great! You can’t really go wrong with some southern classics like fried chicken, pulled pork tacos, ribs. Loads of flavour and good quality. Fun little ambiance and I’m sure the outdoor terasse in the summer is a great addition.

This restaurant used to be amazing, all the food was fresh and tasty. We recently went and the food quality was not up to the standard it used to be. The service was great though, it was only one woman working the whole restaurant… cooking and serving. All the food was pre-made and it was heated up so it didn’t taste fresh at all. I ordered the Nachos which were really good and the fried chicken tacos. The tacos were on a toasted soft shell so when I tried to eat it, it fell apart like a cracker. She ended up switching it out for a soft shell not toasted but the chicken tasted like rubber. The new owners need to figure out a way to have the same quality as before.

At first after reading a few of the reviews , I was quite excited to try this restaurant!! However, I must say that I left Diablos very disappointed and had urgent need to brush my teeth. Great time at McKibbin’s! You must check out Monday Comedy (MTL Comedy Club) also on Monday night at McKibbin’s. It was great to enjoy great food and comedy on the same night.
We ordered the 1/2 McKibbin’s burger, substituted with salad instead of chips and the Quincy’s Quesadillas (roasted veggies). The Raspberry Mojito mocktail was a refreshing treat. Both tasted awesome. When we visit Montreal again will come back to McKibbin’s.

So I have come to Mckibbins twice this trip. Once to support Bar Star and then tonight.
Saturday night was amazing and the service was top notch.
I went in tonight to grab a bite to eat, and when I got the late night menu it said that 6 wings were 12 dollars according to the menu and inlcuded fries from what i read at no extra. I was charged 16 dollars for the wings that come with fries, a carrot and two small celery sticks and just over 10 for 2 pops.
Getting charged a different price than menu price is extremely annoying. I tipped because 1. It's what you do for the servers and cook, and 2 because of the service on Saturday. But please correct your prices rather than surprising customers were a 4 dollar extra charge which came as a surprise since I thought I was gonna spend 20 instead of 30.
Edit: Additionally the late night wings are small, while for their size they have a decent amount of meat, for how much I paid that wasn't worth the price.

November 17th 2025 around 6:30 ish - worst service I’ve ever received from a bartender. Every time we asked him something, it felt as if WE were bothering him. Meanwhile he spent his time talking and flirting with his friends.
Despite all of this, we still tipped 15% and he had the audacity to just leave without acknowledgement; not even a grin, nothing. I’m not sure if it’s because we weren’t white, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend. We went here for lunch on a Saturday and the place was busy.
We started off with the nachos which were really good, everyone dug in the tasty nachos before I could take a picture.
Our table also ordered the fish and chips, salmon and braised beef. Everything was delicious and well cooked. For the salmon, I wish they would’ve put more of that delicious dill sauce on the plate, but the dish was great.
We had to ask twice to get some glasses of water, but other than that everything was great and we had good service from our waitress.
On a side note for anyone with allergies to fish: the burger patties and some other grilled things are cooked on the same grill as the fish. Our waitress was kind and thoughtful to explain this to us.

First time going to Le petit Seoul, though I have traveled to South Korea and have been eating Korean soups for 15+ years. The best Korean restaurant in Canada is Han Corea in Calgary, which I use for comparison.
First of all, love how the waitress was welcoming and offered us off-menu items. We were told that the restaurant was more catered to westerners so there were many dishes that they don’t have such as gamjatang (pork bone soup).
Chef is Korean so that’s a plus.
My soondubu jjigae was very good. Presentation and taste up to my standards.
I wish they served with traditional spoons instead of westerner spoons. Same thing with the pitcher of water.

My sister and I were looking for a comfort spot that wasn’t too far away from our hotel. We found this cute little Korean spot with authentic dishes.
We ordered the following:

I cannot say enough about Omma’s cooking. Hands down the best Korean food I’ve ever had. God forbid, if I ever found myself on death row, I would ask for her cooking to soothe me in my final moments.
The tubu tuigim was perfectly crisp on the outside and incredibly moist on the inside. The bibimbap had the freshest of ingredients that harmoniously mixed together to create a mouthwatering experience of a lifetime. I had never heard a stone bowl sizzle that hot before. Campo was a nice discovery in the downtown area. The price for a table d’hôte, which includes appetizers to share, a full course of chicken and ribs along with all you can eat sides and desserts is hard to beat.

Superbe soirée passée chez Cafeden, restaurant vietnamien aux accents modernes, tant à l’intérieur que dans l’assiette.
Nous avons pas mal essayé tous les plats sauf les soupes.
Nous vous recommandons particulièrement 1) le tofu soyeux : rares sont les endroits qui font aussi bien en tofu assaisonné 2) les banh bao : parfaite combinaison entre la pâte moelleuse du bao avec l’effiloché à l’intérieur 3) la salade de papaye verte : classique, mais particulièrement bonne chez Cafeden.
Les autres plats étaient tous aussi très bons. Seule exception, les calmars frits, pas mauvais mais très similaires à du congelé qu’on ferait à la maison. Le seul plat un peu plus faible (critique constructive).
Service supérieur à la moyenne, les plats sont servis à mesure qu’ils sortent de la cuisine. Service très professionnel, juste milieu entre l’attention et l’effacement, juste parfait.
Atmosphère intérieure feutrée, animation vidéo en décoration, musique d’ambiance agréable.

Nous y allons régulièrement et nous avons toujours une superbe expérience mais la semaine dernière c'était moyen sur le service. D'habitude c'est super. Suite à nos commentaires dans le sondage le lendemain, le gestionnaire a pris la peine de nous rappeler pour savoir ce qui n'avait pas bien été pour le dire à ses employés concernés. Très bon service et suivi pour le coup.
La cage à Boucherville, je trouve est un des meilleurs de la franchise. Pourquoi ? car on a la chance d'avoir le siège social à côté et ils testent souvent les nouveaux plats régulièrement avant d'aller dans d'autres cages.
On est loin de ce que je connaissais dans les années 2000/2010. La carte a été rajeunie et les plats sont un peu plus sophistiqués et très bon pour la plupart.

This is one of those feel good restaurants. It is a no frills restaurant but the food is limited (chicken n ribs) but is spectacular. Most of the business is take out but we were a group of 8 and one of the first tables since covid. Service was friendly.
