I think stuff changes, cause it's an actual home but I'd say this is better than most hotels in the city below luxury grade. The only difference is it isn't a restaurant, you can't order stuff. I'd say just eat what they eat, it's great. That's what I did. The view (see pics of evening) is of the town, and the wafting scent of burning incense is heady. The hosts, both doctors, are good folk. Their deck is an amazing place to work. And their rooms are the best ever that I have seen in a homestay. And I'm not counting rich folks BnBs in Delhi. I'm taking about a place minus pollution and the ability to lilt you to sleep, with comfort of airy rooms and some decently middling views. There's value to that. Who it might be for: Guests who like to stay in and work, or go out into town and are looking to wind down in the evenings. Who it may not be for: People who wanna be in a room with a view of snowcapped peaks etc. People who wanna be in the town centre. Though I will say it's fairly easy to get to and takes about 20 minutes, no exaggeration, with cabs available all day for 100rupees a seat or 300 rupees 'reserve'. Currently 2500 INR plus 200 for lunch and 300 for dinner. Better than all hotels that charge between 1500 and 7000 INR in Gangtok.

We were given good service from NJP to Ganktok and also in this hotel but when we visited north sikkim (Lachen and Lachung ) we were shocked and devastated to see the hotel that were provided to us . Over the whatsapp we were shown good rooms but in reality we got something else as it was not even a hotel. Insects , Electrocuted Tap, Broken doors , Dirty bed sheets and what not . The food that was provided was also pathetic it was not edible . The owner of this Snow view hotel is Mitthu (another fraud) accomplice of Joy (travel agent). He purposely sent us in local bus to NJP on the very last day as we were promised A.C bus. Guys if you want to visit Sikkim DO NOT BOOK your trip through any agent or through Hotel. This Mithhu and Joy ruined our north Sikkim trip as we were promised many more things but none was provided .
