The carpet was sticky and walking around barefoot in the room caused the soles of my feet to turn a bit dark and need cleaning - so bring slippers. There are bright lights outside the rooms that shine in the window at night because the curtains do not close enough to block them out. I ate at the restaurant for one meal, it was okay but not worth returning to try anything else as I felt the quality was low. Also, I imagine because the seal around the door was non-existent, I was woken a few times in the night by people passing by having conversations as I could hear them clear as day. If you don't plan to spend much time in the room or don't mind an outdated room, then this might be the perfect place for you to stay. I lost my diamond gold earring on a Saturday night. The manager (I think his name was Paul) at the pool area was super helpful and called in for staff to come and help. A wonderful young girl dove and found the earring but it was a team effort. The location of this hotel is beautiful. Outside the crazy city but yet close enough to travel to if needed. We had a funeral to attend in Cypress and it was not far nor heavy traffic to reach on a Saturday. *why I wasn’t thinking straight and took all my jewelry off but forgot about the earrings. The breakfast was delicious and lots to choose from, we had the same waiter Juan both mornings and he was super attentive. We got the buffet but they have a great menu to order from as well. They also have a nice bar with small bites to choose from. I couldn’t be more thankful for the helpful and attentive staff from the moment we arrived at check in, room service staff, poolside staff and dining staff.
