It had been years since I visited. A friend of mine was not sure if she had been there. The employees are very friendly and courteous. I was ready to taste the wonderful food. She on the other hand has a sweet tooth. We talked for hours without interruption. We felt at ease enjoying our snack. The baklava cheese cake is like people say " It's to die for". Her first time tasting the baklava, I loved it. It's one of my reasons for choosing to dine there. We will definitely be coming back in order to try other delicacies.

We had the Hercules plate, gyro sandwich side greek salad,and hummus with pita bread....all was great, the lemon potatoes with any meal are a must try. Also we were so full that we didn't get to try the sweets even though I really wanted to. Added bonus they have the sonic ice iykyk. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Houston.

5 stars isn't enough it deserves 10 stars. The staff is extremely friendly as it was our first time. They answered our questions and gave us their favorites. My husband and I literally tried as much as we could. The flavors are fresh and delicious. The spicy humus is spicy and full of flavors. I could go on and on about the food and flavors.

My husband and I were in town from Atlanta and stopped in as first timers. This place is amazing!!! The minute you walk in you’re greeted by smiling staff and an incredible spread of beautiful food. (It’s cafeteria style but think extremely high-end quality!!).

Good, quick meal. HUGE portions, lots of vegetarian options. I enjoyed the sautéed vegetables and the hummus. The fresh bread was also a huge plus. One thing, however, was the cauliflower. Wanted Med food, was not disappointed!
The service was very friendly and quick. I had an entree plate with saffron chicken as the main dish. It was hot, juicy and fresh. Delicious. The pita bread was piping hot, right out of the oven.
The pesto pasta with black olives was also delicious. I also had something I had never seen before: mashed potatoes, fried in a bread crumb crust, with cream cheese in the center! It tasted just like it sounds. Good, not great.
The taboulet was OK. Nothing special, a little bland. Needed more lemon juice.

We were downtown at MDA for my sons treatment. Before we went in we asked him what he wanted for lunch and he looked at maps and picked this place. I was not thrilled because its not too hard to get bad Mediterranean food. I didn't say anything because what he wants he gets on these days.
I am glad I didn't fuss. The staff was great and helpful. The food was reasonably priced. They allowed my son to try a few samples so he could find something he would like which help a lot when you are on chemo and it alters your sense of taste.
The 3 of us ended up with 3 different options. We tried things from each other plates an there was nothing bad on anyone's plate it was all delicious.
I would definitely recommend giving it a shot!

They did nothing wrong (5 star review) but I personally didn't enjoy it. As you can see by the photos I tried everything. I really wanted to like it all but I didn't. Each dish was slightly off. Maybe that was the point and everyone else gets it while my wife and I are missing the punchline. The environment is great... The wait staff were amazing and tentative. The best items on the menu were the dessert items. I think the Greek donuts could be fixed with a small ramekin of honey and maybe if they added mint. We ate everything but did it more because it was beautiful dishes that clearly had love in them (very complex) but, I won't be returning :(.

This is definitely a hidden gem in Rice Village. From the moment you walk in until the moment you leave this place has a super chill vibe. The service is just right for this little Greek restaurant. The food is outstanding. I personally had the daily fish selection and it was very good. The fish was very flavorful, fresh, and very well spiced. First time eating here and it was quite a surprise as the atmosphere was very nice but since the weather was beautiful, we sat outside and the food was delicious. We ordered a single gyro platter and chicken soulvanki over vegetables and everything was well seasoned and packed with fresh natural flavors and the desserts were also very good. This place is to die for. My husband and I were looking for a spot in the area that was unique and boy did we find it. The staff was incredibly welcoming and polite, they made us feel very welcomed - the food and drinks were on another level. Huge wine selection and the sangria was delightful. I celebrated my Engagement Brunch here at Ouzo Bay on July 31st, and when I say that the experience was absolutely extraordinary … it is an understatement!
From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted with patience, kindness, and an overall willingness to accommodate my needs in a way that no one else gave me. From the hostess to upper management, everyone was professional, well trained, and wonderfully sweet. I went to other restaurants and no one was willing to work with me as sweetly and easily as here. The manager, Ryan, was my first point of contact and made everything so easy I was almost in disbelief.
The entire event went so beautifully, and that I know I can attest to the staff, so my sincerest thank you for all that you guys did for me. I never felt that I was rushed while spending time with all my friends and loved ones; they knew when to be present and when to be reserved. There is a delicate balance necessary for events like these, and they absolutely mastered it, with grace and elegance. Everyone was always well taken care of and assisted in a timely manner.
The food was divine, plated beautifully, and came out promptly for all 18 guests with no complications whatsoever. Our waiter was seraphic in his every manner of customer service, took such care in cutting my custom made cake as well as packaging it up for me. My sincerest thank you to you for that.

Bad music selection aside, the food and the service really shine here. The eggplant and zucchini chips were fried perfectly and paired well with the dill dip. This restaurant is absolutely beautiful! The food was amazing! We ordered the grilled calimari appetizer to share. For entress we had the langostinos, scallops and the African prawns. Everything we ate was incredible. Only downside was we were sat by the bar and the bar is crazy packed on Friday nights. My father does have slight mobility issues so it made it a little difficult for him to go to the restroom. The restaurant does have a pretty loud and lively atmosphere. This place was FIVE STARS all around!! Everything, I mean everything was FIVE STARS. Every dish was so fresh, perfectly seasoned and delicious! We ordered the turbot fish that was actually flown in from Spain, which was superbly prepared and served with a delish creamy lemony sauce with capers. Look at my pictures to see all the yumminess! This place was my favorite for a long time. I visited them yesterday while on a trip to Houston and bought variety of house brand bakery and sweets. Nothing tasted good and it used to. Quality is down for aome reason. For example we bought their cheese and zaatar pies, it had no taste. Eclair didn’t taste good, in house spice mix not as expected.

They changed the naan recipe to whole wheat flour or something but it’s now super chewy and doesn’t look like anything like it does before. Used to be white and soft. Compare the latest photos to the older ones and its a night and day difference.
The baba ganoush was SUPER bitter and couldn’t take a second bite from it.
Im glad the fried chicken hasn’t lost its charm, still amazing with plenty of rice. Would order that every-time with no hesitation.

I've been to Hamsa three times and every time the food always hits. This time I finally took photos of the food we ordered. I realized that they change out a few menu items every year, but the quality of the items staying still remain delicious. The lamb hummus is so rich and pairs so well with pita bread, and the octopus is the most tender bite I've had at a restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting. Our server Michelle was fantastic — friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the evening. The floor manager Jordan Hooks was also incredibly accommodating and made us feel truly welcome.
We started with the lamb hummus, amba pickled vegetables, and harissa carrots — all bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The pita bread, fresh and warm right out of the oven, was some of the best I’ve had anywhere.
For mains, the chicken thigh skewer was juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned, while the lamb Lachmagun was absolutely excellent — rich, savory, and full of depth.

I don't usually write reviews, but this is definitely my family's new favorite restaurant. I just got back from Israel a couple of weeks ago, and this is definitely authentic Israeli food. Came here based on the future restaurant week menu recommendation and decided to try it out. I'm a fan on middle eastern food and far and was happy with what we got. My wife got a 3 course meal pair and had hummus, shakshuka, and a cake (forgot the name). I ordered a falafel and chicken schwarma plate. For me the, falafel was excellent. It's been a while since I've had good falafel and I may come back in the future just for the sandwich. My chicken schwarma was good but not great. With they way they plated it there was hummus under the schwarma and it kinda mixed a bit (unclear if intentional or unintentional) and it took sway from the flavor. My wife very much liked the hummus (splitting hairs on this but there was a bit to much Tahini for me) and she enjoyed the shakshuka.
We will come back and try a bit of variety before making a final decision.

I ordered the half chicken online to-go and was told they only had 1/4 chicken left, but they could start the half if I really wanted it, it would just take an extra 30 minutes. Understandable and as I wanted the half chicken, I opted to wait. Pretty good decision because the rotisserie chicken was yummy. The skin was nicely crispy (although slightly missing on my leg piece) and the meat was juicy. It could have had a little more seasoning to amp up the flavor, it tasted like a juicy chicken but not necessarily like anything unique, and I do feel it was priced a little high for what you get… but it’s not the worst thing.
I had the hummus on the side that was very creamy and I appreciated the olive oil and pine nut topping. Clearly I started chowing down before I remembered to take a picture!!

I ordered their Grk Burger with Santorini fries and it was DELICIOUS! Despite ordering our meat well done, the burger meat was so juicy! First impression, we were greeted by an interior which is well-designed, comfortably lit with natural lighting, and a soft but exquisite selection of music. I was excited when Michelin came to Texas! I have been to multiple Michelin restaurants around the world and was very interested to see how Texas compared. The price was definitely reasonable compared to other starred restaurants we have visited and the food was definitely an experience. I believe this restaurant is hugely overrated and overpriced.
The main reason for my feedback is the quality of the food. For a Michelin starred restaurant my expectation is at least good balance and execution in every dish and that was not the case.
The salad for instance was too sour. The farro and lentil polenta was too salty. The caviar addition to the appetizer seemed unnecessary - it was lost with the rest of the flavors.
Desserts were truly great. We loved them. Wine and the main courses were also great.

Who gave us an intro welcome and how the evening would unfold. Then we took the stairs to the lounge. A elevator is also an option. We spent about 8-10mins in the lounge. For a small complimentary drink and second set of drinks we ordered. They suggested and made mocktails for myself. And a nice vodka cocktail for my wife. We arrived at March right at our reservation time. So did not spend along time in the lounge. I recommend

I always feel a bit on edge going into a fine dining experience, and starting off in the lounge with a drink and snack makes you feel welcomed and at ease. This is followed up by a seamless transition to the dining room, with staff already familiar with your preferences, ready with jokes, kindness, and deep knowledge, to guide you through a wonderful dinner.

The portion sizes for the 9 course meal are LARGE - prepare to pace yourself so you don’t feel like you’re trudging through the end of the meal.
Overall, very deserving of the star, and I can’t repeat enough how wonderful the ambiance, experience, and staff were. I think the menu was well thought out, and perhaps just leaned a little hard into flavors that aren’t my favorite.

We had a wonderful experience. The food was excellent overall. Chicken was a bit dry and the foul needed other condiments to it. Lamb shank was very moist and not gamy. The Koshary was amazing. We visited this newly opened Egyptian restaurant based on a friend’s recommendation. Although the wait was long due to shortage of staff, the food was good. The waitress brought by some hummus and bread as an apology for our wait. We tried several dishes: the macarona bel bachemel, (Egyptian lasagne) the warak enab (dolmas), the molokheya, and the chicken panet platter. Everything tasted hot, fresh, and flavorful. I’ve been going to Fadis for 20 years- and honestly it never misses. Until today. I haven’t had Fadis in about 6 months- and the chicken shawarma wrap- is now a tortilla. Very doughy. Could have been a chicken burrito with pickles. Wasn’t the chicken shawarma wrap I grew up eating. Who changed the recipe?
Also ordered a cabbage salad- which is my favorite side from them- but it was cucumber and onion salad.
They had a side piece of pita as well, it wasn’t cooked fully- the dough was still dough around the edges.
I got olives as a side and they’re good-they taste like they’ve added olive oil, red pepper flakes and garlic- they’re flavorful, and a lil spicy.
I’m not one to write reviews. But for something to be so off from a staple restaurant was tragic(yes dramatic but now I’m sad and hungry)

So back on June 11 I ordered two gyro sandwiches with extra tomatoes. When I got back to my house with the order there were no tomatoes on either sandwich. I called the store asking for a refund or a credit on my account since I’ve been a long time customer. They told me the manager wasn’t in and he couldn’t give me a refund but if I came back in he could remake them. It was during rush hour and would have been a thirty minute round trip and didn’t want to get back in the car right after making said trip. He told me I could come in another day. I asked him in future instances would I be able to get a refund, he ignored me the first time I asked and began to be very dismissive of me. I re-asked the question and he said he’d check for me. He then proceeded to sit down and scroll on his phone. After he gave me my food I stood and waited for his response and he had already moved on to other duties. So I repeated the question, asking if he had checked with a manager like he said he would and he replied with “uhhhh” so I told him not to worry about it and left. What a beautiful experience it was to dine on a Friday night and enjoying mediterranean food. We picked this place randomly as we wanted to try a new place. I can truly say we were not disappointed. We got the best seat in the house next to the kitchen. Our server Brent took the time to explain the dishes and told us about off menu dishes as well. I have to tell you he knows his wine.
