When we arrived to our room, we were greeted with these lovely towel swans which was a nice surprise. We stayed in the annex building, which we actually really enjoyed. The view from the balcony was just stunning and we watched some beautiful sunsets from there. The shower was a bit small, but water temp and pressure were great. Breakfast was great and pretty similar to other hotel breakfasts we’ve had in Croatia. We also booked two massages while we were there, and they were one of the highlights for sure. Didn’t sample the restaurant during our stay as we strolled into town to sample the many options available in beautiful Hvar town. It’s a 20/25 minute walk into town where there’s something for everyone. Nearest restaurant is only 5/8 minutes walk away. The friend I traveled with was only minimally impacted, however my time in Hvar was miserable due to my stay in this hotel. After spending time in the hotel room on the night I arrived I began coughing wheezing, an headache and could not breathe out of my nose. I figured I was having a reaction to the natural flora and fauna on the island, took some allergy medicine and Sudafed and tried my best to sleep (I did not). I left the early the next morning for a day trip, and throughout the day my symptoms began to improve. I figured, my allergy meds must have started kicking in. But, when I returned to the hotel room that evening within about 10 minutes the symptoms started up again, and for some reason were way worse the second night. Interestingly my friend started experiencing similar (less severe) symptoms the second night as well. At this point I knew I was allergic to something in this hotel room. I put on an N95 mask and did my best to try and get some sleep (again I did not sleep) The next morning I started looking closely around the room to see if I could find whatever was making me sick. I found significant water damage in two spots on the ceiling and what I am fairly certain was black mold (photos below). I went to the front desk immediately explained I have asthma and have been having difficulty breathing in the hotel room and showed them pictures of the mold. The said they could give us another room in a few hours. They asked me to pack up my room quickly so they could get the room ready for the next guest. I was pretty surprised and a little disturbed the hotel would put guests in a room where they knew there was a mold problem and made a current guest sick, Makes me wonder if they knew about the mold when my friend and I checked in…. We moved into to the new room, which for the most part was an improvement, but there was still black mold growing in the shower. I do appreciate that they moved us but honestly the overall experience was extremely disappointing for a 4 star hotel. I was sick the entire time I was in Hvar because of this hotel room. When we asked about a potential partial refund they told us no because they had given us two room “upgrades”. The first upgrade was to a room with water damage and black mold growing on/in the ceiling! The second “ upgrade “ was to move us to a room with less mold.

We were disappointed for the price paid. Our plunge pool was situated on the back deck vs front patio with absolutely no view. Our room was listed as a “panoramic” view which we paid more for, but could not see the sea from our balcony. The food at the main restaurant was just ok and service was incredibly slow. We loved the beach bar - that was the highlight of the resort. We were a couple with no kids and found this to be more of a family kid-friendly resort. We wish one of the 2 pools was adults only. I would not recommend for a couple. The beach chairs were so far from the actual hotel- across a busy street and a 10min walk. Not what we expected. I would not return ,and not recommend a panoramic room or for couples without kids.

It started from the moment we wanted to check in. There was nobody at the reception and after finding a sleepy employee I mentioned that I had a reservation. A reservation?? he replied.....for sleeping??? After realizing that in fact I was at the right place I was told that we were expected earlier in the day (despite several email communications) and that they were worried for us (nobody called or emailed) and thought that we were not coming. The room is spacious but marred with a weird layout where majority of the space is unnecessarily reserved for the 2 chairs and a small table forming a foyer and only a small portion is left for the bed. You cannot adjust the AC (5 star resort) and the light controls are a mess. There was no explanation as to what is available in the resort - they just tell you to download their app. Breakfast staff is the one bright spot - super nice and helpful, however breakfast is a sad affair where you will need to order 10 dishes to have sufficient amount of food- very unusual for a standard and elaborate breakfast buffets at other croatian hotels. The "heated pools" in the common area and in our room have lukewarm water making for an unpleasant experience. Once at the pool, uninterested staff never came to take drink orders leaving folks to go inside to hotel and look for someone to help them. Finally - they advertise cool events included in the price like wine and olive oil tasting but these are only for a handful of people requiring reservations which was not advertised. In any case, poor management results in mediocre service leaving a lot to be desired. Stay at nearby cheaper hotels in Stari Grad and Hvar and avoid this one.

Family suite at 2,000€ per nigh in post season was not what you would expect from a 5* hotel. Room design and the quality of the furnishing is actually quite good. Room layout is not great though. Not nearly enough cabinet space to store the clothes. There is no enough space to place the toiletries or even the towels. View of one of the rooms is directly on the road and of course you can hear every vehicle passing by. For some reason, the terrace has 8 chairs grouped in sets of two with a small table. They all get wet when it rains. And it goes down from here. All lights will turned off after 20 minutes and only way to turn them on was if you get to the entrance area where the motion detector will activate them again. This is impossible though if you are in the washroom because it is COMPLETELY black with no window and no way to find the lock. This got fixed in the 2nd attempt but one thing that is hard to believe that the suite has ONE single toilet and one single shower. No walk-ins either. In a 5* hotel ??? Some things were very good though. Staff and service were great and the whole resort was very nice and well maintained. Breakfast was really excellent even though the forgot our order once. Beach is also quite good and service there was great. Wooden bikes look great on the photos but trust me, you won't ride those anywhere. It was a last minute pick so my overall experience was good, but it is unlikely I will be back again.

They gave us a room that had a broken window that faced directly into a wall so we had no natural light in the room. No AC. We were provided with a tiny dirty fan. However the filth of the bathroom, the broken windows, and the clear fact that they put us in the first room knowing it was a disgrace is not something I can forgive. It was clear they were just trying to scam money out of their guests. Do not go to this hotel.
