They dropped off towels on the sink. 5) After finding out from another guest that the pool was actually open the water park was just shut down we were getting put suites on when we noticed the cockroach crawling down out wall! We found a shoes and old nuggets under the bunk, pubs in the shower and toothpaste on the counter. The new outdoor pool area was a favorite for sure! We enjoyed the hot tub and pool each day. The indoor pool area wasn't our favorite but it's a nice option. Our son enjoyed the game room. The rooms were generally clean (our 15 year old basically had his own little unit attached to ours so that was cool and unexpected). I didn't love the carpet, especially with the whirlpool tubs in the rooms. And there are definitely things that could use updating, but all things considered, we were happy with the size and cleanliness. Our biggest complaint would be the size of the showers. The unit had two bathrooms (and our son's had another, plus an additional toilet). There was no lack of place to use the restroom. But the showers are so small. No good way to shave legs without touching the walls. My husband is a big man (250 pound bodybuilder) so it was uncomfortable for him to move. Given the size of the units, it seems that space could have been used a little differently to make for a more comfortable bathroom experience. All that being said, we did enjoy the whirlpool tub. They claim to have a rec room an game amenities, which is only a room with old style games that don't work half the time in a not so big room. The grills they advertise for use are basic grills like the ones you see at lakes in arkansas that are charcoal an not very clean an there's only like 6 or 8 for 100s of guests to be able to use, an sit in the hot sun right by the parking areas with no benches or tables around. Basically its an old people resort. I enjoyed my stay but would have been nice to be able to do more at the resort you spend so much money to stay in.

It happened to us twice where the knob just sits and doesn't spin so it never gets to the end of the cycle until you physically turn it. The other room we had ended up getting ants showing up in the kitchen and the faucet handle for the shower didn't properly function so they had some fun taking showers. It is in a good location and there wasn't any sort of deal breaker issues that popped up. The staff I did interact with were friendly and professional. It's a fine place to stay, we were part of the Capital Vacations Discover program they have and used up our remaining points for this trip. In regards to the whole Capital Vacations thing: If you do Capital then this place is as good as any from what I can tell. It had a nice lake view, was clean, and in a quiet area. Though the units were advertised as lakeside and I paid a little bit more for that it really wasn't lakeside property because there were two roads and another condo row in front of the lake. It did have a nice views though over that. The condo needed some repairs as it was not aging well in some parts. The bathroom lamp flickered for a bit every time you turn it on like a strobe light. We called maintenance but they never came when they said they'd be out in a few hours. It was also very odd that we found a personal framed family photo in the living room and there was someone's personal packages stored in the closet. It felt a little odd because it was like we were staying in someone's home. We booked through a hotel website. I realize the condos most likely have owners but it was just a little strange to have all the personal items around a condo that's being listed on hotel websites like it's a regular hotel stay. I would have expected it if I would have rented from Airbnb or VRBO.

For a 3 bedroom, we were surprised that forks were missing and we had enough silverware for 1 meal at a time, if we had more people it wouldn't have been enough. Carpet was a bit worn with visible stains. I would probably have given 5 stars except we saw a spider in upstairs bathroom that was or resembled a brown recluse and called to asked maintenence for glue traps or caulk to seal under the cabinet where it ran to but no response in over 30 hours so we blocked off that bathroom for last two nights and didn't let kids use it.

At first, we weren't exactly sure what we had gotten into when we pulled up and we were hoping we hadn't made a poor choice; but as soon as we opened the door we knew we made the right one. It felt like home right off the bat. The whole week we stayed we always looked forward to coming back to the B&B because it felt like we were coming home every time. There were other people staying there but it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves haha. It's also in the perfect location because it's close to everything but secluded at the same time. The breakfast was surprisingly delicious and unique. Compliments to the chef for consistently providing a delicious and unique meal every morning. Our servers always seemed eager to greet and serve us in the morning. We got to make a few friends during that time of day. We stayed in the congressional room and the pictures online don't serve it justice. The room is beautiful and large. The balcony is big enough to fit several people and you have your own private bathroom. It was very clean, peaceful, and stylish. Also, we got to enjoy the quiet sounds of nature from the balcony and watch the herd of deer pass by on the daily. The price alone is a good enough reason to stay here, but what you get for your money is just unheard of. You cannot and will not find a place as perfect as this!
