My kids loved it. But, everything else was not great. It started by us not knowing where to even go for check in. We center what we thought was the right building for there to be a sign to go to another building, which we wouldn't know that never having been there before. It was gross looking. The beds were super uncomfortable and the blankets were scrappy and gross. Location wasn't great because it was further away from. The downtown part than was anticipated. After reading a bunch I was getting nervous but our stay was actually very nice. The front desk was super informative at check in. Our room was on the first floor so I can only speak for that floor. The carpet was out of date and there were some scuff makes on the wall and some small cosmetic cracks but that's really all in terms of "bad". The room smelled clean and the bathroom and whirlpool clearly just cleaned. We didn't use the pool but did go look at it. It all seemed rather fine but clearly could use some fresh paint at the bottom of the kids pool but nothing really stood out beside the broken slide that was marked off to not use. I didn't see this mentioned in the reviews but they do have a very small arcade room in the pool area which I thought was a nice touch but there isn't much in terms of games and it's shared with what I assume was a breakfast area at one point and would suggest making that space a whole arcade. The Waterpark area had a slide that was broken, there was even caution tape placed on it, however it was still on and kids were still using it. At this point, I just wanted a clean counter to set my stuff down on so I could wash my face. I asked the (very nice!) front desk girl if she could give us an empty room just to use the bathroom facilities before we went back to our tree house for the night. She said she would ask her supervisor and would call us back in 10 minutes (no call back.) I went back to the front desk to ask again and she said to go the back building behind the tree house climbing and pool area and it should be open. I walked back there and it was dark and the gate was locked (photo attached.) She also said to come back in the morning to speak to the supervisor when I asked for a partial refund since my 78 year old mom had to pee in a plastic bag in the room because there was no working toilet. We went back the next am and surprise, no supervisor. The nice gal wrote down a website for us to email which we did and no response. I feel very bad for the staff who work there. If the management treats their customers this way, I can't imagine how poorly they treat these hard working staff members. It is clear this corporation put all it's money into the Land of Natura water park, but you think with the $25 daily parking they charge at the water park, they could take care of their hotel that shares their name. I am sure I will get some canned response to this review below but take it from me, these people do not truly care about your experience and I will tell all of my local friends not to step foot in this place (not even wearing flip flops----it's GROSS!!!!!)

On the plus side, the train ride was a neat experience. The Lammas came right up to you wanting carrots (you can buy feed.) The parrot experience was fun for the whole family too. Feeding the giraffe was awesome. Climbing the overlook tower was scary, but beautiful at the top.
