This little door is the only real reason I keep coming back to visit! Its just so cute!!!! There are so many things to explore there like an excellent wooden playground for children, multiple sports areas, bathrooms, a small cafe shop. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The beach itself is nice, but instead of sand its mostly pebbles and rocks. The shore isn't very child friendly as my toddler loves to play in the sand at the beach. There is a great boardwalk to stroll the lakeshore and enjoy the view. There is a dog park and also a lifeguard station, which is excellent and fully manned till sunset in the summer months. More recently was there and when we were coming back at sunset they had a huge screen set up under the stars playing the cartoon movie sing! It was an amazing experience for the kids to enjoy a movie outdoors and have dinner. Right on the street there is a tim hortons, shoppers drugmart and different food places to grab snacks. 10/10 would recommend.
