We bought Wynns mostly in Melbourne for a while but I didn't know the building is for real. I was surprised when we first visited as this vineyard reminds me a lot about Tuscany. After about 5 -7 minutes in total 3 testing, she done as 1 bigger group entered (we were only 2 people there first before them, which is very different from 30-45 minutes in other wineries we had for at least 6-8 types of wines). She didn't look at me at all when communicating with my hubby (guess my hubby is an Oi Oi Oi and I am Asian and she might think I don't know about wine or worthless for her customer service). Haha, I actually was the one who taste the wine more than my hubby and decided what to buy. We bought at least 6 bottles (various types) from every each other wineries in Coonawarra already before this. Anyway, we ended up with 1 bottle as I still want to support the local businesses but felt pretty strange as people there in Coonawarra (restaurant/wineries/shop) are very friendly, good sense of humour and hospitality. We show our respect and good manners back to every one as well along with support the local businesses. We will come back to Penola soon but don't think we want to visit this company again or to recommend to anyone.

We have visited so most of the wineries in the Coonawarra and you are actually a poor reflection of how amazing both the smaller boutique and larger corporate wineries are in that region. Yesterday, Saturday, I walked into Leconfield Coonawarra cellar door for a wine tasting with the intention of purchasing wines I liked. On entry, there was a customer service lady serving 3-4 people in the wine tasting area,which was reasonably spacious. When I walked in, I expected to be acknowledged by her, yet, it was as if I was invisible. She neither looked at me, nor acknowledged my presence. I politely waited a few minutes directly behind the people she was serving, so I was in her line of sight, then still not being acknowledged, I moved up to the service area and again waited for this lady to finish with her current guests and then move onto me. I waited a further 4 minutes more, while she continued engaging with these others, all the while totally ignoring my presence. It was as if I didn't exist or was wearing invisible paint! Finally, I had had enough and walked out, half expecting to be called back, apologised to .... yet nothing! During our stay in The Coonawarra, we spent considerable money with quite a number of wineries. Yet despite my good intentions to do the same at Leconfield, this totally unacceptable customer service I experienced there made it impossible. As such, I could definitely not recommend a cellar door experience, regardless of how nice their wines are.

Our crew bought 8 cartons all up and I would have given 5 stars except for the fact that as I now live in Queensland I have to have the wine posted - and this was the only winery of the 8 I visited that I had to pay postage (on the 2 cartons I purchased). Every other winery had free freight if you bought 1 carton. Our host was lovely and very knowledgeable.
