日本の庭園そのもので、癒やされます。

11月の中旬に行きましたが、紅葉が枯れかけていたのが残念でした。もう少し早めの時期か、花が咲く季節に行くともっと楽しめそうだと思いました。和菓子がいただけるカフェや和小物が売られているお店もあります。本格的な庭園で、京都にいるような気分になりました。日本が恋しくなった時におすすめです。

本格的な日本庭園で日本にいるかのような錯覚に陥る程の完成度です。 日本からの旅行であっても是非訪れるべき場所です。 合わせて中華街の「オレゴン日系レガシーセンター」にも訪問することをおすすめします。 第二次世界大戦中に強制収容されたポートランド在住の日系人の過去を知ることで、同じ都市で日本が憎悪の対象であった過去と世界に認められる現在の対比ができ、異なった角度から楽しめると思います。

22年前に行きました。金沢の兼六園や竜安寺の石庭や日本の庭園の池などを模した庭造りなどとてもよく出来ている。日本から取り寄せた植木も多い。赤松など素晴らしい。

手入れもしっかりされていて、非常にきれい。 枯山水庭園があるが、枯れ葉や木のクズが落ちていて趣きが台無し。 やはりこの辺は外人の感性なのだろう。観て回る面積の割には値段が高い。

5月末のオープン初日に訪れました。朝早かったのとまだハイシーズンでなかったためか空いていました。まだ蕾が多かったですがこれが満開なら感動的でしょう。訪れる価値のある場所です。

たくさんの種類のバラが咲いていて良い香りでリラックスできます。

様々なバラが見られる。それほど広大ではないので30分程度で全部まわれる。

美しいです。

3月にいきました。薔薇は咲いていませんでしたが、ここからのポートランドの街の眺めはすばらしく、遠く富士山に似たフッド山に雪が積もった美しい姿が見えました。

時期がもう過ぎたのか、だいぶくたびれたバラが多かった。 タイミングがどんぴしゃりなら、間違いなく感動すると思う。

大部分が施工中のため、ビートルズ以外は現代美術を中心とした作品が1部屋数十点あるだけで、よく分かりませんでした。ただの個人美術館のような適当さ。ビートルズに興味なければ20ドル払って見る価値はないと思う。

I've heard abour tasting reaturants that are overtly snobby and have tiny portions of food for their price. Le Pigeon blew everything out of the water. The food was delicious, and the wine paring (which is an extra fee) was incredible. We had five courses and left feeling full by the end. I was also impressed by the vegetarian and non-alcoholic pairing selection one of my tablemates had. Their food was equally as well made as my omnivore selection and their NA drinks were delicious. The big roller coaster is so smooth and exciting but not painful like some can be. The smller Rollercoaster definitely not the same quality in build. We were surprised about the gocarts. I think this was our 4th room in Escape Games PDX and we consistently find satisfyingly tricky puzzles without feeling demoralized by insanely hard clues. Whether you’re the logician, math wiz, pattern master, spatial genius, leader, assistant or word nerd there will be a puzzle just for you and you WILL contribute to the group.
