If I could give zero stars, I certainly would. I received a bill for $3.60 on August 10 and I paid by check the same day and stuck it in the mail. Today, which is September 5th, I received a “late notice unpaid toll invoice.” This seems ridiculous and extremely poor accounting by the “BreezeBy@Port of Hood River” office. I’ve called and left my number for a call back. After reading several reviews, I’m not sure I’ll ever hear from their office. Waiting a few more days to see what happens before I drive to Hood River and try to discuss this in person. Very frustrating for a simple trip across the bridge and a quick mail in of the initial payment.
This is an update to my earlier review. I received a call from a very helpful person who told me that yes indeed they did receive my check. However, they cannot cash the check unless it is for the exact amount I had mistakenly written the check for $3.60 and the toll was for $3.50 Therefore, my check sat in limbo until time was up, and I received a late notice. Fortunately, they had a copy of the check and will be returning it to me. I did pay the $3.50 online using a credit card. The receipt was sent via email and the $25 late fee was waived. Very helpful talking to someone to explain the whole process to me. During the conversation, I also found out that the Porta River pass works for the Bridge of the Gods. Might be something I’ll look into since I cross that bridge several times a year.
Overall, it was refreshing to talk to someone that was both very thorough in their explanation and could help solve the issue. Well done whoever that was!! Thank you.

Crossed the bridge coming from the north late at night not knowing if it was open or not, ready to pay, and nobody was there. I crossed the entryway knowing I would be sent a bill and was ok to pay then. Two months later I receive a collections bill for $31.50. But should I be punished for not updating my car registration on time? Surely not by a corrupt private toll bridge that just capitalizes for years and years off people. Shame on whoever is sitting back collecting millions of dollars doing absolutely nothing but stealing money from their fellow humans and sending non-payers (with good intent to pay) to collections. Zero business ethics whatsoever. So now I'm literally forced (not to mention a ding on my credit score) to pay $31 for a simple late night crossing. Utterly awful system that punishes you for simply not receiving their bills.

Nice place to wing foil. Mostly suited for beginners. Grassy rigging area and clean bathrooms. Not much shade. The port of Hood River charges 2.75/hr parking but it’s nice being very close to launch. The annoying downside is when they’re (often) giving wave runner assisted lessons, they’re zipping in and out of the same launch as everyone else and they can be a menace. This playground exceeded our expectations!
We actually visited after snowfall and still enjoyed the features. We weren’t able to play on everything, but with our boots and jackets on, we were able to roam the large structures and even slide down a few enclosed tube slides.
The restrooms were out of order, but we didn’t need to use them. They had a portable potty available if needed.
I loved that each table, bench, or piece of the playground were adorned with plaques of those who donated or wished to donate in memory of someone. There is a real sense of community here. So much so, there is a small book library installed near the parking lot. You may donate or leave a book in it.
The whole experience brought our family joy. We watched some children riding sleds on a small hill to the left of park and it looked like so much fun.

There's a toddler section and then a bigger kid section further up the hill, and a bunch of interactive things. We had a nice stay. 30$ per night to tent camp. We had access to flush toilets and hot water sinks with soap and paper towels. showers were $0.75/3min. It was lovely and peaceful in early October, but I imagine during the prime season it could have a different vibe. The only reason I give 4 stars and not five is that the bathroom/shower facilities didn’t show that there was much maintenance, cleaning happening. While everything functioned properly I could tell that there wasn’t anyone who really took pride in the upkeep. Overall I would return. Glad a found this spot. Enough miles off the highways to be quiet. There’s a pay machine for sites. My site while river front was about 40’ up, and was $30 instead of the advertised $40. There’s just enough forest between sites for some privacy. Bathrooms clean. The river is running fast but found a pool to cold plunge in in the morning. One of our favorite campgrounds on our road trip! The sites right by the creek are absolutely beautiful. From our spot, we could walk over the larger rocks straight into the creek and enjoy the sunshine and peace while sitting on a stone. The site was spacious and felt very private.
