Really lovely place to eat and have a drink. Been here a few times since we found out the bar area is dog friendly. Food has always been really tasty and hot, with a reasonable waiting time.

First time we have visited. Thorley taverns pub at its best and very similar to the Captain Digby at Kingsgate bay. A pub and restaurant at many different levels. You will definitely be able to find somewhere to enjoy the sun during the summer. Lovely beers and a number of different bars will ensure you don't have to wait long. Yard of Ale, a classic name for a micro pub. We've been past this little gem a million time when we used to live near by however while visiting friends we decided to drop by for a pint. Great little place with indoor and out door seating. Great selection of local brews and ciders. My wife gave me a history lesson on the old building, a former undertakers building for keeping the deceased on ice. It's a very old building. So we tipped our pints in the thier honour. A less expensive pub with great service and atmosphere. I went during Broadstairs Folk Week so it was very busy and there wasn't enough seating but I still felt a great vibe and welcome. Some locals can resent the invasion of Folk Week and can try and sing above the Folk Week band which feels inhospitable especially when the publican is encouraging and joining in with this attitude and behaviour.

Felt like a little bit of a pilgrimage... apart from the whole connection with the famous sketch, we have had beers brewed by these guys at the annual food festival in Broadstairs and always been really impressed. I often call into this lively, family pub on Ramsgate High Street whenever I'm visiting the town as it has 3 lighted dartboard and a pool table for the sportsmen and women amongst us. There are DJs on Friday and Saturday nights, and everyone has a dance under the huge disco ball ! The drinks are well priced £10 a cocktail. Well presented place in a quaint location with a nice view over the harbour. Sports outside seating and a comfortable indoor environment. Homemade Soup of the Day was Tomato, Chilli and Basil, which was excellently presented and very tasty. Ridiculously slow and weak service. A simple order of two coffees took over half an hour.
Sat outside originally, but decided to move inside hoping that it would be a reminder. When it was addressed to the bar staff we were questioned what our order even was.

Popped in tonight for a beer. I think there might have been a birthday party going on. Clearly lots of locals. I thought the whole idea of the micro pub was to make everyone feel welcome. We had dinner at Harbour Inn in Folkestone, near the Old High Street, and it was a great experience. We ordered Mussels and Whitebait — both dishes were fresh, delicious, and well-prepared. The quality and portion sizes were excellent.
The restaurant/pub has a lovely ambiance; I especially liked the wooden tables and chairs that added a cosy charm. They had some tempting dessert options, but we were too full after dinner to try them — definitely something for next time!

Phenomenal! One of the best experiences in England is going to a small town local pub for fish & chips. Folkestone is certainly a small town on the English Channel. This place is what you'd hope for as an American visiting Kent. The fish and chips is next level. Probably one of the top 3 I've ever had in the entire world. It's wonderful! A very big room and bathroom.
Staff are attentive even helping carry our bags.
We were informed when booking that the hotel is located on a busy road and some traffic noise is to be expected.
Whole traffic noise was evident it did not prevent a good nights sleep with the windows open, in the morning when the road became a little busier simply closing the window reduced traffic noise allowing my wife to sleep in until 9 am.
The restaurant is excellent with generous good quality food served by very attentive staff.

First off, this place needs special recognition for the warmest of welcomes by Christina who gave the most amazing service. Although by the time we came to leave the pub was incredibly busy, she made every customer feel like they were her only ones. The pub is very clean and well presented with an obvious nautical theme. We were welcomed by a charming young lady behind the bar, who was very knowledgeable and friendly.

I drove past The Bell Inn on Sunday but didn't stop initially due to it being busy, which is a positive indication. However, I decided to visit today and I'm so glad I did. They serve Rattler on tap and offer top-notch food, including one of the best burgers my son has ever had. The service was friendly and the beer garden was lovely. Additionally, they have an adorable dog at the pub.

Great food (I had the best fish pie ever) and the quiche was home-made and great. But it was the warm welcome from the cheery and helpful barmaid/manager that made the visit. The Best Pub on the Marsh!! Brilliant in every department- the friendliest staff, a great menu with loads of choice from light-bites to substantial mains. Can recommend beef croquettes and the liver and bacon casserole. Compared to some pubs on the Marsh the prices were very reasonable.
