We found out way more expensive than other cafes in food selections on menu. Even if they've got the amazing view, seats were uncomfortable.

市の中心部にあるため、散策して方向が判らなくなってもスカイタワーが見えればオッケー。
入口はスカイシティホテルの入口を入り、右側前方にあるエスカレーターを下る。
下りきったらすぐ右にある入口を入って中へ進むとチケット売場や受付がある。
その後は指示に従ってエレベーターで上がる。
60階の展望フロアーは３６０度オークランド市内をみて回れる。
日没に合わせて行くと夜景も見れて最高です。

オークランド戦争記念博物館(オークランド博物館)は広い公園の中に位置しています。
戦争を国内外に広く伝えていくための博物館です。
とは言え、子供向けのコーナー、恐竜の骨なども展示しています。
戦争コーナーには零戦と日本兵の遺品。米国のすぴりっとなども展示。
また別料金にはなりますが、マオリ族の文化体験でハカや踊りや歌のショーも１日２回開催されています。
英語が堪能でなく困っていたら、チケット売り場の方がカタコトながら日本語で丁寧に対応してくださり、感謝しかないです。
オークランドに行く機会があったら是非、訪れることを強くお勧めします。
オークランド中心から少し離れた丘の上にある博物館です。中心地からバスまたは徒歩でも行くことが可能です。徒歩だとメインストリートの中間から後半辺りから30分くらいだったかと。いい散歩にもなります。
住んでいる事が証明できる物があれば無料で入場できますが、そうでなければ料金を支払っての入場でした。ちなみに私はオークランド図書館のカードでフリー入場できました。ただ、現在はどうなってるか分かりません。
オークランド病院の真横で、小高い丘の上にあるので景色もよく広い芝生の広場があるので気持ちがいいです。
館内はそこそこ広く見応えは十分です。NZの文化や歴史、war memorialとあるだけ第二次世界大戦に関する様々な資料に加え、剥製や骨格標本なども展示されています。写真撮影は自由なので、色々と撮影会をしつつ進んでいくとあっと言う間に時間も過ぎていきます。なかなか興味深い展示が多く楽しかったです。
何かと自然がL.O.T.Rロケ地がメイン観光になるNZなので、たまにはこういった場所も気分転換になるかと思います。
たまたまですが、長崎の原爆の日に訪れました。
タマキ（オークランド）の歴史だけでなく、第一次世界大戦に始まる戦争の歴史をニュージーランド市民の目で展示されていました。
日本の千羽鶴や日章旗・0式戦闘機の展示もあり、観光としてではない感情が込み上がった瞬間がありました。
ブリトマートからバス一本で行けますので、レジャーだけでなく是非見てみてください。
ニュージーランドならではの展示が溢れていてとても貴重な経験ができました。
１階はマオリや太平洋の島国に関すること2階は自然や火山文化など、3階は戦争に関することで、特に日本人として戦争の展示に関心を持ちました。
日本の侵攻や敗戦に関することを別の国の視点から学ぶことができました。
原爆の被害についてはよく学んできたが、落とされた経緯や理由を改めて知るべきだと強く感じました。
展示以外にもオプションでハカを見ることでき、とてもいい時間でした。
ヨーロッパの神殿の様な外観を持つ博物館。良くポストカード等にも使われている写真スポット。入場しなくても、外観を見に行くだけども楽しめる博物館。入場料はかかるが、マオリ族の文化やニュージーランドの自然等に興味がある人にはゼビオ入場して貰いたい。3階建ての博物館は、1階部分が先住民族マオリ族と、ポリネシア諸島の文化の展示がされている。2階部分ではニュージーランドの動植物と火山に関する展示がある。3階部分ではニュージーランドの視点から見た第一次世界対戦、第二次世界対戦の展示がある。特に1階部分の展示は世界最大のポリネシア文化の展示がされている。また、戦争関連の展示では、日本の零戦が一機まるまる綺麗な状態で展示されており、ここまで綺麗な零戦は世界的にも珍しく、わざわざ見に行く価値がある。オークランドを訪れた際にはぜひ寄って貰いたいスポットです。
バカダンスを観たい方にオススメ！
観光客は確か大人NZD45/人、NZ在住の方は無料でした。マオリ族の民族舞踊ハカダンスを観る場合には、追加料金あり。

It's a great day trip. My advice is to hike up to the summit 1st, up the shaded path... then to the beach, then back to ferry. Warning if it is hot, it will be VERY hot on Wangitoto. Bring water and a hat, sunscreen. The trek from the beach to ferry is 1.5 hours on black lava rock. Although it is along the ocean, it was VERY hot to walk it. This trail is beginner friendly and it’s easy to hike up the summit. Don’t miss exploring the Lava Cave - just bring a torch as it’s pitch black inside! Overall the hike took us 4hrs and about 20k steps.
Make sure to bring your own food and drink as they don’t have commercial cafes/restaurants in the area. The ferry going to Rangitoto has a mini cafe that makes good coffee too.

相変わらず地元に人気のレストラン
オーナーと初めて知り合ったのは10年以上前のまだTokyo Bayができる前で、当時話題だったSOTO Japanese Garden restaurant(2013年閉店) でマネージャーをやっていた時でした。当時から接客に非常に長けていていつも最高のパフォーマンスで素敵な時間を過ごさせて頂いていました。Tokyo Bayには数回程度しか来ていませんが悪い印象を受けた事はありません。入り口を入ると直ぐに案内のスタッフに声をかけられて適切な対応をしてくれ、5人ほどのホールスタッフが良いサービスを心がけて頑張っているのが伺えます。ランチ時にもなるとあっという間に満席で人気の高さが伺えます。
道を挟んで目の前がビーチのちょっと高台になっている素敵な立地で、夏の天気の良い日に過ごすのに最高のレストランです。店内に45席程、店の脇に外席が14席、更に階段を降りた外に10席ほど設けられておりゆったりと座る事ができます。
スタッフの対応がとても丁寧で身なりなどもきちんとされていて良かったです！
たまたま座った席も眺めがよくて、気持ちよく食事ができました。

We started with oyster which came with ice tray with salty ice flakes which enhance the oyster experience.

Beautiful restaurant, very welcoming and helpful staff. Food quality was superb. Family was happy with the meal, though the portions felt a bit small. As a person who doesn’t like seafood, the tuna sashimi, market fish tostadas and mussel fritters were actually really good and were very fresh! The madeleines were also a highlight and the jet planes were delightful. Somehow the meat dishes weren’t as great as the rest, the veal was a bit tough and the duck lacked a bit of flavour. Think in total took 2+ hours for all our food to arrive but the food itself was great as expected. Our group of 20+ came in for a Friday afternoon booking and casual drinks with mixed seating/standing and everything ran smoothly (we stayed for hours). From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by lovely staff. I had a really pleasant experience with my partner at Joe's Eatery.
The staff here are so nice and welcoming. I got the $18.00 chicken sandwich and my partner got the $18.00 Creamy Mushrooms. We also got a side of Polenta fries which was a bit pricey but well worth the price. The food was fantastic and was served to us in a short time.
They also serve Irish coffees here which is not easy to come by. I highly recommend getting this if you need a fresh kick to your day.

A modern French experience at an affordable price. Choose between the chef’s selection or al a carte off the menu. My companion and I went with the latter option and it was perfect! The service was exceptional.

Trust the Chef menu at Atelier was such a great surprise. There was a good amount of food and the portions were not slim either. Food was pretty delish and well presented as well. Interior of the restaurant is quite chic with a service to match it. Was definitely one of the most value for money multi course meal that I’ve had. The atmosphere is always great, and the food never disappoints. The tartare and ceviche are absolute must try, every dish is beautifully presented and full of flavor. They also have a great selection of drinks to go with your meal. And make sure to save room for dessert because they are absolutely incredible!

i tend to always have one thing or two to pick on restaurants, but i have actually nothing when it comes to atelier. the atmosphere is an immediate 10 out of 10, and the service was well above average among the restaurants with a similar price range.

This is mine and my partners all time favourite buffet. We love the chicken nibbles here and the variety of meats,seafood,sides. We also love the price $25pp . Cheaper for kids , We often come here whenever we get the chance and we always leave satisfied,happy and full, thats a gurantee. Tried them last week for the first time and ordered their Chicken Shawarma. The first bite is divine with the burnt pita flavour coming out of it. An event was recently catered by these guys for us. I had heard amazing things and the staff were incredible! Really kind and knowledgeable ensuring impressively precise presentation. I’ll start with the good stuff - good hummus (it’s the very smooth kind) and absolutely outstanding baba ganoush. The falafel was excellent in texture and flavour - light and fluffy - but I found them to be far too salty. The chicken shawarma was especially salty I couldn’t eat it. First time here to try it out and was not disappointed. Steak and Cheese pie was amazing. Tender, juicy steak pieces and the cheese added that extra flavour to it. The Cookies and Cream, Caramel Slice and Caramilk Tart were delicious. Not too sweet, not too bland. The fact that it’s also Gluten Free is an added bonus for those with intolerances or Coeliac. Favourite was definitely the Caramel Slice. Reminds me of a giant Toffee Pop. Glad to have made the trip from Hamilton and will do so again. My friend introduced me to this restaurant as he knows that I don’t do fine dining in NZ given I spent nearly a decade in Tokyo. That’s not to say NZ can’t do fine dining but I just couldn’t be bothered to try it here as reviews are hit and miss. In Japan you can use Tablelog and it’s pretty much on the money. Tokki however has now changed my mind on NZ fine dining. Tokki is very much like one of those restaurants in Ebisu, Hiroo or Azubu Juban: High end neighbourhoods in Tokyo with very good but discreet restaurants.
We ordered the sashimi with this mustard type of paste covered with fine green onions, the deep fried egg plants, the stuffed chicken wings with prawn, the snapper bibim bap, the flat noodles (one with the gachu jang flavour and the other with mushroom and truffle oil), minced chicken on Korean pancake, roasted sweet corn with a cream puree and for dessert there melon flamed baked Alaska. The sashimi was superb - it was Nobu without the Nobu. The chef did his own dressing which was flavorful but not heavy. It was topped with fine spring onions. He tried to explain it to us the dressing but I can only describe it simply as light refreshing mustard flavour without the harshness of mustard. The egg plant was excellent, it was deep fried in a light crunchy batter with just enough sweetness. The stuffed prawn chicken wings were really good and our 6 year old ate nearly one on her own which is something as children don’t do sea food. The minced chicken on Korean pancake was excellent. The texture of the pancake was crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. The roasted sweetcorn with this cream parfait type pure was very, very good and the texture excellent. The snapper bibim bap was great especially with their own self made sesame oil. The highlight for us though is their flat noodles. It was al dente, had a slight chewiness and the thickness was just right. We ended with their (I understand) signature melon ice cream on a stick baked Alaska. It was nice to have at the end.
The wine list is extensive with the high end champagnes to nice NZ chardonnays. They do the high balls and have just beers to satisfy everyone.
Given this was my first fine dining experience in NZ I cannot compare it to other restaurants in terms of price but I can say this fhat for the price we paid it was deeply satisfying in terms of taste and portion size so much so that we had to go for a walk afterwards! If you go you won’t be disappointed by the food and service.

Kat was amazing from the start to end. She ran us through our menus and explained what was included etc. Every time Kat saw us run low on drinks she always topped us up with more before we even got to ask. 🥰 - She was Gentle, Kind and always served us with an absolute Smile.
Our favourite dish of the evening had to be the Main dish; We chose Pork Belly served with Polenta and Parmesan Fries and Garden Salad. 10/10 recommend all the flavours went really well together, the Pork belly cooked to Perfection and truffle Mayo sauce with the Parmesan Fries wow! Plate wiped clean🔥
Entree was new for our tastebuds, but it was overall still a great experience! Dessert we had Chocolate Petite Fours with Cheese board we didn’t quite the cheese board but the Chocolate Petite? My partners a chocolate fan we were taken away with the creativity that was put into it we loved it.
Last but not least the live piano music 🎶 He played John Legend All of Me at some point and we were just in awe of it all taking us back to the night we drove home from our ball night in High School. Truly memorable night for us.

I had my 30th here and it was INCREDIBLE. Highly recommend to come with a group and have some insanely good cocktails and hit the Karaoke room (be sure to book in advance!).
