By designing refreshed and comprehensive elementary and secondary wetland education programming that focuses on curriculum-based hands-on activities, we’ll be able to connect students of all ages with wetland ecology and conservation. The DUCC will become an education hub offering a truly unique educational experience. This includes enhancing our indoor classroom and learning facility. They’re planning to restore a small wetland and expand the trail system near the outdoor classroom at the DUCC. By doing this, we’re making sure students can get their hands dirty dipping for critters and exploring a true wetland ecosystem on-site at the centre.
