2023/10に訪問しました。 イギリス唯一のミネラルを含む温泉。 お風呂場を表す『bath』の語源ともなったと言われるローマンバス。 現在は実際に入浴は出来ないけど、博物館が周りに出来ていて、その歴史を彷彿とさせてくれている。 ローマ人が建てたと言われるこの施設は『テルマエロマエ』の世界観がかしこに感じられます。 年齢により入場料が割引されます。 この街全体が『世界遺産』に認定されており、古のイングランドを味わうにはピッタリの場所です。

日曜夜に来店。混んでいなかった。5-7時は2品のディナーセットが頼めるため注文。 Bunsが出てくるのか不明だったが、starterもメインもバンズだった。 スタータをガーリック焼き、メインをポークにした。食べごたえ十分。ソフトドリンクと合わせて２３ポンド。甘い方も食べてみたい。

店員さんの笑顔がとても素敵でした。お茶もおいしく、楽しい時間を過ごせました。

夏に来た時には並んでいて入れなかったのですが、3月に来たら待ち時間もなくすんなり入れました。ハーフサイズを2人で分けて名物のバンズは付き合わせなしで、あとお店ブレンドの紅茶のセットをいただきました。味は特に特別感はないけどフワッとパンにカッテージチーズとジャムでシンプルで美味しかったです。

I witnessed 2 station staff shouting at a lovely elderly gent who made a mistake with his ticket and then a large bloke on the exit giving a mum of with young crying kids - who's phone was cracked and her ticket wouldn't work to let her exit the station at 9pm last night (the train we were all on had been delayed coming out of london) it was a disgrace of a service.
