They only suggest to donate $5 per adult if you would like. My kids loved the lower level, which includes a beautifully done railroad exhibit. The detail they put into it is amazing! It must have taken a very long time for them to put that together. There is also a room with toys for kids to play (which the lady in the front desk claims was sanitized).
