We had a great meal here upon recommendation from a friend who knows Santa Fe and enjoys dining out. The food was creative while still being approachable and delicious! Everything was fresh and flavorful with local ingredients. I had the butter lettuce salad and the lobster and my partner had the sea bass entree. We are new residents of Santa Fe and we are making our rounds and trying all the great restaurants. Coyote Cafe has been our favorite restaurant so far. You have to make a reservation. I’ll start by saying I’ve been here before and was blown away by everything. Tonight…..not so much. A group of 7 of us had dinner at Coyote Cafe and none of us left impressed.
We started with a few appetizers and cocktails. All were delicious, especially the Cesar salad. The main courses were not as good. We had the scallops, elk, duck, and flat iron steak. The elk and duck were good. No complaints but not raving about them. The flat iron was cooked and plated perfectly but the spices just about ruined the dish. It wasn’t just one person’s opinion, the entire table tried it and had the same conclusion. Three people ordered the scallops and nobody enjoyed the dish. I was one of them and I actually sent it back (I never do that). They were all plated beautifully and the texture of mine were perfect. The problem is the flavor. We all agreed the spices were not complimentary to scallops. Mine actually tasted like fuel or some sort of petroleum (I’m assuming something they used to char them) making the scallops inedible. They did replace my dish with the previously mentioned flat iron steak without any issues. But when we got the check, we were charged for both dishes and had to have it corrected (they fixed it without issue). The desserts were delicious.
I really wanted to go and show all my friends how great this place was but we all left underwhelmed. Maybe I’ll try it again, but I’m not exactly rushing back.

I want to start by giving major kudos to the service team here! Our server, Andy, was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our meal. He and the two other team members who refilled our water and cleared tables were all attentive and kind.
I have a dairy allergy, so I usually struggle to find options at fine dining restaurants, but Andy went above and beyond. My sister and I stopped in at Secreto Bar during our girls getaway, and we had an amazing experience! Went for the flamenco show fix price dinner on Saturday night during restaurant week. The menu is simple with a Spanish flair. The bar has mixed drinks, beer, and wines (also with a Spanish tilt).

Our dinner service at El Farol was fantastic. Our server Jose was on top of it. Super friendly and helped elevate our experience overall. The food was amazing as well. Sat for the pre set menu with the flamenco dancing. Such a wonderful time. Super cool and fun to watch. Haven't done anything like that before and would highly recommend to anyone going to Santa Fe. Show up early for your choice of table for the show. Parking across the street if you're willing to pay.

We visited El Farol for the Flamenco show. Every portion of the food was delicious, the service was great and we were well taken care of, and the flamenco show was intimate and emotive. First time in Santa Fe and we were very hungry and decided to stop in and try it out. We’re so glad we did the food was so delicious for a brewery which can usually be hit or miss but this was a major hit! Note pictured the Mac and cheese and Brussel sprouts which were the both incredible! The chicken enchiladas were so tasty and the hamburger was great paired with the chile fries. We brought our toddler and the outdoor seating was perfect so he could play in the rocks. Definitely would recommend and will be back just for the Mac and cheese! The only downside to our experience was that the service was a bit slow. So just be prepared to spend a bit of time here.

My husband and I lunched here today. While the food and beer was decent, our overall experience was somewhat tainted by where we were seated and the lackadaisical attendance of our server.
We were seated in the sun and had it not been 80 degrees with direct sunlight, it might have been pleasant.

A great place for food, however the seevice seems hit-and- miss. We waited for 5 minutes to be greeted and seated. And another 4-5 minutes for water and menus. The waiter was friendly and enthusiastic, and served other guests quickly although not us.
I chose the Shrimp and Grits but it had just sold out so had the Tamales which were very tasty.

My husband is a beer nerd, lives and dies by his Untapped app. They had beers from around the world and he enjoyed several of them.The funny thing is that I am not a big fan of beer or cider, but I ordered the Blood Orange Cider by Austin East Ciders and it was amazing! I walked into an amazing experience exploring the plaza. Following the sounds of soft laughter and the aroma of amazing food I stumbled into La Casa Sena. I entered from the lovely historic building that makes up half of the outdoor dining and was quickly seated. The service was amazing and the staff anticipated my every need.

Made a sporadic dinner reservation for Thanksgiving 2021 and then planned an entire roadtrip from Texas around it. It was totally worth it. We had the best dinner. The little dining area we were in was tucked away and so private which was a nice touch. Everything we ate delicious. The service was smooth and friendly. Excellent food and service. Great to have interesting Mediterranean cuisine as a change of pace in Santa Fe. Patio is just beautiful. We had a four top with one chair in the sun and asked to change to one fully in the shade. The new manager, Stu, was exemplary and made it happen easily. We stopped in for lunch. We ate at the outside courtyard area which was really nice. There is lots of shade and there was a nice breeze so it was not hot at all. While wandering around Santa Fe we found this beautiful outdoor restaurant. They were preparing to open later in the day but we made a point of remembering it and so glad we did!
We booked our final dinner in Santa Fe here and it was magical. The lighting is ethereal and the large round table reminded me of eating in Sicily.
They started us off with warm rosemary bread that will knock your socks off. For my entree I ordered muscles and they were highly seasoned, better than I'd ever had them. I'm glad I ordered a "small plate" because it was plenty.
To finish the meal we shared a lovely piece of tiramisu among four of us. The one person who ordered coffee said it was the best he had his entire time in Santa Fe.
Many kudos to our server. She was very busy with at least one table of maybe 10+ people yet she did not neglect us.

The restaurant is an easy walk from the La Fonda Hotel. No reservation was needed at 8 pm when we arrived.

Definitely a must do if you’re in Santa Fe! Les Combes winery is the largest winery in New Mexico. Their wines are incredible. Honorable mention to the limited release Cabernet Sauvignon, Cab Franc, and the Malbec. Every wine I had was exceptional and the atmosphere was cool, comfortable, with all of the best tunes.

It’s welcoming and with some of the friendliest staff in the area, they are knowledgeable about the different wines and are sure to help your visit be a pleasant one. We had the perfect night at Pranzo. Everything we ate was fantastic. We started with an appetizer off the specials. It was focaccia bread with roasted garlic spread and herbs and was phenomenal. It came with a little tangy salsa that I wasn't sure about on description but was fantastic with the bread.
For my entree I got the funghi pizza which was straightforward but excellently executed. Very crispy thin crust, clean mushroom-forward flavor, and a light tough on the truffle oil. Perfect.

A spanish tapas style retaurant located in the heart of downtown Santa Fe. Every dish was excpetional, and the wine choices were fabulous. The service was flawless, attentive and genuine, prompt and knowlegeable. The wine service was performed perfectly. Food quality was what I would expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant in Madrid. Overall a delight. I would absolutely return to this restaurant. The tradition paella and the seared yellowtail tapa were standouts.

There is also an indoor bar and a comfy couch for drinks before dinner (if you can snag it on a busy night). So what’s old-school about it? Caesar Salad made tableside to start your meal and traditional Bananas Foster flamed at your table to end it (offered only inside). The menu offers both old-school choices (clam chowder with a house twist — we loved it), Veal Marsala or Piccata (two of the world’s great classic dishes), Filet Oscar (which means Mignon crowned with crab), and several steaks. But the menu also offers creative choices, such Blue Crab Stacked Scottish Salmon, Truffle Mushroom Risotto, and Truffle Mushroom Soup (loved that too). Stopped into Dinner for Two for their Happy Hour (4–6 PM) and had a great experience. We sat at the bar and were lucky to have Zack, one of the best bartenders/servers we’ve had—attentive, friendly, and fun to talk to.

Dinner for two was the most disappointing restaurant I think I have ever been to. Walking in felt like a club. They had the table side Caesar salad sitting at the front door, I watched a man walk by and sneeze on it, all ingredients sitting out.

This is a fabulous place to watch the sunset. The view across the city is spectacular. The place was busy but we were seated quickly. Our first visit was for the TX/UGA game, and it was fantastic. Even though the place was packed, our waitress Bree was incredible—attentive, friendly, and made us feel like we were her only table. I enjoy this restaurant for many reasons, the food is excellent with something for everyone, the cocktails are sublime, but the service and atmosphere is what makes it my favorite place. The manager is always there to greet guests with a welcoming smile, the hosts are attentive and always make an effort to seat us where we are most comfortable, and the bartender is always happy to whip up a special something based on our specific tastes. We didn't want to leave Santa Fe without trying a nice restaurant. We picked the Palace among the 3 or 4 options that we liked the most, based on availability and menu.
We were very happy with our choice because we had a great dinner outside in the patio. The temperature was just perfect on this late July evening.
We shared appetizers, the octopus 🐙 and the bass cliche (see photos). Both were delicious. My wife tried the arroz caldoso and it was equally savory. Having lived several years in Spain, we know what a good arroz caldoso is, and this one was clearly on the list. I had the roasted duck and it was really good too.
Service was excellent and we really had a great time. Ready to repeat next time we'll return to SF!

An underrated dinner spot. I've come here twice for dinner and each time the quality of food has been astounding. The shrimp and green onion risotto is my favorite. The salads are a delight for the eyes as well as the taste buds. The polenta, lamb, and fish dishes are also excellent. The spectacularly flavorful food is housed off of The Plaza in a renovated home turned restaurant/provisions space.
We were escorted upstairs, with no reservation on a Saturday evening, possibly due to the local fiesta going on, but we were skeptical at first.
We got some amazing window seating with a fresh breeze flowing the aromas of the house around, and we were enticed by the unique menu offerings.

My partner excitedly grubbed on a lamb burger that was accented perfectly with the garnish it had, and yes I had a bite too!
The chocolate mousse dessert was sprinkled with sea salt and topped with some of the most tart and sweet raspberry jam I’ve had on a dessert, and it was fantastic.
Farm to table, elevated, but not overpriced and a thoroughly thought through menu will entice us to try this spot again when we’re in town.
