When we finally did, and I looked up the trail again and saw the elevation gain, no wonder it was so tough. About 1000 feet elevation gain! And trust me, that was all on the hike back to the trailhead. I can't believe this is listed as an easy hike! The trail also seemed very unmaintained compared to Grotto. Having to climb over downed trees and walk across tree branches to stay on the trail. Very narrow in some spots. It was a steady climb and as long as you look where you are going you will be fine. I managed it in a pair of adidas samba’s with no issues. Like I get it, it's an amazing sight, but seriously the people who selfishly stop for 3 or 4 minutes when they could pull over ahead and walk back is ridiculous. We did the loop that includes 3 waterfalls. The bridge by the first one (Juney Whank Falls) was cute and allowed easy access to the falls. Our favorite was the second one: Indian Creek falls. There is a small island out in the creek, tons of butterflies, and a nice breeze off the creek and falls. (Much appreciated in the hot July afternoon.😁) There are lots of people tubing at this time of the year starting right near those falls and continuing past the last one (Tom Branch Falls). The trail is very wide on last bit from Indian Falls to the end. We parked by the picnic area and used the bathroom there before & after hike. It is a nice clean bathroom (but no soap) with sanitizer by the door and about 6 stalls. There is also an outdoor changing area that is sheltered. Only $5 for a parking tag. This is a great hike -- definitely check it out!

The hike up to Juney Whank from the parking lot was quite steep right off the get, but the trails are wide and very well maintained.
