What a delightful fish restaurant, I only wish I could have brought my wife and friends. For starters I had the St Austell Bay mussels for starters which were beautifully smooth and silky in a lovely white wine sauce. I had the Padrón Peppers, Davidstow Cheddar & Jalapeño Fritters, Elderflower Cooler, Mac & Cheese Burger with a Blackened Sweet Potato on the side. I think this burger does need a few pickled veggies on the side, included with the burger and not as an extra purchase, as a palette cleanser. So can recommend this if you’re a fan of truffle; but again, bear in mind it is a heavy side and a decent portion. The elderflower cooler was refreshing, but a lot more sour than expected. With elderflower drinks I expect that concentrated sweetness, but this primarily tasted like lemonade in my humble opinion.
