However, from our couple of tours with him we realized that he sometimes sticks to his predetermined plan and overlooks what’s right in front of him. We had a very vivid display of aurora within city limit, right after we started the tour. But he didn’t stop the van there, rather explained to us that there’s a high chance of seeing an even better one later in the night, which did not happen. We eventually got to see the aurora, but not as vivid. Overall, he is your guy if you want to maximize your chances of seeing any form of aurora, especially in cloudy conditions.
