I visited this place for lunch with my family, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely great every dish we ordered was cooked to perfection and full of flavour. The steak pie stood out the most: rich, hearty, and packed with delicious flavour. The burgers were equally impressive, juicy and well seasoned, and my brother couldn’t stop raving about his fish and chips crispy on the outside and tender inside.

Little gem of a cafe near Loch Lomond. Me and my family randomly found this place and decided to have a look. We ended up dining in and having a lovely lunch. The tomato soup was really nice and had so much flavour. The serving size was quite big and good value for money.
The service was fantastic, the waitress highlighted to us that one of the soups had ham in it which we couldn’t eat, this was really nice of her to inform us.
Overall a really lovely place to take family. The surroundings are quite homely and the food is fresh and home made.
After we ate, we went for a stroll on Loch Lomond banks which was a great way to end our lunch :)

Best scone of my life👍. I had as well the haggis, on oir last day in Scotland, and that's totally palatable from a french point of view. Very simple dish served with mashed potatoes and melted cheese that reminds me of the aligot in Clermont Ferrand.
Service is excellent, friendly waitresses, but it comes with a hefty price tag. That's the cost of reputation. Bad surprise, I got a penalty for not parking my motorcycle properly. An expensive brunch indeed.

Excellent Cafe both for its ambience and delicious coffee; the pancakes with crispy bacon and maple syrup were perfect. What was truly impressive was their attention to detail. We had a toddler with us and the warm milk ordered was perfect. The waitress kept an eye on our table to re-top up the free ice-cold water provided. Visited here on a Sunday morning with the family and had the full Scottish. Maybe on the slightly pricey side compared to other places BUT it is worth the extra. Everything was super fresh, quality and well cooked.
Coffee was also great and well made.
Cakes were top notch too.

My wife has stayed here a number of times and can’t speak highly enough about The Abbotsford. For my benefit the first time I stayed, a week ago, we were shown round the rooms then handed the key and were told we didn’t have to choose just yet. As two rooms were outstanding I took my time choosing. The service, food - breakfasts and dinners and room, were all second to none. We did the 3 dram tour at £25 each. The tour lasted around an hour, followed by the tasting and them the shop. Our tour guide, Thomas, was fab. Happy to answer any questions he could, able to talk about the history of the building and the different qualities of the whiskey.

As an whisky lover, it's a kind of duty and faith to visit at least one of distilleries in Scotland. So I brought my family to the Deanston distillery and we met my Netherlands friend and his family. We had the distillery tour together there. It's unforgettable memory for me.

I’ve visited this place a few times and absolutely love it. The set up is super cosy so it’s especially nice if visiting in Autumn/Winter. The decor is lovely - it’s quaint and cosy and very homely. There are quite a few tables inside with benches outside too. The food is lovely - I’d especially recommend the pies. There are plenty of choices for drinks but my personal favourite is the coffee, one of the nicest I’ve tried. The staff are so nice and helpful and very welcoming. First visit to Clubhouse at Princes Square.As a partially deaf person I was worried about the ambiance and noise levels. Ok, it was lunch time but there were no worries, normal conversation was perfectly possible . My friend had good ,old fashioned Mince and potatoes in a rich gravy which was delicious. A hearty bowl of Italian vegetable not unlike minestrone was followed by a huge salt and Chilli Chicken white bread sandwich with a spicy mayonnaise type dressing. Both were excellent. We booked Roman Camp Hotel last minute as a place to stop on our journey north. We booked the small double room with dinner and breakfast. Room was small but as described so no problems here and had a lovely outlook on the gardens. The food at the 3 course dinner, including canapés, and a cooked breakfast were 5 star and service throughout was impeccable. Really enjoyed exploring the hotel grounds and spending time in the communal areas like the library and drawing room, both of which had a fire going. We will definitely return.

Our first time here with our dogs was a pleasant experience. The staff were great and the other patrons loved chatting to and patting our two huskies. However the 2nd time was a complete 180. We asked for a table at the back and sat well away from other patrons, so as not to bother them. The afternoon tea that was brought to us was absolutely delicious sorry we didn't get the whole experience due to Covid restrictions but the food in the boxes was plentiful and we had it over two days Sandwiches, sausage rolls and quiche with one cake first then next day the rest of the cakes.
