If I'm being extra picky, one of the nightstands with the built in plugs wasn't plugged in either (again no outlets available for this). There is no self-parking on site as well. Another downside was the food sadly. Food was very underwhelming for the value... I personally would consider it very overpriced for what it is. We ended up ordering ubereats pretty often during our stay when we stayed in. Drinks were great, shout out to Garrett at the bar! Aside from a few small things that are easily tolerable, I would definitely stay here again! Everyone on staff and the property is amazing!

My friends and family hosted my bridal shower here and we had a mostly pleasant time except for the end. The sandwiches and treats were tasty, the set up was lovely, and the girls serving were very nice. However, at the end of the event while walking to the bathroom someone in our party accidentally bumped into the counter and hit a small tea dish off the table and it broke. We were immediately apologetic and made it clear we understood if we needed to pay. The head server was then VERY RUDE and snarky letting us know we would have to pay which we had already said okay to. She then goes to angrily talk on the phone in the back while rolling her eyes and comes back and VERY RUDELY says we don’t have to pay but we were “way past our time and needed to leave”. It was 5:40pm and based on my understanding our event ended at 5:30pm and we had 15 minutes to clean up which we were doing. I was so disappointed by this interaction and it put such a sour ending to what was otherwise a wonderful 2 hours. This total lack of compassion & customer service for a small mistake solidifies that I can’t recommend this place to others for events. The location is fabulous, right along Ocean Avenue, a short walk from Santa Monica pier, and we had a sea view room which was wonderful. The gym on site which is free to use is the best hotel gym we've ever seen. It's well equipped for a thorough workout and also very clean. Generally, the hotel is clean and well maintained. The only thing I didn't like was the bathroom. Not well ventilated, so every time we took a shower, we had to leave the door open as it steamed up completely. Also, I hate overhead showers if there is no handheld option. The overhead is rigid and was far too strong. And last, but definitely not least, the people who work there are so so so amazing. Warm, helpful, fun, and went above and beyond to make my birthday special. I have to give a special shout out to Jonas and Preston who made my entire night, day, probably at least week :) I also took a tour of a room and would LOVE to stay there even though I live in LA, so if you're looking for a truly great place to stay, this is a must!
