We have travelled Italy extensively and have been to some amazing Italian restaurants in London and Eastbourne, but this wasn't it. Scallops were cooked perfectly, but then drowned in a lot of cream. Rather odd combination and undermines the natural taste of scallops. However, it was still the best course out of three. I then had seafood linguine, which again was really odd. Felt like everything was very separate - you have all your seafood, followed by plain linguine and again, drowned in a lot of very thin broth. It looked like a pot of ramen with seafood, if I am honest. On the positive, their portions are huge so if you are very hungry, this is the place to be. For desert I had panna cotta, which was fully melted so it was more like slob of curdled cream on a bed of some cheap strawberry sauce (like the one they put on 99p icecream). My friend had tiramisu cocktail, which was just gross. Literally vodka, watery coffee and a dash of milk. Those who tried tiramisu cocktails in London will understand our disappointment. Again, on the positive note, waiters were very attentive and provided a great service, however the quality of food and drinks have left us disappointed.

After a short break away to Salisbury from Cornwall I found this little gem of a pub, great atmosphere, great food and great beer (especially Rude Giant). Openheimer the resident canine was a loving gentle giant and Carl the landlord was an absolute delight. Definitely not a rude giant ;). He couldn't do anything more for me and my family if he tried. He made us feel welcome and was extremely knowledgeable about the local area.
